I love this song. I think she could totally rock out to this song today, do you think it will ever be on the setlist again? When was the last time she did it live, 1998? I would love to see her do it live or see her do a studio version on a new album... Although the Enchanted box set version is perfection!

I think this has got to be Stevie's best rocker. It is just amazing! Your thoughts?

definitely agree, I'll have to send Stevie a copy of Der Magazine. She could totally do it.

I adore Gold and Braid and was ecstatic when she played it during the Enchanted tour. I seriously doubt it will be back though.

I think performing it during the PTM Tour was the farewell of Gold and Braid. :(

Oh right... that would have been a cool show to see. Rooms on Fire and Gold and Braid in the same setlist? I like that!

I think so too. It's a good thing I went to the New Year's show. :woohoo:

I love "Gold & Braid"! That could be a full blown rocker. I saw it on the Enchanted tour and now I just watch it over and over on my HBO, Bella Donna Tour tape. TAPE WHICH WILL SOON BREAK!

We need that released on DVD Stevie! Or I need to figure out how to rig stuff and burn it to a DVD because it is starting to drag.

That is one of my favorite Stevie songs.

I have it on DVD. Must figure out how to burn. My computer has that capability, but I haven't done it yet. Probably because I haven't had to trade, cause I only have BellaDonna (HBO) and mirage on DVD. I'll think about it, and get back to you. :D

Ohh please do Amber! I'd love to have that on DVD, because it is about to break. Let me know. I've got some other goodies I'll send to you!

Thanks,
Patty

I converted everything I had on vhs to dvd. Then I tossed all my VHS tapes.

Gold and Braid is greatness. Nope we won't see it again. Bummer.

Sorry, I found Gold And Braid disappointing without the bouncy arrangement & fun dance moves of the Bella Donna days. People talk about Rhiannon being a pale shadow of what it was, but G & B is as bad an offender, IMO, and with weaker lyrics to boot (or Frankenbok? ;) ).

While I do agree Gold and Braid lost alot of its magic by the Enchanted tour...I think it would rock harder than most of Stevies songs in her set now. BTW, the tambourine throw....pure Stevie greatness
