My scannner wasn't really working, so I took pictures with my digital camera. This at least gives you an idea of what your missing out on (which is not much!)
http://photobucket.com/albums/b2/diamondsnake/?action=logout
It's in opposite order, so the front cover is the last photo on there. And the first photo on the list is the back coever, you know what I mean?

Twenty Dollars. It seems like a lot considering it only like 12 pages! But with such a short tour, they had to get something out fast I guess...

These look great - except I can't believe Stevie is using that SYW spin pic again. It's used so frequently you'd think it was the best pic she'd ever taken.

Is it just me or is this the most ass tourbook ever? I heard there's a photo of Stevie and she's in the crease of the tourbook with a staple through her head  I'll own one for posterity but other than that, i'm not too impressed.

Aw, I'd still like one. The photos are nice. How the heck am I going to get one? None on eBay have even cropped up! Stevie programs in general are sort of scarce on there. :(
Anyone willing to get me one? I'd PayPal the money for the book and shipping, handling and whatever else.

Stevie and FM are the only tour books I have, so I wouldn't know a good tour book from a bad one. What tour books of other bands do you guy's have that you could say are spectacular and are how a tour book should be done? Just curious.

I still think Stevie could stand up on that stage, point out into the audience at ANY gay man there, and find someone who'd be willing to put together a stunning tourbook for her free of charge.
But I have to give the gal credit for having a lot of heart, and wanting to give her brother some work. Just too bad we're the ones who "suffer" for it!
(By the way, on the page dedicated to Sulamith Wulfing... is anyone else as bugged as I am about that "trademark" glitch? The smiling pic of Stevie on the opposite page is GORGEOUS though.)
Thanks for sharing these, Christopher!

Thanks for the pics. The tour book looks medicore at best. I'm splurging for the infamous rainbow shirt (if they still have it) instead. I tend to buy tourbooks, look at them once, put them away and never look again.
I'm applying for the "Massage Therapist" position for the next tour.
I love how they had to label "Stevie Nicks" under her picture because if they hadn't no one would have had any idea who that blond singing on stage is.

Having a heart, my ass. She's been pulling a Britney Spears for years....Britney is paying for all of Kevin's expenses and Stevie is doing the same for her brother. The end result is crappy art. I'm sorry, but that's what I think.

I'm not even sure that I like that much more -- it certainly looks more put together than this. My biggest peeve with the SYW tourbook is it contains some of the same pictures over and over again. Plus, no one bothered to check the tourbook for errors -- grammar mistakes abound.

Giving a loved one a "legitimate" job, so that they're getting paid for doing something... even if they're not really doing much of anything, or aren't very good at what it is they're supposed to be doing.
I'm not excusing it or defending it, I'm just saying it's done out of love (or pity  ).
They have another typesetting glitch on the "La Belle et la Bête" page, and on the inside back cover, they credit "John Kenny" for photographs.

Here's a collage of just a few of the 40 pages (!!) of Janet Jackson's 93/94 tourbook. I don't even like Janet Jackson, but I bought it for 2 bucks at a used bookstore because I thought it was a really cool program. I would love it if something like this were available for Stevie.

I don't have a tourbook in hand -- I'm going only by Christopher's scans. But what I see is beautiful. I love the shots of Stevie, the framing, the compositions, the juxtapositions (the Stevie & Waddy page is very moving), & the messages from Stevie. (The folks over at Criterion are probably wondering why sales for "Beauty" have shot up in recent weeks.)
I would say that this is just about my favorite tourbook since the 1980 tourbook. I would like to order one of these or have someone here pick one up for me.

Wow...that Janet program puts it in perspective. I guess a much better job could've been done, but I still want the GD tourbook. I can't help myself!
I've been thinking of designing my own Stevie t-shirts for myself. Get a little fabric paint, fabric markers, etc., and go to town! The only thing is I can't sew worth beans, so I'd have to get some of those fitted t-shirts from Old Navy and do it on them. Hmmm...sounds like a fun project...

Janet Jackson- now THAT's what I call a tourbook!
Sheebus... I think this has got to be Stevie's worst tourbook yet. I mean, if that half-shot of Stevie on Daryl Smith's page wasn't bad enough, the freakin' purple lettering on the cover! The tour logo looks downright da Vincian by comparison! In fact, I think an all-white cover with the Lucky Charms design on the cover would have been better!

Wow, I see what you mean. There's actually some reading there that takes longer to read then 2 minutes and lots of photo's, very cool.
Since I come from a trucking background, I personally would love to see more photo's of the the "Upstaging" trucks and drivers and more behind the scene's on the tour buses and backstage. I mean do we really need another picture of Stevie just standing at the mic, how about one with her during a shawl change (with Karen) or reebok to boot change with someone pulling her boots off  You know what I mean, the funny candid shots.

Nicksfix John Kinny is probably having fits now. What's really funny about that to me is: many of you might not know or remember but a long time ago, one of the first Fleetwood Mac Web sites was called "The Chain Gang" & it was created by a nice guy named Jeff Kenny (or Kenney, I can't remember). John Kinney's Stevie site went up at about the same time, but a lot of us in those early days had trouble remembering which guy was John Kinney & which was Jeff Kenny.

Here's a page that lists some of the Duran Duran tourbooks. They're more like art books that tour programs.
http://www.duranduran.dk/books.htm
A friend of mine had the 93/94 Tour book, and it was incredible, even though it looks like a rumpled paper bag on the cover. Interspersed throughout the book were clear vellum pages with printing on them, which completely changed the meaning/feeling/look of the page it was covering (in relation to the band and album they were promoting). Also, in the centerfold were four seemingly abstract art prints covered by several layers of vellum. You lifted them up, peeling off layers, to reveal the band members' faces.
And, all of their programs have many pages of interviews, band quotes, jokes, stories about the album recording sessions.

Thanks for posting those pics. There are some nice pages in it. It'd be nice to see a little more. I don't see why they can't make the tour books before the tour starts. Old tour books seemed to have more posed and professional photos in them, and some pics of bands in the studio making the album. Maybe a few pics of a dress rehersal or something. I don't see why Stevie's people can't do that now. And sell them starting on the first concert.
Also it'd be fun to see some of her artwork in every tour book. And/or her poetry. You know she must have some that sounds "related" to some of her songs. It'd be great to be able to read some of that. And since this tour is not promoting a new cd, they could have easily used some old photos of her we have never seen or atleast not officially seen.
Oh well. I'd still get one if I was at one of the show. But I won't pay a fortune to get one on ebay. I am very thankful for all of you fans who scan and take pics of them to share with us all. Then in years to come if we see them cheap on ebay or whatever, we can order one if we want. For now I'm still always hunting for cheap prices for like the Tusk tour book, White Winged Dove, and Street Angel. Oy! But I'm getting older...I can probably live without them now. All my Stevie and Fleetwood Mac memoribilia is packed away since our last move. Except for a few framed posters. :)

Chris Nicks is the one that needs a staple through the head.
I'll own one too, but damn it's terrible.
lol...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way too! I've been complaining about Chris Nicks for a long time. And for those of you who are happy with the program...you are setting your standards too low! Most of it is plain sh*t. Chimpanzees could have provided better art direction! Most tour books (from other artists) are much more imaginative, make better use of artwork, have better PROFESSIONAL layouts, and far better photo editing.
I always hope for the best...but it always comes to down this crap level. The photos really suck big time! And what's with the front cover...so static...and not very flattering or arty in anyway. And that clunky font used for an inspid title. Why wasn't the "The Gold Dust Tour" title used. For that matter, it doesn't take much effort to come up with a logo or merely a font that embodies some sense of style.
At $20 a pop, fans are being fed puke on page. With all that said...I still inexplicably want one (being the ever so obsessive completest). Her tour is coming nowhere near Portland, OR and I can't get away to any of her shows.
I'm still searching for the Other Side Of The Mirror and Street Angel tour books. I have a spare near-mint Rumours Tour Program if anyone wants to trade. Do you think the current program will be for sale on official sites? It not, if someone wants the Rumours program, pick up an extra copy of the new program at the next concert you attend. We can work it out.

I don't think there was a tour book for her first tour. It was a very short tour. The only thing close to that would be the Bella Donna music book (guitar, piano, vocal). That had a lot of great colored pictures and comments from Stevie. I still regret not buying it way back in 1981.

Man! I would give a ball to have the chance to design one of those things! The type on the cover couldn't be more hideous! Chris did one of the standard "guy with a computer and thinks he's a designer 'cause he's got the programs" techniques of squishing the font used for her name to make it all wide and weird looking. Such a shame to see a project with such incredible potential turn out so badly. Sigh... some day. Some day...

Crossing fingers they'll have one at the concert on the 22nd. :D

Is it just me or is this the most ass tourbook ever? I heard there's a photo of Stevie and she's in the crease of the tourbook with a staple through her head  I'll own one for posterity but other than that, i'm not too impressed.
That's pretty damn funny! IMO, the tourbook is rather lame. Some photo shoot outtakes would be nice - you know, something exclusively for the tourbook. Stage shots are nice, the bigger ones anyhow.... Could have been much better.
But, I'll end up buying one anyway.

IMO, the best tour book ever was for OSOTM. There is just so much in there. The most signifigant though is Wild Heart. I also don't think this is the worst tour book ever. That award goes to Enchanted. Random pics of Stevie's home. Let's invite all the fans to feel like legit stalkers. lmao. And any shot in the Enchanted tourbook that consists of a unique HWW pic was surely "softened" and not in full frame to have a good look at. OY! So annoying!
I too will buy this tourbook cause I must have all tourbooks, but I agree w/ the general count that these are pretty puny. Not horrible, not off the hook. A far better job done than the proclaimed "ass shirts" of LV. LMFAO! Love it. I want to stencil "ass shirt" on the back, right above the tombstone.
All the other artists mentioned here, their tourbooks. Holy Moly. What happened to the days of Stevie investing in a collective tourbook? It's got to be one of the easiest and cheapest things to make. Unreal.

IThey have another typesetting glitch on the "La Belle et la Bête" page, and on the inside back cover, they credit "John Kenny" for photographs.
I'm sorry but that just makes me .

No, the most ass tourbook ever was, "Trouble in Shangri-La". In my humble opinion of course.

I think the only tourbook with a consistent design (not necessarily a good one) was the one for Timespace (Whole Lotta Trouble Tour). It used a somewhat attractive, though not original, font; graphical elements were not as haphazardly placed, and it didn't look quite as amateurish as the others.
Speaking of unoriginal fonts, who picks these things? I see the font that was used for The Dance everywhere, from promoting sandwich shop Togo's to the Yerba Buena ice skating rink in downtown San Francisco.
