I may be forgetting some, but of the Love songs in this poll, which one turns you on the most?

SapphireSister

Which turns me on lol? Her singing HSML in Vegas and standing directly in front of her and watching her move slowly..;)

HSML is defintely her sexiest love song ever but Love Is is the most heart felt.

That was sooooo hard to choose. I love all of those songs so much, but i chose Ooh My Love. Now that I think about it, the song does actually turn me on a bit when I listen to it. But I love almost all those songs.

It's Only Love gets my vote, though How Still is a close second. Other than that, this a lame ass group of songs. I think there are some songs much more about "love" than those with the word in the title. That is subject to interpretation, of course.

The funny thing is, is that most of the songs with "love" in the title are about heartache and not love.

Can someone explain to me why everone is blown away by the Vegas was so great? I listened to the audio and she did not hit the notes she usually hits. Cmon she hit higher notes on the song when she was on klonopin for OSOTM. I did not see the visuals yet so maybe im completely wrong, but thats just my 2 cents.

I totally relate to what you're saying. I listened to the audio and I was like...that was it?...but, I did not get to go to Vegas, and I have not seen any videos from it...so I really can't comment I guess. But you also know, everything is better and more amazing when you're THERE.

Her vocals combined with Sharon and Lori (no offense, Jana). It was just amazing for me to finally see it live. The bootleg I have of the song isn't the greatest quality so perhaps that has something to do with it

This song sort of worked in reverse for me in that I didn't really "get it" until I heard the demo, which was after I'd heard the released version.
I kind of feel the same way about Sweet Girl although I liked it just fine on The Dance. And I'd still love to hear the whole Silver Girl demo. The snippet on the Destiny Rules doc sounded like a big improvement over the finished song.

If I recall correctly, the show at the Roxbury was a promo put on by....98.7 FM here in LA (Tower, HELP ME !). Perhaps I should dig up the ticket stub. I know it wasn't a benefit, and I think I paid ten or twelve bucks to get in. AFTER my bf waited half the day in a lawn chair for tickets on Sunset Blvd, then I joined him, and we were both on the clock on a hellish low budget Showtime movie. We could not leave the line and just went in all sweaty, had dinner, got drunk as a couple of hyenas, got early admission and went right up front. Ahhh, the old days.

I remember her doing the "Go On ! Get Out !" and damned near crappin my Calvins.
Plus at one point she got an earring caught in one of her gloves, and she flung that friggin thing right across the room.

Somewhere I have a really bad bootleg. Can't remember if "my lonely one" made it in, but I think it did.

P.S. My boss sideswiped Stevie's Minivan with a giant 12 passenger rental van after the show. That required a long complicated story the next day to the production company. It was a HELL of a night.

 Sounds like fun. ;) Stevie circa '94 was silly and playful, I miss it. She's not like that these days, really. Those old radio interviews from back then prove as much.

The boot that I have (and yes, it's **** quality) has it listed as a benefit show, so I just assumed it was correct. I think my copy is all one track and I hate those ****ing things, so I don't think I've actually even listened to all of it.

Uh, listening to the audio of HSML from Vegas will not do it. It was not her vocals on Wednesday night, it was her delivery. Sort of like Silver Springs from the Dance...it was the performance that makes you go "whoa". Stevie was in a zone and her sensuality was hot. You had to see it. It was the most overt sexual performance I have ever seen out of La Nicks. Most people who were down front were fanning themselves afterwards....her feelings were sort of infectious, if you know what I mean.

Oh and to whom is she screaming "get out!"? Maybe at the person who told her he is not the man for her? This song definately has that stream of consciousness vibe goingv on in my mind, with Stevie singing about her loving in the middle of the night intermixed with the anger at the people who told her he was not the one for her.
I would like to hear her admit who she is asking to "hold still". The "hooolllld still, my love" is freakin hotness. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Swoon.

I went with HSML and I must say that I prefer the album version. I prefer the album version in the cases of many songs, though. I think it's perfection on the album.

That being said, I think "Unconditional Love" is a really romantic love song. I prefer the demo. And y'all try not to flame me too much for liking the song. :)
