Yay!! I didn't think we would get it! Anyone fancy coming over for it? We're only 60 miles north of London! ;)

I was in London today and hadn't heard the news!!

I wondered why Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road tube stations were so busy on a Wednesday lunchtime!! It was manic!

I walked into McDonalds in Leicester Square and it was on the plasma screen TV "Breaking News" on Sky News.. The most bizzarre thing was, about 1/2 mile away, Trafalgar Square was packed with people celebrating and here I was and nobody was remotely bothered!! I looked around and nobody seemed to be reacting..

Quite odd...

MFM, perhaps they are ticked that London won because that means more foreigners and tourists coming to crowd the subway/taxis, shops, etc.

Beware of the Crazy Texans. :]

I'm hoping my mom can come with me for my birthday, but she's more scared of airplanes than I am. She has claustrophobia. :(

You know what else is a bizarre one? Shut up. I mean, Shut your mouth is obvious, but what is "up" ?
Very mysterious.

I think it is derived from the action of the mandible closing by moving upward and thus the talking - or writing in the intransitive sense - will cease. But, as long as the desired effect is achieved - that one indeeds shuts the fu*k up - who cares
