Okay - have to ask because my current fave is blaring and I've been singing it all day:
Let's Get it Started - Black Eyed Peas, baby!! I LOVE this song!!! Impossible to sit still during it.
So what's your current fave?

Lately I've been addicted to Shakira's "Las de la Intuición." It's just a feel-good song that I like to put on repeat.

I've been listening to a lot of 10,000 Maniacs lately. Older stuff, though. To me, they aren't the 10,000 Maniacs without Natalie Merchant.
I've also been listening to The Gore Gore Girls (http://goregoregirls.com) a lot. They sound like a mixture between The Ronettes and The Rolling Stones. They're really, really good. My current favorite songs of theirs are "Astral Man," "Casino" and "Up All Night." And then there's a bunch of Hole songs off of "Live Through This" that I looooove. And then there's "Art Star" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
You know what? If I had to pick a favorite song at the moment, it'd be "C'mon C'mon" by The Von Bondies. Woot.

Stevie should cover this song.
Natasha Bedingfield: These Words
Yes, she's the sister of Daniel Bedingfield  But words cannot express how much I LOVE this song. Has anyone heard it?
I've seen the video a LOT on VH1. She sorta reminds me of Nelly Furtado with the whole vaguely hip-hop thing she has going on. Her voice gets on my nerves, though. :sorry:
Really? I haven't seen the video. I don't know, something about the song that I really like. Don't know about her other stuff though.

"Everybody's Changing" ~ Keane
"Stoned" ~ Dido
"Wake Me Up When September Ends" ~ Green Day
"Redondo Beach" ~ Morrissey

I can't say that this is my "favorite song" right now... but it's the one I've currently become at least temporarily addicted to:
"Wanting You" from Walter Egan's 2002 album Apocalypso Now.

Hmm, I have lots of current favorites:
I have heard "These Words" by Natasha Bedingfield (sp?), and although it's not my favorite song, there's something about it that I like even though it has the potential to get annoying. I can't really explain it.
I do like "Breathe" by Anna Nalick--good song.
Just about anything by Keane is a favorite of mine right now.
My current hip-hop faves are "Don't Phunk w/ My Heart" by the Black-Eyed Peas (although I'm not a big fan of theirs in general) and "Switch" by Will Smith.
One of my favorite songs to sing along to (even though I'm not a big Christian rock fan) is "Come to Jesus" by Mindy Smith.
Oh and I like "Let Go" from the Garden State soundtrack.

Ohhh, duuuuude. That damned song. The rep at my job who's working it put the single in for basically an entire day on repeat awhile back, trying to get into it and I got hooked. I have the promo single in the cd player of my car.
Current favorite song... hmm. I've been listening to Heather Nova's "London Rain" on repeat for two days. That and A.C. Newman's "On the Table."

I freakin love this song!! I've caught the video on CMT a few times. Have you heard Mindy Smiths' version of Jolene, originally by Dolly Parton? I love it.
Right now, I'm hip on Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani and Don't Phunk With My Heart by the Black Eyed Peas. These are just current favorites though, and will be gone in a couple weeks...
I recently borrowed my friend's White Stripes cd (Elephant) and I have just about worn out the songs I Wanna be the Boy to Warm Your Mother's Heart and and Put Her in Your Pocket. Also the last song on the cd..."Well it's true that we love one another...I love Jack White like a little brother..."

I love Linda Perry, I think she looks like a hoot :woohoo: I love her voice. She kind of reminds me of Natalie Merchant (looks wise, who I also love). What's Up, I think is one of those songs that you just love from the first time you hear it. It's too bad that the band was a "one hit wonder". A close friend of mine is in a band that does a cover of that song, and does a really good job of it, so I'm really lucky that I get to enjoy that song every time I see them play.

Yeah Linda Perry totally looks like she'd be one fun chick to hang out with
I haven't heard "What's Up" in a long time - then randomly some radio station here started playing it - I manage to catch it at the VERY END every time  One day I'll catch it at the beginning.
I think it's also one of those songs you either love or hate. I know a lot of people who just HATE HATE HATE it - and I know some who love it - I've never met anyone on the in-between :p

"Octavarium" by Dream Theater...With its obvious nods to Pink Floyd, And especially with the "This is where we came in" sample from Pink Floyd's "The Wall".
Also interesting is the piano part which reproduces Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" note for note at about 6:30 into the song.
