View Full Version : 2nd Atlantic City show review - 7/1/05

I don't usually like to write long reviews, but i had to write a little something about tonight... I just got back from the 2nd Atlantic City show and i have to say it was even better than thursday night's show... Stevie had a little more bounce in her step tonight and the crowd was loving it... in fact, this was probably the best Stevie Nicks audience i have ever seen... during the encore, everyone started chanting "Stevie, Stevie, Stevie"... She emerged from the shadows and busted out "Rock N Roll"... she was on fire tonight and so was everyone else there...
"Sorcerer" continues to be a highlight for me... she's just been pouring a lot of herself into her performances of that song lately.. Also, i gotta say it, "Landslide" was also a highlight... the images in the background make seeing this song live a completely different experience... i got goosebumps seeing pictures of baby Stevie on the screen as she sang the words "i'm getting older too".. it just fit really well..
Circle Dance and Beauty And The Beast were also quite stellar tonight... but "Rock N Roll" was definately the performance of the night.. she belted it out while dancing and shaking her legs back and forth while wearing her tight black studded pants...10 years ago, i never ever thought i would see Stevie perform a song like this in this way... it's so cool to see her doing something different and to see her enjoying herself again...
ok, well, off to Bristow.. :blob2: :woohoo:

Oh gawd. Baby pics of Stevie during Landslide? I would be crying buckets. Ok, so she's feeling better? :] Awesome. Her version of Rock and Roll is unbelievable. I think even Plant and Page would be proud. Thanks for putting that up, btw. :D From everything I've read, it's like Stevie from 20 years ago is back. I hope I get to go later this month, but my mom wants to take me to see my dad (he's sick) so I'm not sure where I'll be. Thank gawd for this place because if I don't get to go, at least I got Vegas and I get to feel like I'm seeing her again and again thanks to your reviews. Thank you! :D

You? are crazy  Glad you made it home safely and enjoyed the second show. Did you hit much bad weather on your way down to AC? I was truly going to go until it began monsooning as I was leaving work.

I think it was sort of like a shake-shimmy thing not unlike something Tina Turner would have done. I don't think we were ready for this jelly!

hmmm.. i didn't hear that... it's possible... my 8th row seat turned into 5th row center because of the lack of ticket sales...
i guess she just shoulda did one show there.. two was kinda overkill with her having nothing to promote..

dude, they were selling 5th row seats on this ticket broker website for $52/ticket for the thursday show... that never would have happened before, even in 2001

Good. Well, at least we have that much established. Another Starbucks run for the way home??
I think people must have left work earlier yesterday because at 6:00 on my way home from work, it wasn't too terrible (except for the storm--visibility wasn't too good where I was and they had tornado sightings). I really wish I had gone but by the time I arrived home, it was after 6:30 and I wasn't too sure how the expressway was looking at that point. Next time

You seem to be the expert, so I'm going to ask you. On the ticket broker sites, I noticed that as the dates approach, the ticket prices go down. And that tickets are still available for shows the day of the concert. How do people get their tickets so quickly? Can brokers have people pick up their tickets at will call?
Basically, if I want to go to a show on July 13th, can I order tickets from a brocker on July 12th? And, if I did, how would I get those tickets? I am freaking out about the Florida shows because nothing goood has shows up on ticketmaster and I am thinking of just ordering from a broker a few days before the show since the tickets are normally really cheap by then. So, I just really want to know how these tickets would end up in my hands. How have you been getting good seats?

Chris....
Ticketliquidators.com
I preach it a lot cuz I use it a lot. They have weekly sales.
It depends on the broker on whether they sell up to the minute or not. They sell a lot of ticketfast tickets, so those are up for sale the day of the show.

Chris, your best bet is to wait til July 12th until around 3pm... Basically, what happens is these websites have clients that post their tickets for sale through them... They get a cut of course, but they are representing those brokers, so they have to be professional about the whole thing... These brokers have access to their tickets through these websites and can lower their prices whenever they so choose to... sometimes you'll see really good seats for less money than some of the crappier seats.. that's because those tickets are being sold by two different brokers..
If you notice, prices usually always come down a day or two before the show... So, if you wait it out til the afternoon the day before the show, you'll find they'll lower their prices even more because they have to sell those tickets on that day, so they can ship them out FedEx, so you can get them the next day... They usually charge around $20 for FedEx priority overnight, but you'll get them the next morning..
also, they also charge a service fee of around $15, so just be sure to calculate that before you decide to buy them...
Good Luck! :wavey:

Lori's looked more like velvet or velour, whatever. Stevie's look more like lycra, and are more boot cut than slim fit.

Thanks for the information everyone! I know it is an unpopular opinion, but I truely miss the Fleetwood Mac fanclub. It was so much easier ordering tickets from them...

I was crazy enough to drive in it, and all the way there I kept saying "Only for Stevie would I do this--only for Stevie!"

Diamond...I don't know if you could do something like this since you seem to want the tickets in hand but Marissa and I walked up to the box office at 7:15 the night of the show in AC. It is a small venue, 3700 seats and I expected it to be difficult to get seats because of the size and the fact it was a casino. (comps) We got fifth row center, on the aisle. No TM fees either. After Vanessa's set we moved up to second row center, aisle. We had INCREDIBLE seats. The entire front row was empty, as was most of the second and third. Comps who never showed up....so we moved right on up. Stood at the stage for Edge too. I recommend to keep checking TM. The day of the AC show eighth row showed up ut I passed figuring something better would show up and it did. Tons of great seats showed up. I almost spent 225 on a second row from a broker. Thank Heavens I talked myself out of it.

Same here. We had 8th row for the second night, and even exchanged (no fees) for 3rd row center aisle. We went straight to the stage both nights, and people in the front row pretty much stayed seated and had no clue what was going on, especially thursday.

Okay, quick question...
If you have your tickets Fedexed by a broker, when is the latest you can order them online? The day before at what time? 5pm?
