NEW YORK (AP) -- After months of speculation, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have tied the knot -- and she's pregnant.

Representatives for both actors confirmed the marriage to The Associated Press on Thursday. Their publicists, Ken Sunshine and Nicole King, also confirmed that Garner is pregnant with her first child.

Sunshine and King would not give any other details.

The confirmation came after Us Weekly reported that Affleck, 32, and Garner, 33, were wed Wednesday at the Parrot Cay resort in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos. The National Enquirer also released photos it claimed showed Garner arriving on the islands with her "Alias" co-star Victor Garber.

In stark contrast to Affleck's much publicized relationship with Jennifer Lopez, he and Garner have been tightlipped about their romance. Aside from appearing at a Boston Red Sox game last fall, they have stayed out of the public eye.

Reports in April about an engagement were never confirmed. In May, E! News reported that Garner was pregnant and the baby was due in November, but neither star confirmed that report.

This is first marriage for Affleck and the second for Garner, who divorced actor Scott Foley in March 2004 after 3 1/2 years of marriage.

Affleck and Lopez called off their September 2003 wedding and broke off their engagement in January 2004. Lopez married singer Marc Anthony later that year.

Garner and Affleck met while they were shooting the action flick "Daredevil," but they didn't begin dating until last year.

She has been filming the drama "Catch and Release" in Vancouver, Canada. Affleck will star as George Reeves, television's Superman, in the upcoming movie "Truth, Justice, and the American Way."

There goes whatever respect I had for Jennifer Garner. Not that I know the man personally, but from what I've seen/heard, I can't stand Affleck.

:rolleyes: Eh, I give it like two years, tops. Her publicist didn't even announce she was pregnant until today, when she announced she had gotten married. Jen obviously has an issue with the whole baby-before-marriage thing, or they would have gone public a long time ago. That was like the worst kept secret in Hollywood.

I thoroughly hate Ben Affleck and I think JG lost her marbles when she dumped Michael Vartan, however, I still love her on Alias and I certainly hope that the pregnancy is not written into the show next year-- because we certainly don't need a Sydney/Not!Vaughn baby running around!

Right, Ben has no frikkin idea what he is doing whereas Matt seems to know exactly. He's more aware.

I'm surprised to not have run into them yet. Well I guess not really. They filmed in the park in my 'hood but I missed it. One afternoon the whole production took over everything with dozens of trucks and such. The next morning there wasn't a sign of any of it so they must have shot at night.

Today I went by where they are supposed to film next week but it doesn't appear ready yet. I think I'll be taking lots of "air breaks" to see what/who I can spot. :lol:

Oh yeah, my roommate's friend met Matt twice and he was very nice both times. He stepped on her foot at The Rack and she insisted on a kiss as penance to which he obliged. I know, she is sassy. Then she ran into him during the Pats parade, her husband's boss spotted him outside and invited him up into the office's tower to see the parade from a bird's eye view. He was really nice and took his picture with her and put up with her hanging all over him, hehe. She is something.

Though Jennifer Garner's pregnancy is being written into the show, The Insider's Marc Malkin is reporting that Ben Affleck babymamma may not be returning to Alias for a sixth season.

Can "Alias" survive without its leading lady, JENNIFER GARNER? Producers are hopeful. Source tells me that Garner has made it clear that she probably won't be returning to the show next year for a sixth season. Producers are apparently betting on this season's new co-star, RACHEL NICHOLS, to save the hit series. She plays a new spy being trained by Garner. If she's a hit, they're looking to make her the show's next star. Garner's rep didn't comment. An "Alias" rep says, "I haven't heard that so I can't confirm that."

We recently told you that Jennifer Garner may be leaving Alias. Well, now comes word that Michael Vartan may be leaving the show as well.

OK, we appear to be in a full-fledged panic mode that Michael Vartan is leaving "Alias" (Wednesdays, ABC). So much so that I've received multiple e-mails about www. mvcampaign.com, which is a campaign to keep Michael Vartan on the show. Here's what I know - he's still listed as part of the cast, and Greg Grunberg, who is leaving the series, is not. With Jennifer Garner's real life pregnancy being written into the show and two new characters joining the series (Rachel Nichols as a young CIA agent and Idole Bouchez as a woman who has been secretly working with Vaughn), changes abound.

ABC president Stephen McPherson said at the press tour "There's some very, very big changes that take place very early on in the season that drive the story for the remainder of the year."

Very concerned over these recent reports, we contacted a well-placed source at ABC, who shared a few details with us about the show.

Jennifer Garner will definitely be on the whole season, as had been reported. However, next season is still up in the air.

Now, with regards to Vartan, our spy tells us that there is a big change in store for his character on the show. Yes, he's going to die! But, thankfully on television, dying does not mean you can't continue to be on a show.

They must be intentionally trying to kill the damned show. No Vartan = No Alias for me. No Garner = No Alias for me. I suppose we could still look forward to Cooper's new show on Fox, however ****ty it may look from the previews.

I'm totally addicted to Veronica Mars. (yes, my name is not Diss). I couldn't see it during the regular season, even though I wanted to, because I had class. But I've been catching up. I love it.

Yeah, I've been hearing about Vartan since the middle of last season, but I think it would royally suck without him. Every time a cast member leaves, things seem to go downhill (Olin, Cooper, Dungey, etc.), and even though they've turned Vaughn into such a bland character overall, it wouldn't be the same. Plus, he's too cute to leave. :laugh:

It's going to get slaughtered on Thursday nights, just like Boston Legal on Tuesdays. I'd just hate for it go out with a whimper and a **** storyline. Send it off in style and don't completely ruin it.

A couple of episodes. I saw that organism thing we call Lisa Rinna on of them. I think it's a great show, and I'll probably get it when it comes to DVD.
