Guys, I found an mp3 of a song called "Farewell" on someone's site, I don't remember. It was listed as a Stevie demo but I have no frame of reference for it. It is a very beautiful instrumental and it sounds like there are people talking in the background. Does anyone have any idea what this song is or where it came from?

Never heard of that one. Hmmm, piqued interest though.

I've never heard of it, either. You should e-mail SaraRhiannon of http://www.sararhiannon.com . Her knowledge of such things is encyclopedic. If anyone would know, it would be her.

I have this demo, but I don't think it's Stevie. I think I downloaded it awhile ago from this site:

The Changing Times of Stevie Nicks (http://www.bellaillume.com)

It looked like something new to me, but after listening to it I don't think it has anything to do with Stevie.

Not even close to encyclopedic, but thanks Nancy :)

It's not a Stevie demo-- it's from the pre-BN years of Fleetwood Mac, and was released on "The Vaudeville Years of Fleetwood Mac" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005UK0G/qid=1119810258/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0136514-3972128?v=glance&s=music) Hopefully that link will work-- otherwise, do a search for it on amazon.com and you can hear a sound clip of the song there.

Right on SaraRhiannon! Thank you so much. I didn't think this sounded like anything Stevie had done but "Stephanie" had be part of Buckingham Nicks so I figured anything was possible. I'm finding that I love a lot of the softer stuff that the early Fleetwood Mac had done. Maybe it's time for me to check more of it out. :)

Thanks for all your help, everyone. :)
