OMG- I found this so funny - big fat oops moment :p

---------------

NEW YORK (AP) _ It was a P-R stunt gone bad. An attempt to erect
the world's largest popsicle in Union Square in Manhattan ended
like a scene from disaster film, but much stickier.
The 25-foot-tall popsicle treat of frozen Snapple quickly melted
in the midday sun yesterday, flooding Union Square with pink fluid
that sent pedestrians scurrying for higher ground.
Firefighters closed off several streets and used hoses to wash
away the sugary goo as the 35-thousand-pound, Kiwi-Strawberry
flavored pop gushed thousands of gallons of liquid.
The spilled slush was slippery.
Snapple had been trying to promote a new line of frozen treats
by setting a record for the world's largest popsicle. But they
called off the stunt before the two-and-a-half story popsicle could
be pulled upright by a construction crane.
Organizers weren't sure why it melted so quickly. The giant pop
was supposed to have been able to withstand the heat for some time.
It was made in Edison, New Jersey and hauled to New York by freezer
truck in the morning.
Snapple official Lauren Radcliffe says the company was unlikely
to make a second attempt to break the record, set by a 21-foot pop
in Holland in 1997.

That's awesome.

I wish someone would make the world's largest pudding pop in my backyard. And that I could nibble off it every day with it never melting, so I'd never have to go to the store when I run out of pudding pops.

That was the stupidest thought I've ever actually committed to print. Oops.
