I got to thinking after posting to the SYW thread: Does anyone have the ability to create a version of "Illume" without Lindsey's goony Speak N Spell voice? That would be a dream come true.

From the DVD Audio mixes I've heard, you can tell it's actually Stevie's voiced being messed with for the voices

It never occured to me that it could be Lindsey. It's totally Stevie.

Hmmm.... so it's Stevie, huh? Well, I still think it's corny... :distress:

Does anyone have the ability to create a version of "Illume" without Lindsey's goony Speak N Spell voice?I gave it a shot, though I'm not sure how successful I was!
The way it's structured, it's not an easy song to edit. But I did my best. :)

I've always been a fan of the so-called 'snake voice', but I like a good JohnnyStew Mix so I gave this a listen.
Nice work! I like the original best but this should make a lot of ppl happy

I prefer the original, too, and there's something not quite right about this edit... but I'm not sure how I could have done it any better. Like you said though, hopefully it'll make some people happy.
Did you get the version of "Tusk" I made, when it was up on Nancy's site? Not that I did much to it, but I like how that one came out. :)

Yup - I actually play that quite a bit. It's double the tusk for the same price!

i'm DLing JS's mix now, eagerly waiting on dial-up...
i always thought that it was stevie snarling the lyrics, but i also thought that that was 100% LB's idea.
i never hear it though, i'm singing louder than she is ;)
