I am fascinated by the things I associate with Stevie lately. First, it was the boots, now I am in love with all the beautiful jewelry she has worn. Currently, I'm looking for a great pic of her wearing the triangle and crescent moon necklaces together. Anyone got some good ones?

What are your favorite Stevie pieces?

oh yeah, another thing, I'm trying to find the end all, be all of Stevie photo galleries. What is regarded as the most inclusive Stevie photo site?

Of course I love the cresent moon the most. So, I bought one for myself

I have both too that I had a jeweler make for me about 5 years ago and I never take the pyramid off, but occasionally wear the cresecent moon too.

I could kick myself in the ass for this one, but...right after the Dance I got in touch with the guy that made Stevie's original moon necklace and asked him to design one for me, which he did. He couldn't remember exactly how he made it so I sent a picture and what he sent me back was a very very small version that didn't really look like hers. I ended up trading it for something else and now wish I hadn't, just for the sole fact of having something he made. UGH

I have both too but usually only wear the moon. I am sort of leary of taking it off.....I feel like I am prone to bad luck when I do. Weird...I know.

BTW...with regards to Stevie's moon.
Anyone else besides me, curious as to why it disappeared for so many years? She stopped wearing it around Wild Heart and I don't think she EVER (at least not in photos or onstage) wore it again until the SYW tour. I usually think Stevie does things for a reason......writes things, says things, wears things...perhaps I read too much into the significance of the moon but why such a long time without wearing it?
For anyone who might say there is NO significance with the necklace...note the fact that she has hardly ever taken it off since it reappeared. She has worn it at virtually EVER single show she has done..including Vegas..where I sort of expected something more glitzy. I have no clue of its meaning to Stevie (with the exception of all the sun and moon references in her songs...obviously she is the "moon" or sister thereof) but I do think the necklace is symbolic of something important to her.

I have an Angel charm that I feel like that if I don't wear it I will have bad luck.

Stevie's moon charm. I don't know the meaning behind it but maybe it might have something to do with female cycles. There is a Wiccan significance of the three phase of the moon and how they relate to a female's life. Maiden. Mother, Crone. Maybe since she is in her crone stage she is identifying again with the moon.
Please remember that a crone is not a bad thing and in Wicca I believe that a woman enters that stage around her mid 50s. I am not assuming that Stevie is Wiccan, either, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I think my alltime favorite Stevie piece is the bracelet cuff thing she wore around the Rumours time period. There's a black and white live photo fo her belting out Rhiannon (with Lindsey rocking out on guitar in the background in his white suit) and she's got it on...her hands are on the mic so you can see it really well. I'd post the pic but I don't know where it is at the moment.

Merf, our other friend Meredith and I each have one that's slightly different (the chain hooks into a slot in the back and not on top). I believe Kelly has one from her as well. Mine came with a chain and I rarely take it off. I love it

The woman does a really beautiful job in creating a replica--it's signed on the back as well. The person who actually creates the moon necklaces for Stevie; Henri David, is based out of Philadelphia on Pine St. and owns a store called Halloween. I've never been in to check it out but I wonder if you can purchase the moon necklace through him or if they're exclusively made for her.

The hidden bail means that there is a loop in the back of the pendant for a chain to slide through and the bail on top lets you wear it in any direction any time you feel the mood hit.

:)

In one of Alicia's smiling Stevie photos from a recent show, Stevie's wearing her moon the opposite direction of when she was younger. I looks to signify the stages of the moon and feminine cycle of life...it's interesting to say the least and I'm glad to see her wear it again. I love the simplicity of it.

Which way did you want the points to face? When you look down at yourself wearing the pendant, did you want the points to the right or left? That's the best way to make sure!

my pendant points to my left. I think Stevie's most frequently points this way, but I've seen it alternate, which is interesting.

I wanted it to face like Stevie, so I told the lady to make it like the pictures. In the pictures I sent, Stevie's (on her body) points point to her right. I just hope it is right. The pictures could be reversed. I stressed over it, and since the pictures were all I had to go by, I went by them. :distress:

[Like my name- I know a little about the moon
Depending on which phase you want to choose:

If the tips on the moon cresent are pointing to the right, that depicts the last quarter.
If they are pointing to the left, it depicts the first quarter. The First quarter moon has more energy building towards a full moon-
The last quarter shows the moon losing energy and going towards it's New phase (When you cannot see the moon) .
I am not sure about Stevie's choice but depending on why and for what reason you are wearing a cresent amulet, should determine your choice on which way to wear it...
Hence, the decision to have the bail on the top allows you to place it whichever way you choose on the chain----
Hope this helps....

Thanks Jaz....

I was hoping to reach everyone with that explanation before they spent a lot of money and realized it wasn't "pointing" the way they wanted it to.

Personally, I am very much into the moon and I have a collection of about 20 gold moons in different phases, sizes and descriptions-pendants, pins, earings, etc.
I also have maybe 10 in silver that again, are different aspects, some incude a star with the tip of the cresent, I have faces of moons and plain full moons, and cresents.

I have one really beautiful cresent that I had made that is abount 2inches long, 14kgold, tips point to the left, and it has slight outline of her face, so I had a beautiful diamond placed for her eye. (Think that one is my favorite)and the one my husband gave me for our anniversary tops the list too! geessh...lots of moons, but I am always looking for more... :o

I also collect witch "stuff", brooms, figures, sculptures, glass catchers, welcome signs with pictures of the witch, her broom and cat. Everything from an Anna Lee Doll of a witch (with a magic wand, it'sreally cute)... to a fabulous crystal ball I found in my travels

Anyway, enough about my obsessions....
Does anyone else collect things- And I don't mean Stevie stuff, I mean other stuff-Interests??
I'm always curious~~

Thanks for the explaination. The bail is on the back top, and the lady asked me which way I wanted it to face. Therefore, I picked for the points to face to my right, because every pic I have seen of Stevie except for one were facing that way. I'm just glad to know it is okay to wear it either way. Thanks for the help. :xoxo:

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you know, that the custom crescent moon & pyramid pendants I commisioned a jeweler to create for my store have arrived, and they are awesome! They are available in Sterling Silver, and come with a Sterling Silver box chain, as well.

I have been looking for many years for these, and while the pyramid was not as difficult to find or create, the correct shape and style crescent moon evaded me...so finally, I decided to hire a jeweler, send her photos and drawings of Stevie's own necklaces, so the moon would be close to perfect, not too "thin", not too "wide".

I hope that you will take a moment, if you are looking for Stevie style items (I also have custom top hats, tambourines, chiffon dresses/skirts, platform boots, out of print songbooks, wigs, shawls, and so much more!) you will visit my shoppe:

BTW...with regards to Stevie's moon.
Anyone else besides me, curious as to why it disappeared for so many years? She stopped wearing it around Wild Heart and I don't think she EVER (at least not in photos or onstage) wore it again until the SYW tour.

She probably just wanted to wear some different things that she also loved and thought were pretty. Seems like she had certain things she always wore back then - same kind of outfits, shawls, jewelry. Then around Wild Heart tours I saw her wearing heart necklaces and some other gold chain a lot. Probably gifts from someone close to her, or she bought them and just loved them. And she probably didn't like the Mr. T look - wearing a ton of necklaces at the same time, so probably just put the moon aside for a while because of having new things she loved too. By RAL, she seemed to start wearing some different types of 80's style clothes and jewelry.

She has mentioned a few times going and looking back at old stuff - old pics, video, etc. and so maybe she missed her moon necklace and pulled it back out or had a new one made. Who knows. We never see new pics of Lori or Sharon wearing theirs either. But maybe they still do sometimes...??
I'm glad she is wearing it again. I love it too. But I have had pendants that I used to wear and never take off, for years. Then somewhere along the line I'd aquire something new and precious to me and wear that for a long time. Then get into times where I'd change and wear a different necklace every day, depending on my outfit and mood. Then go back into wearing just one certain chain and pendant for a few years again. I think that just happens with women sometimes. Anyone else done the same thing?

i also noticed during this yr's rock -n- roll hall of fame induction that chrissie hynde was wearing one, stevie musta gave her one before the induction~ cool, yes!!!~

Chrissie Hynde has a beautiful song called "Hymn To Her" that is a very goddessy song....even mentions the maiden, mother, and crone in it. It's a great song.

The person who actually creates the moon necklaces for Stevie; Henri David, is based out of Philadelphia on Pine St. and owns a store called Halloween. I've never been in to check it out but I wonder if you can purchase the moon necklace through him or if they're exclusively made for her.

Hoe cool would this be:

Henri David’s Annual Halloween Costume Ball This is it, THE party that all the others mustmeasure up against. Sure, it’s been around as long as the holiday itself, but David, whose Halloween jewelry store(1329 Pine St., where tix can be purchased, 215-732-7711) is a fabulous haunt for all things mystical, knows how to pacethe mystery behind his parties. He never tells you who the "Surprise Mystery Guest" is, so don’t ask.(Usually a celeb already in town, so you do the math). He never tells you what bizarre costume he’s going to comeout in — but you can expect it to be big, flying, dangling and sparkly like a New Year’s float.Everyone dresses up for Henri David. Be there by 10 p.m. Henri David’s Annual Costume Ball, Sun., Oct 31,Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel, 17th and Race Sts. $15 with costume, $30 without.

LOL! Thanks for that :xoxo: It should be fun telling my mom that she can except this when I'm in my fifties...hmmm should I book the hospital room now and can you report a heart attack before it happens?

~Marissa~

Tell your mom to kiss her lucky stars - you could be this obssessed and into Marilyn Manson, or some weird, negative music crap.....

How can a parent be upset over their kid loving Stevie Nicks? Alteast she's into pretty things. Not like satan or vampires or killing cops and robbing liquor stores or shooting people....right? Some of the music out there and the videos these days are just horrid.

my pendant points to my left. I think Stevie's most frequently points this way, but I've seen it alternate, which is interesting.

) When the moon is waxing, the crescent points go toward the left. The moon is in process of getting to the full moon state. This waxing moon represents the Maiden aspect of the Goddess and in young women.

O Full moon is the Mother stage.

( Then the moon begins to wane. The horns of the crescent then point to the right. The dark moon is then coming. The waning moon and dark moon represents the Crone stage.

)O(

edit: some crescent moon pendants are made reversible so you can switch what way you want it to face....

I ordered a sterling silver moon pendant from Camiasdesigns.com
I just ordered the pendant because I have a few silver chains around the house. I ordered the one with the bail on top so that I could wear it with the points facing either way.

I will post a photo of it and me wearing it when I get it!

I really shouldn't have but I lost my gold angel charm and chain so I feel as though I need something. I have seen so many fans with these beautiful pendants and I felt as if it was the right time for me to get one.

I've decided to get one myself, but I can't choose between having the bail on top or having it behind the pendant. I prefer the look of it behind, but being able to switch the necklace as Stevie has over the years is also appealing

Yeah, that is the same dilemma that I had. I figured that with the bail on the top I could kind of have 2 different pendants. I like the hidden bail, too. Maybe some day I will get one of those, too.

Aah, it's not a big deal because it is lost somewhere in my house. I just don't know where. That is what I get for being too tired to take it off correctly. I'll have to be more careful with this moon pendant. They seem like they would make great Xmas presents. ;)

I can and will, although it may take me awhile to post it--I'm technically challenged.
