Today is June 21st. One year ago to this day, In The Meantime was released. (in the U.K.) :woohoo: I'm listening to it right now as I type. It still sounds just as good to me now as it did the first time I played it! So, thanks to Christine for making a wonderful & completely unexpected album. Here's hoping this isn't the last we'll ever hear from her.

The album has grown on to me a bit, but the tracks I like the most are still "Friend" and "You Are".

Good God! One year already! It is a sign of age when the time passes more quickly.

This time last year it was all I listened to in the car. If I started the CD from track 1 as I left home I could judge whether I was going to be late for work or not by what track was playing. I needed to be parking the car to the gentle sound of Calumny. So Sincere meant I might be late but Easy Come, Easy Go - I was in trouble!

I still listen to it (although not as much) and I still love it to bits. Friend is in my Christine Top 5.

I doubt if we'll get another one though so best to make the most of it.

I don't listen to ITM much anymore, but I do still like it. My favorites are still "You Are," "Northern Star," "Forgiveness," and "Friend."

Two semesters ago I was spinning that CD a lot in my dorm room. For awhile it was my "getting ready for class" CD. I loved "Anything is Possible," "Forgiveness," and "Sweet Revenge" the most. Later on I really got into "Friend," which became one of my favorite tracks. I was playing Say You Will often at the time, too, and it was nice to put in In the Meantime because that way I still got to have my Christine even though she wasn't in Fleetwood Mac

Thanks MacFan 57, I hadn't realized a year's gone by! I still listen to ITM regularly, often the whole way through. But I admit "Forgiveness" gets more play than any other on my DVD.

I am STILL in semi-shock that this recording surfaced. It was always my dream that she'd release another solo project, but I never dreamed it would be one this good. I truly am hoping another surfaces--and this one possibly featuring just her and some piano. Maybe a standards album like Cyndi Lauper's recent effort "At Last."

That would be fantastic! Just Chris & her piano. Hopefully, she'll do something. She still has a manager, by the way. So there is at least a little hope.

In The Meantime just happened out of the blue. I remember almost 3 years ago when we first heard from Ken Caillait that she was recording an album. She had talked about doing another solo album back in the late 1980's. It took her awhile, but it was certainly worth the wait.

I totally agree. I think ITM is an excellent recording by any standard for pop music. I can't believe it did not get more attention.
