Okay, this is my first review I've ever done, so it probably won't be all that great.

I'm going to start off by saying it was an amazing time. I went with my friend Krystle, (TellMeSweetLies) and it didn't seem like she warmed up until after Edge.

We were kinda bored during Don's set :sorry: the only song that really stuck out for me was Dirty Laundry. No one really seemed all that enthused for his set either. It took them a while to open up and stand a little bit. For Hotel California people went NUTS when Stevie came out. I was screaming so loud, I got asked to stop! LOL.

I had a really bad headache during the whole show, so I don't really remember much. So, I'm going to skip to Stevie's set.

I'm not going to go through every single song since everyone else has done that. They all sounded effing amazing, and we got all the twirls and the high kick and everything during Stand Back. I almost fell over when she did that high kick. Ahhhh -dies-

I met Trinity from Mick's board. He was the one that yelled at me in the beginning for screaming too much. Then at the end he saw I was trying to take pictures so he let me come up a row so I could try and get them better. He also asked me what board I was from, and I said The Ledge and he kinda laughed. I thought that was kinda cool that I actually got asked that! LOL

So it seemed that a lot of the people that had really good seats didn't even seem to care. A lot of people were sitting and not even singing along or anything. It was kinda upsetting... There were a few people around me that really cared.

Okay, I'm just skipping to Edge. After Beauty we were so ready to sprint up there. And when it ended, no one moved. I was so confused. So, since Krystle didn't want to walk first, I was like eff this and I started walking up, and security didn't stop me. Okay, good. WE got right to the stage and then a few more people started to come. By the way you guys talked about it, I thought EVERYONE litterally RAN to that stage. She started on the other side from where me and my friend were and we were screaming like little girls becuase we were so excited. I couldn't believe my eyes when she was infront of me. I was seriously about to pissmyself. She grabbed Krystle's hands and looked right at her, but she didn't even make eye contact with me, so that made me sad. But I did get to touch her. She really does have teeny hands! After that, I was high as a kite. Krystle and I were going nuts. We couldn't believe it. I didn't get any pictures becuase I was too hyper and I just wanted to touch her hand. I'm going to Summerfest so hopefully I will get some eye contact there.

At the end, they had enough time to do So You Wanna Be a Rock and Roll Star. I really enjoyed it, even though I've only heard that song once.

OKay, well sorry my review was so crappy. Everything in my brain is scattered around right now! I might post more if I remember. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment about security. Those guards were so effing dumb. The first time I got yelled at it was becuase I had a camera and I wasn't allowed to have cameras. The next time the guy said "If you're going to take pictures, don't use the flash" (I didn't even know I had it on) and then the last time was when I went up for Edge. The guy told me not to take pictures. OKay, I didn't really listen to anyone except the guy that said no flash. That didn't really bug me though. I took like 55 pictures and only got yelled at twice! Not bad! :)

By the way you guys talked about it, I thought EVERYONE litterally RAN to that stage.

On normal solo tours thats how it usually is, people rush to the stage, it's like a mad rush of people...but with this short tour with Don it's been like a kind awkward pause after Beauty and the Beast, probably because a lot of fans are Don fans...so we had the same problem..when the drum solo started, no1 was moving..I was like UGHH...so we went to walk up, except in Atlanta they stopped us...and yada yada we finally got up there.
At regular Stevie shows it's well known to security and everyone what is going to happen

Hahaha - same thing in Pitts - we were like, OK, should we go up now? Wait, now? How about now? Worked out better for us, we were the first ones to the stage. But still weird to not have the first 40 rows trying to run up front.

I'm confused about this. Why did you think the guards were dumb? Seems to me like they were just doing their job. What else are they supposed to do if the artists don't want pictures taken?

THe Edge part of your story is very interesting. I remember in Vegas the first night, especially with the steps in front of the stage, I dont think most people thought she was going to come down there for sure. But I took a chance and got my butt up there, and everyone was suprised when she actually came down on the first step and went across. Got to shake her hand twice that night. mmmmmm Vegas sure was a blast for anyone who was there, as I'm sure this tour is as well

It was totally easy to get up to the stage Tue night in Vegas but on Wed it was a different story. Everyone wanted to be up there.

Becuase each one of them told me something different. I took 50 or so pictures and only got yelled at 3 times. If they really cared, they would have been more hardass. I know they knew I was taking pictures, everytime I went to do it a red light went off.

Oh, so they were dumb because they didn't catch you? Well, here's hoping next time they're smarter..

Just curious. No one was enthused for Don? The entire audience was bored? Wow. That must be a first..

I'm done with reviews.

No, you did well, I'm not sure I'd be ever able to write one after a concert, thanks a lot for the review! :)

Hey Jessica,

So glad you had fun! Just out of curiosity, what tickets did you finally end up with? Actually, I'll check my PM's because for all I know, you've written to me. Anyway, glad you and Krystle got to touch Stevie! :o

We had 6th row and it was section 102. It wasn't center, but it was the one next to center! I got them off eBay two days before the show for only $82! A lot cheaper than what they were! :)

I apologize. Your review was fine. I'm just tired of the Don vs. Stevie hate. If you didn't mean it that way, I'm sorry. There's been a lot of it going on here since these shows started and unfortunately and unfairly, you were the one I jumped on. I'm much, much, much more of a fan of Stevie's too, but the constant rantings of Don not smiling, Don doesn't like to get his pic taken, Don's idea to have barricades up, no one is enthused for Don, etc., just grate. Nothing personal. I thought your review was fine, so don't be done with them, ok? :D

As for the security being dumb, I just go with it, take pics and maybe, just maybe they're not total a**holes about it? Win-win situation and glad you had fun. Again, sorry. :sorry:

great review. I went to atlanta and did not go to the stage. Now I am going to atlantic city, Row 3 and I am so stressed about being sure to get up there. Please tell me what cue you used to leave your seat--end of BATB??

I finally got the courage to leave when Edge started. I didn't even wait for anyone else. I was like "I want to get to the damn stage, I'm leaving!" and then I started seeing people follow. So yeah, whenever Beauty and the Beast is over just start heading up! :)

It's okay. It's not that I don't like Don, I just like Stevie a lot more. There were people standing for him and going nuts, though. There was just more for Stevie. Don't get me wrong, when he had to leave, people were screaming and everything. I did enjoy some of his songs. Sorry if I made it seem like he was boring. I didn't mean it like that.

Thanks for you review. I was there last night too. I was in the 8th row. Security only allowed the first five rows to rush the stage. A group of us just stood there, from B&B onward, hoping that they would open the gates. It has been a while since I shook hands with Stevie. I went to an Atlantic City show right after 9-11. Security was so tight then, understandably. Hopefully this year in AC will be different. I posted my review under another post, deceptively named "On my way to Chicago with an Extra Ticket." I did complain about Don a bit. I apologize if this is annoying. I think for many fans, going to a Stevie concert is an obsession...everything has to be just right.... Don is an amazing songwriter and it was sure great to hear him sing EoI. Many years ago, I was at Jones Beach and I saw Bruce Hornsby who I think wrote the song. He played bits and pieces of it over and over and over again. It was comical.
