Hey gang!
I recently had my back hair laser removed...they are about to do the stretch marks (I have lost enough weight I can finally attempt to get rid of them). Anyone have any experiences with laser hair removal or stretch mark removal. My back, btw, is fabulous now...so smooth!

Wow. Not me. How does that stretch mark thing work ? I have a friend who did the gastric bypass thing and probably could use that.

Isn't Strivectin the miracle stretch mark removal cream? People started using it around their eyes, so they have since developed an eye cream. They sell a knock-off version at Walgreen's. I haven't tried it myself, anyone?? Right now, I'm all about the Kiehl's abyssine eye cream....
BTW, congrats on your weight (and back hair) loss!

I had laser hair removal about five years ago. It was expensive but worth it. The hair didn't grown back. It hurt like a mother but it would only hurt for a second.
So you had your back done? Did they use numbing cream?

Is this weird or what? I was just thinking about getting some done myself on my face, but not sure if that works on such a sensitive area. Thanks for the thread.

I think they can. They have various lasers for different parts of the body. Just make sure that whoever does the procedure has done it many, many times. At one of my last treatments, the nurse who did such an awesome job was no longer there and no one informed me. I got a nurse who hadn't done the procedure very much and she burned me with the laser.

Yep I use a knock-off version of Strivectin. My wrinkles are still there, but they are much less noticeable and my skin is a lot smoother than it was. I use both the face cream and the eye cream twice a day. While I don't look 25, I do look younger than I did a couple of months ago.

See, that's what i'd be afraid of--especially on my face. I'm the queen of waxing but if I didn't work where I do, it would cost me a lot of money to have things done all of the time. I've considered it before but it takes several treatments, yes? As far as being painful, how bad is it?

Yes, it usually takes more than one treatment. It feels like someone is poking you just for a 1/2 second with a pin.

But then once in a while it hurts a lot, for a sec.

I had my back done and it feels so smooth! They say I wll have to go back for another treatment. It hurt alot more than I expected, but only for a second at a time so it was bareable. They used some sort of cream, whether or not it was numbing cream, I couldn't tell you...I dont see a difference with the stretch marks yet, but we have to give it a while.
