Hey everyone! My husband and I are going to see Stevie the Blossom Music Center on the 25th and from the directions it seems that it is closer to Akron? Is that right? Does anybody know of any hotels close to the ampitheatre that arent too expensive? We want to stay the night but dont want to drive too far back to our hotel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I do not know about hotels, but yes...it is much closer to Akron than it is to Cleveland. The specific town is Cuyahoga Falls, which is just outside of Akron.

There are hotels right in Cuyahoga Falls. I know of a Fairfield that is close to the venue.

Cool, thank you both so much. Hey Josh are you going to the Blossom show?

Cuyahoga Falls is technically a suburb but it has a nice, compact and rather bustling downtown with lots of restaurants and a beautiful boardwalk along the Cuyahoga River where you can see the falls... So I'd stay downtown if you can.

Wow thanks so much for the info. I definitley want to stay in Cuyahoga Falls. Do you know of any specific hotels located in that area? Also do you know if it is possible to get a taxi or some sort of transportation to the show? I bought a parking pass but my husband and I want to have some drinks and not worry about driving.

Hey, not sure what your budget is but I've stayed at the Sheraton Suites before (for a wedding) -- very nice place, and you can walk to lots of stuff. I think it runs about $125/night for a couple. http://www.sheratonakron.com/
Not sure what other hotels are downtown.
Or, if you guys are a bit crunchier ;), you could stay at the Stanford House, a lodge that is located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (about 5 mins from Blossom). It's mostly a hostel but they have some private rooms, and it's a gorgeous old house in the woods in the country. It's right outside the town of Peninsula, one of the prettiest in Ohio. http://www.nps.gov/cuva/friends/stanford.htm

Oh -- and I'm sure you could get a taxi from Cuyahoga Falls to Blossom. I don't know how much it would cost, but it's a quick drive, so probably not outrageous. :)

I'm still contemplating :-\

I'm def going to Cincy, and Cleveland is doable, but I really want to save some money this summer since I'll be spending the fall semester in France. And plus the Cleveland show is the same night as Columbus Pride, so there will be lots of things going on here that I'll want to attend.

Blinker12, Thanks so much for the info about the hotels. I will check those out for sure.

Josh, I hope you make it to the show I can understand about trying to save cash. I just wish the Stevie shows cost less money so that I could go to more than one. Of course I should feel lucky that I got to see FM 3 times on the Say You Will Tour.

Laurarox, I remember the first time I took my husband to see a Stevie show. I dont think he has even seen me so excited in my life. HA HA. He had a good time and when he first saw FM in 2003 he loved it. He took my CD and listened to Say Goodbye for days on end. It definitley is an experience though.
