Since I never sleep  , I've spent my early morning hours making up some questions about love and relationships I thought would be fun to post. I'm too tired now to answer my own, but I'd love to see what everyone else has to say. Have fun.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?
2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?
3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?
4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?
5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?
6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?
7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?
8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?
9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
10) Would you ever marry for money?
11) Would you die for the person you love?
12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?
13) How many times have you been in love?
14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?
15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?
16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?
17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?
18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?
19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?
20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really, maybe lust at first sight.
2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? One year of passion.
3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? Funny, honest, intelligent- my husband is all of these things, fortunately.
4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? Loved and lost, absolutely. Playing it safe means you never take chances.
5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? 6, I guess. Quality, not frequency.
6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Nope.
7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? Married, no way. In a relationship, maybe. But I'm not the kind to "go for it" in situations like that, so I'd probably lose out.
8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? Hm. I'd probably go for it and try to give him the best 6 months I could.
9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth. 1. Trust 2. Communication 3. Sex 4. Wealth
10) Would you ever marry for money? Not marry, no. But looking back, maybe I would have dated some guys with money just to see what it felt like.
11) Would you die for the person you love? I don't know that I'd die for my husband, but I would for my step-son.
12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? 100% faithful.
13) How many times have you been in love? Two times.
14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I have no idea, but I believe it can be several. Some people are much more capable of feeling love than others.
15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Yes.
16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Honesty and trust.
17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Lying (see a theme here?.
18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? I don't know that it's necessary, but I do think it's imporant to let the other person know how you feel, frequently. It's nice to feel loved.
19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? I used to believe in soul mates, now I'm not so sure. I think that there is a major "plan" and that we are destined to have certain people in our lives for different reasons.
20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? I don't really believe in soulmates, so I can't answer this one.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

my friend shelia was dating a guy mike for 7 yrs and they got engaged and had a big wedding. the night of the honeymoon mike told shelia he couldnt do this and didnt want to be married. she was heartbroken and the marriage got annulled. all the guest felt bad for her so they let her keep the gifts and she bought a new car.

anyway a couple yrs pass and shelia meets james. they fall in love and he treats her great. a couple months pass and he ends up getting really sick. turns out he has cancer all through his body. shelia sticks by him and helps take care of him while he is sick. they end up getting married in central park in new york. the drs give him three weeks to live. he was in bad pain and a hospice nurse stayed at the house with him and shelia. one morning he wouldnt wake up and shelia was so scared. his blood pressure was low. the hospice nurse said this was the first stages of dying. his family and friends came to the house to sit by his bedside. the next morning at 4:30 am he woke up for two hours and told shelia how much he loved her and how he is sorry he wasn't awake for the "party." he ended up dying that afternoon..which was tuesday of this week. shelia loves him very much and wouldn't trade the yr she had with him for nothing.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? not at all

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? neither

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? understanding, kind, honest but considerate and tactful with words at the same time, open-minded, knows herself well...I don't really think I've found this person. Either that or she was taken.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? I think it's better to have loved and lost than to hav never experienced it on any level because of fear.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? I don't know--5? Less than 5? Maybe I'll change my mind later. The quality is more important than the quantity in my opinion.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Hundreds.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? I can see myself waiting around hoping that the person will eventually come to me, and I would probably let that person know the extent of my feelings, but I wouldn't ruin my life over it and rule out possibilities of other relationships

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? This is tough for me, maybe more so than for others. Danielle's story there is inspiring, but it's one of those things in life I imagine I would not be able to handle. I've also seen from past experiences that it takes me at least a year to decide I'm truly in love with someone, so at that point, the person destiny dealt to me may have already passed.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth. 1 Trust, 2 Communication, 3 Wealth, 4 Sex

10) Would you ever marry for money? no

11) Would you die for the person you love? I just haven't gotten far enough in life to make a decision about this one. Plus, I never have actually been in a real relationship.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? I am extremely loyal.

13) How many times have you been in love? once

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I'm not sure, but certainly more than once.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? I suppose it's possible.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? It's a tie between trust and affection.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Lying about significant things and hiding things really bothers me.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? Not on a daily basis necesarily but very often.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? I believe that we all have several soulmates.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? I can't say how many we have, and I don't believe I've found mine, but I feel confident enough that I will.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?

Newp. How can you be in love with someone you don't know? What if they are a murderer, rapist, dog hater?!

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?

Well, since most people I know are in decent relationships with little passion...LOL Sesly though, this is a toughie. That year would be AMAZING, and you'd have those memories for a lifetime. Those 50 years would be good, but there might not be any great memories. I'd go with the year, I guess.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?

Wow. My ideal mate would be someone I could trust. I would be able to tell him anything and know he wouldn't share it with anyone else. Trust is a very sensitive issue with me. Kind, generous, sweet, smart....all important qualities. He would be a great listener, love to travel and of course, love music. If he doesn't like FM, Lindsey, Keith...etc...he most certainly will learn to.

I knew someone who I was thisclose to telling how I felt about them, but they are now married to their "soulmate". I thought he was the most awesome person I'd ever met.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?

I've never been in love, so I wouldn't know. I have lost people I've loved, to death (my grandfathers, my uncle and my dog, Candy.), and I would never wish I had never gotten to know and love them. They were important in my life and I would never wanna change that.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?

I'm a virgin, so I can't answer that. LOL!!

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?

Yes, for a friend I really cared about.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

Move on. NOBODY is worth the heartache to that family, especially if they have children. If he's in a relationship, don't worry about it, if it truly is destiny, they'll break up and you'll be together forever. ;)

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

GO FOR IT! You'll remember those 6 months for the rest of your life. Pain is part of life...loss is part of life. We all have to go sometime. Anyway, the doctors told my uncle he had a few months to live....that was about 4 years ago and he's still here, so whatevah.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.

1. Trust
2. Communication (Without communication, the sex will suffer)
3. Sex (I can imagine it would be awesome with someone I truly love.)
4. Wealth

10) Would you ever marry for money?

No way.

11) Would you die for the person you love?

Of course. That's the ultimate sacrifice.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?

If I had someone, I would most def be faithful.

13) How many times have you been in love?

Zero.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?

You can love as many people as you want. That whole "soulmate" thing is a crock. There are a bazillion people in the world, you think only ONE is compatible with you? You are mistaken.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?

Sure. It's possible and probable...check my answer to #14. You have to make choices in life...it's tough and sucks sometimes, but that's life.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?

Faithfulness. I would not stay with a cheater.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?

Cheating. Of course, if someone beat me up, I would kick their a$$ back if I could and leave. LOL My aunt has stayed with a dumba$$ abusive husband for over 20 years and that's INSANE. You lay one finger on me and I'll try to snap it off. I know how to use a gun, beyotch. LOL

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?

No. You can show people you love them by doing various things. I'm not a lovey-dovey-huggy-mushy person. I do tell people I love them, just not every day. They know.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

I believe in destiny, but not soulmates.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

Obviously, I am not on the soulmate train. LOL I have not found the love of my life yet. I'm not sure if I ever will and I'm not even sure I'm meant to be with anyone...ever.

Gosh, i'm uncharacteristically optimistic today

Do you believe in love at first sight? I think it's possible...in this life, anything is possible.

If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? Absolutely 1 year.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? 6.

Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? More for myself than someone else.

Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? You move on. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? Go for it.

Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth. Trust, Communication, Sex, Wealth.

Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? Faithful.

How many times have you been in love? Smitten? Many. Love? Zero.

How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I think it depends on the person.

Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Not really sure.

What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Trust.

What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Cheating.

Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? Not necessarily daily but I think it's good to remind someone.

Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? Call me a hopeless romantic but I think there's a reason you meet certain people. I think it's a bit of destiny mixed with good timing.

How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? Again, depends on the person. Not sure but I think I will If I haven't already encountered him at some point.

Random.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

I think soul mate is a strange and potentially damaging phrase. Having said that...it depends on the person and the life they live how many potential partners they can have. I've had a few that could make for a steamy and entertaining box set of miniseries. I suspect there are a few more corkers where they came from....:woohoo:

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? I would choose 1 year of being in love with the person I always wanted.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?
He is tall, has blonde hair (ok, he use to), very intelligent, funny, kind, loving, generous, thoughtful, hard worker, good father, good provider, lover, ect.....I married him :xoxo:

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? Probably a 5. Quality is more important. When you get older, it won't matter that much :xoxo:

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Yes.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? I could never, never ruin someone's relationship or marriage. I would definitely move on and find someone for myself.

Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? I would want to spend 6 months with someone that I truely loved and cared for.

2. Trust
3. Sex

I think a friend/parent/child can be a soulmate. When it comes to lovers/spouses I really don't think it happens that much. I need someone that agrees with me on important issues like how we raise our children or want similar goals as a family but if he thought like me and agreed with me all the time, I would be totally bored with him. Who wants to marry someone like themselves  I have been married for almost 26 yrs and I am glad I married someone totally different from me but always put me first in his life and vice versa :)

Okay, I'll jump in on this one....

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?

I'm a hopeless romantic, so I have to say yes

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?

Well, I'm pretty much right in the middle of option 2. We've been together for 22 years, married for 17. Started out as friends, and we have a great relationship, but he's not the most romantic/passionate person in the world. Sometimes I do feel sorry for myself that there's not more romance in my life, but we still have a pretty good marriage.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?

Blonde, blue eyes, funny, kind, loves kids, romantic (see a trend here? :o )

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?

The first one.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?

Oh gees... for me, I'd say 4. My husband would definitely say 10. I go for quality; he goes for frequency.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?

No. I'm not that creative. :(

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

Proceed with caution, because chances are you'll be the one to get hurt..

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

go for it

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.

Trust, Communication, Wealth, Trust

10) Would you ever marry for money?

No.

11) Would you die for the person you love?

Before I became a mom, I'd have said yes. Now I'd say I'd only die for my daughter. She needs me too much to say I'd die for my husband.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?

Very faithful

13) How many times have you been in love?

two

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?

Don't know.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?

Yes.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?

Trust

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?

Lying

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?

Yes. Even though he's not romantic, this is how we end every single day. :)

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

I do believe in soul mates and destiny.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

Probably more than one. Yes, I found mine, even if he is a jackass sometimes!

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?
Hmm. I believe you can be smitten with someone "at first sight." Certainly in lust "at first sight." But for me, at least, love only comes once a solid foundation is built.

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?
I'd most definitely choose just one year of being with my ideal mate, over 50 years of "second best."
I've spent large spans of my adult life, single. I can do it and do it well... it's not a problem. So I see no reason to settle.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?
Oh, gosh. Intelligent, down-to-Earth, funny, even-tempered, generous, discerning, faithful, moralled, healthy sex-drive(!), attractive, passionate, creative.... and so much more.
And, yes, I have. :D

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?
It's most definitely "better to have loved and lost." Anything worth having, is worth the risk of being hurt.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?
That's a really tough question to answer. I have an, I'm told, very high sex drive (must be the Italian in me  )... yet, if I found someone who matched every other aspect I was looking for in a perfect mate, but was, say, impotent... well, there are always other things two people can do sexually (or that one person can do). :o
So I guess I'll rate it a 6 on the scale of importance, with quality certainly being more important than quantity.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?
Oh, yes.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?
I'm majorly against infidelity. Not as a judgement on other people and their relationships, just as something I won't do or tolerate in my own relationships.
So I'd move on.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?
I'd go for it. Without a doubt.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
Trust, Communication, Sex, Wealth.

10) Would you ever marry for money?
No way.

11) Would you die for the person you love?
Of course.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?
I'm faithful to a fault. But I see that as a good thing.

13) How many times have you been in love?
I'd say I've been in "truly, madly, deeply, wanna spend the rest of my life with this guy"-love, three times. Including my current relationship.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?
I think we have the capacity to be in love many times.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?
Possible, certainly. But the probability depends on one's personality. Some people can be in love with more than one person at a time, others can only be in love with one person.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?
Trust.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?
Infidelity. Cheat on me, and you're out the door, bub... no "ifs," "ands" or "buts."

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?
No. The words are nice to hear, but they aren't important... actions are. Show me you love me by treating me the way I deserve to be treated... that's all I need.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?
I most definitely believe in destiny and in soulmates. My faith in that has been tested a couple of times, but it comes back again.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?
I used to believe that we had one soulmate, and that was that. But experience has shown me that that's simply not true.
"So long ago, I was an innocent... it had nothing to do with age."

Interesting poll!

I love reading these! There are some really nice people on this board. I'll answer them now (I'm not so nice).

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? I didn't use to, but I met someone who I haven't been able to stop thinking about since. I never had the nerve to tell him what I was feeling and at the time, I was with someone else. Now, he's with someone else but I always wonder if I fell in love with him?
2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? The 1 year. I can't stand being alone, but the idea of the 1 indescribable year wins out.
3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? Someone who is gentle, manly but not afraid to cry and show his feminine side, funny but not a comedian all the time, serious when it's the right time, a good communicator, not judgmental, a good lover (or at least can satisfy me because I'm a walking nerve-ending  ), drug-free, likes FM and metal and will go to concerts with me not only willingly but with bells on, someone who has his own life and will let me have mine but when we get together, it's fireworks. I haven't found him and I'm not sure I've ever been close.
4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? Loved and lost
5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? 9 1/2  I'm shallow and like a guy in that way. Quality over frequency, but both.
6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Not yet, but someday.. I'm not a good writer.
7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? Married? Probably not. In a relationship? Maybe. Would depend on how serious his relationship was.
Sex. Trust. Wealth. 1) Communication 2) Trust 3) Sex 4) Wealth
10) Would you ever marry for money? I doubt it but if we had other things that made it good, maybe.
11) Would you die for the person you love? Yes
12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? I've cheated, but there were circumstances.. I want to think I could be faithful. I'm not sure.
13) How many times have you been in love? Once
14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? Different degrees of love, maybe several.
15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Yes
16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Communication
17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Physical or emotional abuse
18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? No, and it's annoying. If it's said too much, it loses meaning.
19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? I'm not sure and I still question that. Seems like luck of the draw, but I love the idea of soul mates.
20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? If there is such a thing, one. No, haven't found mine. Doubt I will, but can always hope. :xoxo:

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Even if it's extremely rare I think it exists

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? One Year. To compromise on feelings it's like to renounce to live, IMO.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?
Intelligent, witty, self-ironic, down to earth, kind with other people, with a lot of interests, respectful, good father, passionate, sensitive, loyal, able to act according to his principles. Have I found him? I hope so.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? Better to have loved and lost

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?
I'd say 7, the frequency is linked to many aspects, quality is more important

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?
I wrote something else... yes.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?
I would immediately move on.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?
I'd go for it.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
Communication, Trust, Sex, Wealth.

10) Would you ever marry for money?
No.

I think we love at the same many things in many people consciously or inconsciously. It's possible to love two people at the same time, but who can't take a decision, usually is just blocked by fear of egoism, IMO.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?
Honesty in the feelings

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?
Forget respect towards himself, me, or others he loves

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?

No. Lust? Sure. Love? Hell no.

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?

1 year in love. I don't want a relationship without passion. It has to have spark.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?

Funny, trustworthy, creative, strong, loves music and cats. Never found anyone like it yet.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?

“it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?

7, but like.. the feeling of love has to be mutual, you know?

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?

Yeah, I have. But they were more for me than anyone else.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

I'd go for it. If the feeling of true love is mutual, I don't want to let it slip away, you know?

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

I'd stay for the 6 months. I'd rather have memories to cherish than regret passing them up.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.

1) Trust
2) Communication
3) Sex

10) Would you ever marry for money?

**** no.

I've been like.. smitten, or attracted to someone, but I've never been in love. It hasn't happened yet.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

There's only one perfect person out there for everyone. You just gotta luck out and find them. I don't know if I'll ever find mine. I guess it will happen. I just want to find a nice boy who plays bass and I'll be happy. ^_^

1) Do you believe in love at first sight?
Almost.

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?
One year.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?
Yes. His name is Chris. Describe? Well, he was just generally one of those perfect people. I didn't see one thing I didn't like about him, ever.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?
Loved and lost. I think it's pretty ridiculous to think that anyone has ever been able to "play it safe". How can you avoid loving someone?

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?
10. Frequency is quality!!!

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?
Oh, hell no!!! Gack! Clearly, I never will, either.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?
I move on and wait for the divorce. ;)

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?
Well, I might as well date them, cause according you your question I have already met them, so I would be sad anyway if they died. I'd just like to say that your version of destiny is really a pain in the ass!

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
1.Sex 2.Trust 3.Communication 4.Wealth

10) Would you ever marry for money?
I guess not. *sigh*. It sure would be awesome, though!

11) Would you die for the person you love?
I don't really know.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?
Well...faithful, I guess. I've strayed once, but it wasn't the best plan ever.

13) How many times have you been in love?
4

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?
Many.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?
I think it's possible for some people, but for myself, I will always like one better. Even if I love both of them.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?
Sex

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?
mmm. Cheating? Excessive flirting while I am in the room?

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?
It may not be necessary totally, but I think it's a really good idea. I like it.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?
Random, in the sense that anyone can be destined for you, depending on what you need to learn or what you want at that time.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?
I'm not really sure. It seems like you could have many soul mates, but that they might be friends, or whatever. And what does soul mate mean? I felt I found mine, but we're not together, so does that mean we weren't really soul mates? Anyway, that question is pretty complex.
I'm sure I'll find someone I really like who's really perfect with me. Maybe.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? No. Love is blind!

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? 50 years of a good relationship. After the sex goes, it's nice to still have something worthwile.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? I think there's the "X" factor that I honestly can't describe. There's just a chemistry that develops between two people. I don't think there's any one trait that I personally look for.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? I'm probably more of the play it safe type. Of course, I haven't had too much time for relationships, so what do I know?

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? I'd say 3 or 4. Sex is great, but there needs to be more for there to be a good relationship. In other words, a good relationship is the 23 hours and 45 minutes you're NOT having sex.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? I've written several.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? I move on. I could go for it, but if it backfires, there would be more than one broken heart. If they've committed to somebody else, then it wasn't meant to be.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? Hmmm. I'd probably go for it. It would be hard to see somebody I loved slip away, but there would be six months of real love.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth. 1: Trust. 2: Communication. 3: Sex. 4: Wealth.

10) Would you ever marry for money? Probably not. Although, it's fun to think about.

11) Would you die for the person you love? If it were THE person, I'd probably do it.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? Faithful lover.

13) How many times have you been in love? Several.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I don't think there is a magical number.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Yes. Love can be funny that way.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Laughter.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Games.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? It's nice, but no. I think our actions do more to say this than the words themselves.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? A little of both.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? Again, I don't think there's a magical number. I have thought I've found my soulmate several times, only to have been let down in the end. When things were good, they were great. When they weren't so good, it was over. People change over time. Situations and circumstances change and effect our views.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

I like the way you described that. :)

Somehow, I didn't see this at first. I'm sorry about James. He was lucky to have Sheila. That was a beautiful and happy, but sad story. :)

I was pretty much banking on everyone saying they'd take the 6 months. How could you not ? Thanks for sharing that and showing the reason to go for it.

) Yes and no. I believe it can happen for some people, but generally it doesnt happen for most.
2) I think I would choose one year.
3) Someone who is just blown away by who I am, warts and all.
4) I think it IS better to have loved and lost...but then again because I've experienced that, I am more apt to play it safe now.
5) I'd say 7 out of 10. It's important to have sex of course. I'd say minimum twice a week, and it has too be good, to have a steady relationship. In my mind, these things fall into place if it is the right person anyways.
6) Yes
7) Good Lord, no. If that person is married, then they weren't mean to be yours. More than likely that person has come into your life as a temptation. I detest people that divorce their spouses purely because they've been eyeballing someone else.
8) Love them...and bring them the best 6 months of their life. You will never regret that.
9) Communication, Trust, Sex, Wealth
10) I don't know. I'd like to think I wouldn't.
11) If I had to.
12) I am faithful in general.
13) 3
14) Infinite
15) Mmm...I haven't experienced that yet. I don't see that happening to me. I think when you're at that point maybe you're in love with person #1, and #2 is the love of the idea of being in love with them.
16) Trust
17) Cheating (sexually)
18) No.
19) I believe people come into your life for a reason. I don't think it's luck.
20) I haven't found mine. I believe are several people for everyone in the sense that it depends on the choices you make. For example, I moved to Florida 3 years ago. I met a girl here...but what if I had stayed in Atlanta and never moved here? I would have never met her. She may not be "the one" but I wouldn't have had that experience without coming here. I may have met someone else eventually.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Not yet.

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? The year in love.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? As long as they make me laugh on a regular basis, we connect, and I'm attracted to them, that's all I need. I suppose I've come close at times.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? Loved and lost.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? 10. Both.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Yes.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? Move on. I'm not completely classless, after all.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? Beats me, I'd have to be in that situation.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.

1. Trust
2. Communication
3. Sex
4. Wealth

10) Would you ever marry for money? No, I make enough of my own.

11) Would you die for the person you love? I don't know. Again, I'd have to be in that situation.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? Faithful. I wouldn't like it if someone I was seeing came home with someone else's germs, I wouldn't do it to them.

13) How many times have you been in love? Really in love? Once.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? Many times.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? No, I don't. I think it's selfishness, not love.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Trust in each other.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Being bossed around. That's what I have a mother for.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? No.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? Luck of the draw.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? Beats me.

Yes

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose?

The year in love - "an instant flash of light"

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?

Funny, smart, and likes old cars and movies. Yes, I have had it inb spades - "but now its gone - it doesn't matter anymore - but when you build that house . . . ."

8 - mental connection is perhaps more wonderful, but then again, so is a drunken romp in the kitchen with some one you completely love

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?

Many

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

"I'll take my dreams and my love - I'll go quietly"

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

I would stay.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Trust. Wealth. Sex.

1. Trust
2. Communication
3. Wealth
4. Sex

10) Would you ever marry for money?

No - though if a Rockefeller comes along - ask me then

11) Would you die for the person you love?

Yes.

This reminds me of a discussion I had with a friend about 9/11. We both agreed we probably would have died because we would have gone into that building to help the people get out instead of running for our lives. So, I think that would apply to someone I loved.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?

Faithful.

13) How many times have you been in love?

3

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?

Many times.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?

Yes - though I cannot see myself ever doing that

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?

Trust

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?

lack of respect or lack of attention

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?

No

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

Luck of the draw - though I think we all control our destiny to a great degree.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?

Yes - and they did indeed build that house - but I never went home

Smart, funny, sarcastic, witty, individualistic (see also: a bit odd and/or neurotic), ...someone who "gets" me (how cliche)...no, not yet

Also, everyone says that they would move on if the other person was already in a relationship. 1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Yes, absolutely.

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? 1 year of intense passion over 50 years devoid of any at all.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? Funny, smart, laid-back, kind, quick, and a humanitarian...I have him now.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? No playing safe, better to have "loved and lost"...I'd rather have something to remember than die feeling there could have been more.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? 10. And both

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Yes I have.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? It depends...the feelings would have to be mutual and it would have to be pretty intense, because generally I avoid those triangle things.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? Go for it. I would regret it if I didn't.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth. Trust and Communication are a first, then sex, and wealth would be last.

10) Would you ever marry for money? No. I am far too independent.

11) Would you die for the person you love? Yes.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? I am faithful, if you don't count occasional flirting and associating with various guy friends.

13) How many times have you been in love? Twice.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I think each person has a built-in limit.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Yes.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? Loyalty.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? No loyalty.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? No.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? I believe in destiny and soul mates.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? I truly feel each person has their own soul mate limit, but probably about two. I have only had one and he is with me now.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Love-No, Lust-Yes

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? Wow, this is a tough question. It depends; I think it would be extremely difficult to be totally alone for the rest of your life, but on the other hand, I would want to know just how "good" the 50 year relationship was going to be. If I knew the 50 year relationship was going to be really good minus the passion, I guess I would go for that.

3) Describe your ideal mate.
Good Sense of Humor, Intelligent, Fun, Caring, Compassionate, and Thoughtful. Have you ever come close to finding this person? Yes, that describe the guy I married word for word. :D

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?
It is definitely better to have loved and lost. There is nothing like being in love, even if it ends badly, which it has for me before, but I don't regret a second of it. You have to take risks to find true happiness, and some of those risks aren't going to work out.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship?

7, it is important, but it shouldn't be what is keeping you together. I built a seven year relationship on sex, and I realized that was all that was keeping us together. There has to be more, and I have found it.

Frequency, quality or both?

I think quality is much, much more important than frequency.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? Yes

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

I say go for it, especially if he/she is in a relationship but not married. If he/she were married, I would definitely be hesitant about it. Although, if he/she were truly happy with his/her spouse, I wouldn't be able to break it up anyway. It isn't totally in one person's hands; it takes two to tango, as they say.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

I say go for it; I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
Trust, Communication, Sex, Wealth

10) Would you ever marry for money? No, money alone doesn't make a marriage.

11) Would you die for the person you love? It depends on how you mean that. I would risk my life to save the person I love, but I wouldn't take my own life over him.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? I am very faithful. I have had several long term relationships, and I have been married for going on eight years, and I have never strayed.
13) How many times have you been in love? Twice

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? I think you can be in love several times in your life. You can love people for different reasons--each love is different.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Yes, you could love both of them in different ways or for different reasons.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? You have to have trust. If you can't trust your partner, you have nothing, IMO.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Extreme jealousy; I hate for someone to be so jealous that it truly interferes with the relationship. Someone you can't go out with, because a fight will ensue.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? Necessary-no, but it is nice to hear.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

I believe in destiny to some degree. I think people have a certain path that they are supposed to be on, and I think your relationships and mates are part of your path, but I also believe that people have free will and can stray from that path.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? I'm not sure that there are "soul mates." I think that there are people who fit together and can make their relationship work better than others. Also, I think some people can be more compatible than others. You could be sexually compatible with one person or emotionally compatible with another person. Sometimes, you are lucky, and you find someone who is compatible to you in every way. I'm very fortunate to have found someone I'm truly compatible with on many levels.

1) Do you believe in love at first sight? Absolutely

2) If given the choice of 1 year in love with the man or woman you’ve always wanted, after which time you would be alone for the remainder of your life (or) 50 years in a good relationship, but with little passion, which would you choose? I would pass on both. A lifetime of loneliness just isn't worth it, nor is a passionless marriage.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person? Well, he'd be kind, tall, liberal, emotional and empathetic. He'd love animals and have the utmost respect for our environment. Oh, and he'd be able to build things with his hands. I have not met this person yet - oh wait, I did but he was heterosexual.

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”? Uh, the first one.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both? Sex rates as a 10. It's all about quality AND quantity.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved? A poem, yes. They're always tragic.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on? Move on.

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you? I would go for it. Life is full of risks...and this is just one more in a string of them.

9) Put the following four relationship characteristics in your order of preference (1 being the highest, 4 the lowest): Communication. Sex. Trust. Wealth.
1-Trust
2-Communication
3-Sex (yes, it's still a '10')
4-Wealth

10) Would you ever marry for money? Yes, but only if I loved them too.

11) Would you die for the person you love? Not if it could be avoided!

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray? If I'm happy, I'm faithful. If I'm unhappy, I leave. I won't cheat.

13) How many times have you been in love? Oh, gosh, more than I can count.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)? As many times as they are willing to open themselves up and allow it.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time? Oh, yes.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up? My own friends.

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship? Putting television before everything else.

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship? No way. It gets annoying and meaningless after a time. To quote one of my favorite singers, 'it leaves me sweetened in an artifical way'.

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random? I live by destiny. There is no such thing as 'random'. Soul mates are everywhere, and they're not always lovers - more often, they aren't - they're best friends.

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will? I define a 'soul mate' as someone you have known and loved in a past life (not always a'lover'), so the quantity could therefore be thousands or more. I have known what I consider to be many soul mates, and continue to meet them every now and then.

Thanks for asking.

3) Describe your ideal mate. Have you ever come close to finding this person?

**Honest, Loyal, hard-working (but not a workaholic), independent, not too needy, funny, and aware of the need to take care of himself....and yes, I've come close to fininding someone like that....but it didn't work out...

4) Do you believe in “it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” or do you prefer to “play it safe”?

**It's totally better to have loved and lost - I'd not give up the loves I've had for anything...even though they've all gone caput.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), rate how important sex is to you in a relationship? Frequency, quality or both?

**I don't know - I go back and forth with that one -so I pass.

6) Have you ever written a poem or a song for someone you loved?

**Oh God yes.

7) Destiny has paid you a visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. The hitch is, he or she is in a relationship or married already. Do you go for it or move on?

***ooh - that's a hard one. I could not go after someone elses husband/wife - but if it were a non-married relationship I may pursue even though that's crappy - BUT if it's the person I'm MEANT to be with

8) Destiny has paid you another visit and introduced you to the man or woman you could see yourself loving for the rest of your life. However, you find out that this person has 6 months to live. Do you go for it or avoid the ultimate pain this relationship will cause you?

Wealth: 4

10) Would you ever marry for money?

***At this point in my life? YES.

11) Would you die for the person you love?

**Sure.

12) Do you see yourself as a faithful lover or one who might be prone to stray?

***I'm totally faithful - I've never strayed nor have I been tempted to, I'm very single minded - so when I'm with someone that's pretty much the only person I think of being with.

13) How many times have you been in love?

**three.

14) How many times do you feel a person can love in a lifetime (with different partners)?

**It varies with every person, as I also think that there are varying degrees of love.

15) Do you believe it is possible and even probable, to be in love with two people at the same time?

***sure.

16) What is the one thing you must have in a relationship and cannot compromise on or give up?

**honesty

17) What is the one thing you will not tolerate in a relationship?

**Cheating

18) Do you believe that saying or hearing the words “I love you” on a daily basis is necessary in a relationship?

**It depends on the relationship

19) Do you believe in destiny and soul mates or do you feel it is all the luck of the draw or random?

**I totally believe in destiny and sould mates and ALL that crap!

20) How many soul mates does one person have in a lifetime? Have you found yours? If not, do you feel sure you will?
