Just listened to the recording I have. I think it's Brian's recording. I remember that night. I remember how silent the audience was. We were all in complete awe of what we were experiencing. My god! I still get shivers. Remember the loud "AHHHHHHHH"? Oh God! I think I'm going to faint.

Soooo good. I will never, as long as I live, forget that song that night & the power it held over all of us. Sounds cheesy, but it's true.

Did you see the vid? It was on buckinghamnicks.net. Not sure if it's still there.

I know. I was there Saturday too and it just wasn't the same. The audience was loud and everyone was singing along where i was. Not that there's anything wrong that for any other song, but I don't know, I'm gonna sound like a cheese bag too and say that Beauty and the Beast deserves the respect of silence.

Same thing Wed when I got the vid - still a great performance, but the crowd was yelling stuff & it made a huge diff.

I felt like I'd been through an entire relationship and dumped at the end on Tuesday. I was completely emotionally spent!

Tuesday's performance was my favorite. It was such a surprise and her performance was so stunning that the whole place was silent. Her performance Wed was good too but everyone was so noisy I just kept thinking, "shut the f--- up!" People need to be quiet during songs like BATB and then be loud for Stand Back. That's ok.

I got Brian's cd's yesterday and put the Tuesday show in while I was putzing around the house. When Beauty and the Beast came on the silence was deafening even in the other room. As excited as I was to see it again at the Wednesday show - the Tuesday performance could not be topped. Maybe it was that I was expecting it or maybe it was the "Sing to me Stevie" guy - all I know is that the Tuesday show will go down as one of my favorite lifetime memories.

There was something very special about being there opening night and hearing BATB for the first time and by complete surprise. (have I said this before, somewhere, in another thread?) You could hear a pin drop. I'm sure that added to the whole hair standing on end, goose bump thing. I need to get my order in for the DVD. I can totally relate to the whole emotional thing... at the end of that little jaunt... feeling so emotionally spent. It has been exactly one month, hasn't it. In many ways I feel like I still haven't gotten over it. What did they pump into the air ducts that night? :D

I miss that little moment in time too. Sigh... :o

Tuesday nights performance was probably the most moving thing I have ever seen out of Stevie. My favorite moment used to be Silver Springs, Atlantic City, from the Dance but that was a totally different vibe. BaTB was just spell binding.

On Wednesday, it was great but that "sing for me Stevie" guy really ruined the first minute and a half of the song for me. I kept thinking of ways to go over and shove things down his throat....I also went through the entire thought process of how his idiotic yelling was going to be on any boot that surfaced and boy that made me mad. So yea, Tuesday nights is a performance that will never be topped.

I'm stuck in the middle with the Tues and Wed. performance. I like Tuesday's cause like others have said about the audience being so quiet and because none of us knew what she was going to do.
But even though the crowd was more rowdy Wed., her performance affected me more emotionally. I literally held my breath through most of the song while crying my eyes out. And my dumb ass was still crying after the concert. :o
I don't know what it was but she made me want to crawl in a cave and cry for 30 days asking myself who was the Beauty and who was the Beast.
Oh, Stevie..... :distress:

*Just realized it has been thirty days, so I'm doing much better now.

That idiot ruined her best performance. As a listener Tuesday seems better because the hush in the crowd set the proper mood in the audience. Stevie actually performed the song better on Wednesday, imo. No doubt we'd all like to kill that fool from Wedneday.

You guy's have just made me re-live Tuesday nite's performance again! It was breathtaking, heart breaking, down right bawl my eye's out performance! I will never ever forget that performance and the effect it had on me! "Sing to me Stevie" ass-hole was standing right behind me, you can hear me say "SHUT UP" on Paula's video, f**k, I was mad!

Yes....I just compared the two on my dvds. Tuesday the crowd makes the atmosphere incredible. Wednesday she was better vocally. I still like Tuesday's performance better because of the complete dead silence in the venue ...I was literally bawling like a baby. Wednesday she seemed even more confident with her voice. I hope she totally tuned out that A-Hole and all the other ones there too. Even the one who screams "You are baby" after she asks "Who is the beauty??"
Please no distractions on a gorgeous song like that. They did the same thing during Say Goodbye....choosing that appropriate time to scream "marry me stevie" or "I wanna f@@ you Stevie". Poor Lindsey.

he is clearly heard on the Wednesday bootleg, And while it is annoying it is at the same time somewhat humorous.

I wasn't there for Wednesday night. What's the deal with the "sing to me Stevie" guy? Did he keep saying it over and over or just once? Sounds like you guys all want him dead! I was there for Saturday night and this dip**** was standing right beside me singing the entire song. He was singing it way faster than she was singing it in this weird "I wish I was Bob Dylan" sort of voice. It pretty much ruined the performance for me. As much as I tried to tune him out, I couldn't help it. He was so obnoxious!
