Hey was anyone able to get decent seats for Concord I could only pull up the 204/205 sections, so I passed...How did everyone else make out for the presale?

That's all I was able to pull up too, sections 204 and 205. I gave in and bought a seat in 204 row AA, so at least it's in the first row of the second section.
That's a bit of a disappointment but I might try and pull up a better seat. If I find something in the first 5 rows somehow, I'll splurge for a ticket.
The only time I was ever in the front row was at Mac's Say You Will concert at the Oakland Coliseum. That experience was a little surreal because I found myself just awestruck, and whole songs would go by and all I could do was just stare at Stevie & Lindsey-LOL

Section 209, Row JJ. I saw matchbox twenty from this section, so they aren't exactly horrible seats, just nowhere near as close as I'd have liked. Stupid Ticketmaster...

I'm definitely waiting for better seats to pop up. I'm picky so I'm hoping for something in the first 5 rows.

That's what I was thinking, but I know I'll still check every day. Can't help it!
Why do you think there wasn't even a whiff of anything close up???

I only had 200 section seats come up for me too... what a wonderful presale! I MUST have seats in that little pit section!

Oh, I probably will also. :D
Can we Bay Area folk share the news if great seats start popping up? I promise to do my part.
I'm waffling between Reno and Concord anyway. I'd much rather go to an indoor arena, and I wonder if there's a better chance of getting great seats in Reno. Then I can take the casino bus from San Francisco which is always an interesting and mildly scary experience.
I just think presales are a joke and a scam. I know some people have had luck, but those stories seem to be the rare exception.

Because the entire thing is a f*cking racket! Ticketmaster are a bunch of crooks, and they're hordeing the good seats for the stupid brokers/scalpers!!!
I actually have no idea. I'm just venting (still) cuz I jumped the gun and bought ****ty seats while the rest of you patient people will probably end up in the front row... *sigh* :o

I think I'm going to go to both Concord and Reno.

Chasing the tour bus, eh girl! Go on wit' yo bad self. LOL. Are you taking any passengers????
I am seriously contemplating Red Rocks, so I don't know if I'll make it to So. California, or Reno now. RR & Concord would be cool, but I just can't face that drive from Concord to Reno between shows. UGH.

No, she's thus far ignored my hints about "passengers"

No I haven't. I am willing to take passengers. I have room for four if you guys squeeze together in the back seat.
Anita, that's cool that you're contemplating Red Rocks. I think I still want to do Southern California but only Universal City and maybe Santa Barbara. I think I can handle the driving.
I just checked Ticketmaster (after telling myself not to) and sure enough, seats are coming up in the lower sections!
I'm stuck with ****ty 209, when if I'd only waited a few days I could be in 101, 106 or 107!!!
So I called TM's customer service, and asked "What is the point in presales if the better seats are going to be released to the general public?" Her answer was "With an event like this you're better off skipping the presale since it's probably not going to sell out anyway. Now, if it was U2 or the Stones, you'd definitely want to take advantage of any presales." Dumb b*tch.
So I tried in vain to get her to exchange my tix. No such luck. I knew that by calling I was just wasting time, but I thought I might feel better if she had a good excuse. She didn't. I don't feel better and I'm still stuck in section 209. Ugh. Ok I'm done. :(

I pulled 12th row yesterday, but holding out for better.
I think you should get a manager and demand an upgrade. These presales are a total scam. They are obviously a ploy to get people to snatch up the worst of the expensive seats. I would fight, fight, fight and if you get nowhere then why not to that consumer advocate guy on Channel 4 so that he can expose them.

12th row?! Lucky bastard... ;) What section?
I was thinking the same thing. I know they say "all tickets are final", but they can do whatever they want to. I think I'll call back right now...

It was Sec. 102, Row M. I should've said 12th row outside the pit.
I'm holding out, though.

Strand said he's gotten tickets changed many times by hounding them, and sometimes threatening to cancel his CC payment. I think you should keep calling.

I just got off the phone with a "manager". I think she just handed her headset to the guy washing the windows, but whatever. He said that they can't upgrade or exchange because of the promoter/venue. Bill Graham Presents has a strict policy prohibiting them from doing that, or so they say. I guess this is yet another lesson in patience for me...

Well, good for you, I guess. That would be a lesson in screaming and fuming and going ballistic for me. Maybe also name calling.

Neal, I would now call Bill Graham Presents at 415-371-5500. This is what their website says:
"The staff at Bill Graham Presents still follows the principles of treating each guest with care and respect taught to us by the late Bill Graham."
If that is their philosophy, then surely they know that it is not respectful to trick guests into buying substandard seats.
If that goes nowhere, I'd go to Contact Four. This qualifies as a scam in my opinion.
I just got upgraded from 209 to 107! :] :] :]
Still far from the best seats available, but much better than what I had!
I don't want to have to ask anymore favors from the person who helped me out, so I'll be holding on to that number for Bill Graham. Thanks Rickypt!

I won't be "close enough" until I'm sitting in Stevie's lap! (Well, you know what I mean ;) ).
I met this guy at an Erasure concert last month, and he works for Ticketbastard. He overheard me bitching about yet another bad experience to my friend and then he gave me his business card (with home # on the back  ). I just told him it was f*cked up the way the whole presale went down and I didn't think I should pay the same price for super-****ty seats that they were charging for semi-****ty seats!

Oh, man, score. Nice. So, um, that was very nice of him, but did he say anything about the seats you (and I) really want? Any clues? Any hints?
Congrats!

Well when he said he got me 107, I jokingly (but not really) asked why I wasn't good enough for the pit. He said "don't push your luck!" So I didn't...

well good for you Neal for fighting for better seats. As for me I happily picked up a row E in the lower levels, thank you Tower Records! And actually being my height I didn't want pit seats so I am really quite happy :blob1: I figured after the sec 200's came up for presale that it was probably a scam, since one didn't have to pay for the password...Artisits really need to be more specific when agreeing to the reserved seats, and I am sure they do get some say...
