Meet-up before the Detroit(Clarkston, MI) show?

Hey everyone,

I am making the 5-hour drive from the Chicago area to see Stevie and Don, and I was wondering if anyone would like to meet up for dinner before the concert? There's an Outback Steakhouse within 10 minutes of the venue, as well as several restaurants that I'm less familiar with on the same street as the venue. I've met up with on-line fans before and it's always been a pretty good time. Just e-mail me privately (or maybe post here as that might actually be easier if we end up with a big group).

Ooooooo a friend called and asked if I could go to the show - I cannot though as I am elsewhere that weekend. Have a BLAST though. I saw FM in their final SYW concert there last year and just LOVED that arena and all the woods around everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:wavey: I;ll be there too...am sooooooooo excited..I fly in from atlantic canada on wednesday..and praying my luggage doesn;t get lost ..like last time..Not sure if I can meet for dinner though as I am going to the concert with my 2 daughters and not sure what the plan is yet..But hopefully we will run into each other at sometime..I'll be dressed totally Stevie (ish) Black dress ,shawl, boots and a hat with wild heart pin on front of it..Belive me you won;t miss me..lol.. :D

Coolness! :-) I will probably wear a brown tank top + necklace and a long patterned peasant skirt w/ orange being the dominant color (w/ mostly black and brown accents). And I have long dark brown hair w/ blondish highlights. Oh, and I'm short; about 5'2". :) I'll say 'hi' to ya if I see ya. Regardless, hope your trip is safe and enjoyable and have fun at the concert!

Just thought I'd say, I PM'd you, Lisa Anne, but I am going to this show as well...making the 4 hour Greyhound trek from Toronto, baby!! I had to, after seeing the Holmdel show last week...I just had to see another show. Even though I've never been to Detroit in my life, I don't drive so I'm gonna have to rely on Greyhounds to get me as close to the venue as I can and cab it from there, and I'm not staying in a hotel, just leaving the next morning...LOL...I gotta do it. And I'd love to meet up... I'm also up for hangin out *after* the show, if anyone wants to. I just found out there's a Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn.............. LOL...I have to somehow make it until 7:10am Sunday morning, so if anyone wants to get a couple drinks or a coffee or anything, I'm completely up for it.

I get into Detroit at either 5:50am (eeww...not liking that one, lol) or 2:30pm, and planning on catching a Greyhound to Pontiac at either 9:30am or 5:30pm, depending when I get there...and leaving Sunday morning at 7:10am. Those are all the plans I have...add to them! ;) I so can't wait...one week more!

I thought I'd post what the "final plans" are, based on what the people who've gotten back to me have said.

The plan is to meet at the Outback Steakhouse and actually get seated by 6:30 pm (which could require my getting there and giving a name by 6 or something--I will try to get there early, so that if you get there by 6:30 you should be able to sit right away). The Outback is on Dixie Highway (US-24) which is within a few minutes of the venue and does not require getting on any major highways or expressways to get to or from the venue. The address of the restaurant is 6435 Dixie Highway, in Clarkston, Michigan.

I will tell them that I am with the "Ledge" party so that anyone coming in from the Ledge will be directed to the right place! How does that sound? Please let me know if you think you can make it!

Sounds great Lisa...if you can, please save 2 seats for my sister and me...I am not positive that we'll be there or not yet, but just in case, I don't want to miss out on the fun. :thumbsup:

Ok, since only 2 of us are definite, I will explain and request a table or booth that could reasonably fit a few more! :)
