That's fricking awesome. What a tool. Okay, admittedly, I just skimmed it, but I may have something more insightful later....
The hypocrisy is revolting, I'm glad he was taken to task.
"Be ok with what you love and how you love it, or there's a steaming pot of Molten Karma Fire....it's a'waitin' for ya, Btch!" (says my friend.).)
MKF, Biatch!!!
My friend told me to sign this:
"Love to all, and haha to all Karmically smacked up senator bitches"

I have never understood how a gay person could be a social conservative and support such bigoted legislation.Even the silly "Log Cabin ' Repug gay political group had to refuse to endorse Shrub in 2004 to avoid looking like complete self loathing imbeciles although they supported him in 2000.If I were to go out on a date with another guy and learn that he had voted for Shrub I'd get up and walk away without a single word .I find the concept that repulsive.

In some ways, I would have thought you'd feel just the opposite. Knowing that a lot of conservatives support what Bush is doing in the Middle East, I could see why they'd vote for the guy. Look at Dennis Miller. He disagrees with a lot of Bush's social policies, especially on same-sex marriage, but still championed Shrub because of his actions and INTERNATIONAL policies post-9/11. So while I personally don't agree with Iraq, and feel that the US was sold a bunch of BS, I wouldn't necessarily hold it against somebody for voting Shrub, if it were because of 9/11, Iraq, etc. The images from that day affected a lot of people in different ways, and has with many clouded their rationality over this idiot.

And what does 9/11 have to do with the illegal and immoral invasion of and the costly and insane occupation of Iraq?I'm afraid if my date was stupid enough to believe that one justified the other that would be another great reason to end it post haste.

I agree, and I don't think there's a way to intellectually justify the war. However, it's not like Sadam cooled his jets with the USA after 9/11. If anything, he appeared to be egging us on. At the end of the day, he was a bad guy from the Middle East, which is the EXACT demographic Shrub knew he could go after with the support of many Americans. I'm not saying it was right.

I'm afraid if my date was stupid enough to believe that one justified the other that would be another great reason to end it post haste.
Again, after 9/11, things changed for a lot of people.

It does seem a bit odd that over 70% of NYC .the hardest hit place on 9/11 voted against Shrub so that correlation is really no excuse .Shrub's approval ratings have plummeted just today into the negatives in all regoins but the South. So apparently all but the most ignorant bible thumpers are finally catching on .It just pains me that is too late.

Or emotional voters who can't seem to actually think things thru, aka my roommate. I do not know how people can dismiss facts and sleep at night.

While I agree with you and think that is a logical argument, the far, far left cannot abide anything W has done at all, ever, under anycircumstances and wish ill on the people who voted for him no matter their reasoning - thus, good luck with this argument

Sadly, the rank hyposcrisy of it is the far. far left seemingly all LOVE Kerry and Kerry (along with the majority of D's) has voted with W on just about every main issue there is, including the so called illegal Iraqi war (I have yet to see why it clearly is illegal though I think we should not have gone in until the UN finished its task) and I never tire of pointing out that Kerry was calling for the US to do something about SH at least as of 98, when Kerry vehemently promoted bombing Iraq based on essentially the same evidence as W used to invade it. I get that unlike W, Kerry then did not then call for an all out invasion but still submit that distinction was without a difference to the thousands of innocent Iraqi's who dies in those bombings and Kerry (and Clinton) relied on essentially the same evidence to do that. Moreover, Kerry gave W the authority to invade Iraq and then foolishly claimed he did not know W would misuse that power - I mean I knew it and I am not a high ranking Senator. So, why is it murder when W does essentially the same killing and Kerry gets a free pass just because he is not W or Republican?

Moreover, Kerry is far from liberal as that word used to be defined (no same sex marriage, no abortion at any time, no no holds barred affirmative action, etc. ) Yet, when someone points that out, it is as if they said "I love W" I mean I voted for Kerry solely because I hate W's policies, but I knew damn good and well, Kerry was just Bush lite (and not the beer) and, at the time and not, freely admit that I was a hypocrit for doing voting for Kerry because he really, like W, represented nothing I believed in.

Oh Well - hypocrisy and politics go hand in hand.

Note - I despise W and his policies. But, I think that voting for Kerry hardly was a step up or at least too far from voting for W.

Isn't this arguing a moot point? Kerry did not get elected. That said, Kerry sucks too, you're right. But how did you get on this from the gay thing? And, do you listen to AAR? The far far left thinks Kerry's a wuss bag phoney.

I had hardly thought Kerry could do no wrong .He was just by far the lesser of two evils .I was not happy in the least with his voiting record on the Iraq invasion.Dennis Kucinich was my choice. My politics are fairly average for the region in which I live but I guess that would qualify as the far far left in a nation that seems to be careening dangerously to the far far right,

They were all over him around election time though weren't they

I just think it is sad when no one has a spine but W - in fact, that is frightening.

Also, the only reason I ever bring up the D's is to point out how similar they are to the R's on most issues. Thus, I think when you slam the R's you (general) out to slam the D's right along with them.
