NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I loved that show. (Homer voice) Stupid HBO...

Oh well, at least we can enjoy the last season of their other great show, Six Feet Under. They'd better come up w/ 2 shows equally as good, stat!

HBO cancels 'Carnivale'

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- HBO has pulled up stakes on "Carnivale," opting not to order a third season of the circus-set Dust Bowl drama.

This is true. I HATE Deadwood. I watched the first twenty minutes of the pilot and about 10 minutes of another episode so I am mostly coming from a place of ignorance but what I saw was a bunch of writers who for the sake of "gritty realism" forgot how to write dialogue and instead, everytime they hit a writer's block, they just went into an avalanche of profanity. Carnivale on the other hand was atmospheric, character driven television: the best kind of TV.
