Ok, I'm on a roll now. I just wanted to share a story with u guys about another band I like called the Stereophonics. I wont do this often, because I know this is a Stevie room, but I thought you'd all find this interesting. I posted on their website that I'd had a chance to see them in Minneapolis on May 28, and met the band before the show, they signed my poster and all that stuff, got a picture with them. then came the interesting part. this band is a bit more of a modern sort of alternative group, and when I mentioned the part about how I liked Fleetwood Mac, u should have heard them jump all over me about how old they are, blah blah blah. I just said that first of all you're entitled to your opinion, but that I feel that good music is good music, whether it be old or new. and besides, I've been a Fleetwood Mac fan for 30 years almost, and theyre music means so much to me, I really couldnt care less what someone else thinks. :D

See, and that attitude would make me not want to listen to their music! But I'm old and old-fashioned, I guess. Way to stick up for the Mac, though.

The keyboardist in the Stereophonics uses many find old retro keyboards, such as the Fender Rhodes. He has a true understanding of the instrument's unique characteristics, & brings out those characteristics in his playing. I'm surprised that with such a veneration of classic equipment, this band doesn't have any more admiration or respect for classic bands like Fleetwood Mac.

I just wanted to clarify that when I said that people were all over me about Fleetwood Mac, it was the fans response in the message board, not the group itself

I'm with you on this one. However, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just pity those who let anything like age or popularity, etc. get in the way of experiencing the talents and music of FM.
