Ok guys here's the summary. It's going to be short hand because I'm at work and have a million things to do. She sounded amazing and happy and full of energy *melts*. I am so in love with my girl!!

-She's been in Philly for 2 weeks doing shows and it's been quite an adventure.
-Marc and Brian ask what it was like being on the road with FM for the SYW tour and she says Lindsey and me fight like cats and dogs but that's how it's always been. Nothing every changes.
-They ask her about Vegas and she says the Coliseum at Cesar's is "to die for" and went on and on about the huge projection screen and how they now have a much smaller screen and she calls it the Toyota version as opposed to the Mercedes in Vegas. Went on and on how much she loves the screen.
-Went to Vegas to see Celine and Elton and went through a bunch of footage and she mentions her favorite artist but I didn't understand who she said.

Then they took callers:
Q- Are you coming to Sacramento?
She doesn't know, just knows she's coming out to CA. Marc says she's scheduled to stay at his house lol.

Q- The guy asks about a Fleetwood Mac Rumors book and she says you mean Mick's book and he says no and she says she doesn't know the book he is talking about and that she did not ever read Mick's book. Ha!

Q- The caller went to the first night of Vegas and raves about Beauty and the Beast and asks if Stevie could feel how into it the crowd was. Stevie replies it is her favorite new moment and how in love with the movie she is and that she gets emotional knowing the crowd can see the movie on the screen behind her. Also said the movie breaks her heart and she gets goose bumps. Awwww :)

Finally, Marc and Brian ask her if she's retiring to Vegas (drum roll.......)
NO PEOPLE SHE IS NOT AND I KNEW IT. She is going to do 3 or 4 shows in August and may do a Vegas thing 2 or 3 times a year but is definitely not buying a house there! She says she is not going to stop touring anytime soon.
At the end she tells M & B she will dedicate BATB to them if they come to the show and it's up to them to decide who is the beauty and who is the beast. How cute ;)

I missed practically the whole thing! I heard the part about the Vegas shows, but didn't hear her say she wasn't retiring there. Right on!

Lots and lots more of Stevie solo! :]

I really wish someone would've asked about the future of Fleetwood Mac.

She probably wouldn't have answered it anyway.

Not only that, generally in interviews such as this, Stevie's people would probably give them questions to be asked that she specifically wants to answer or that her people want her to answer.

Well if that were the case, they wouldn't have been taking calls. Callers don't know what to ask.

I took her saying that she plans to tour solo as a way of saying FM wouldn't be on the road anytime soon. Couple that with her saying that she and Lindsey *still* fought like cats and dogs during the SYW tour and, in my opinion, maybe we'll see a farewell tour? I don't know, but I doubt we'll see another studio album. :distress:

Don't almost all of them have the five second delay if the show is live. That way any obnoxious caller can be cut before it airs

Thank God we can put the retirement rumor to bed. I was getting so sick of everyone and their mother saying that Vegas, etc. was a "message" that she is leaving the music business. Yeah right!

I think they would have to have the delay, but that would only keep callers from getting out things like "f**k me, Stevie". They wouldn't be able to delay an entire call and it would look stupid to cut the caller off so I think that even if they screened the call, the caller could throw in an afterthought easily, like "oh and by the way" and ask whatever they want to. I heard Lindsey on Mark and Brian a year or two ago (?) and they were very loose with him and him with them. They actually had him laughing, so his guard was down  . (they seem like huge fans of his). I don't think they'd be much different with Stevie and doubt the questions were canned.

That makes 2 of us. I never believed for one moment that she was going to retire or become a regular Vegas act and I am so glad I could be the messanger after hearing it directly from her!

If she continues to play shows in Vegas a few times a year I hope she gets an orchestra. Could you imagine? Also, a better set. Does anyone remember the Street Angel stage? It was beautiful!

Did she say she plans to keep touring solo? Is that what she said? I didn't hear the interview but the way I read it above, the person who wrote the summary only said she isn't going to quit touring. Where did she say solo? Do people assume she means that because she said she and LB fought during the SYW tour. What else is new?

In the last few interviews Stevie has said that Lindsey didn't approve of her somewhat insane wardrobe choices and that he and she fight like cats and dogs. For some reason I am getting the feeling that they are at odds. Or that this is a way of saying she is "over him". Because just a few years ago in interviews she was saying things like "leaving Lindsey was a big mistake"...

Hmmmm.....

From the person who wrote the summary and heard the interview to me it sounded like she was talking about touring solo but that doesn't mean she won't ever tour again with FM. Why does everything have to be so final? Can't people just be open to the possibility that she may tour with them again. I mean maybe they don't even know. People are always jumping to conclusions and making conjectures. No one really knows for sure so all we can do is wait and see.
Also, artists say things all the time about breaking up or getting back together and sometimes it never even happens. We all know how many times the Mac have broken up already so no need for anyone to get their panties in a roll.
This is all in good fun hope I didn't sound uptight lol. ;)

You shouldn't be so cynical! :) I have many years under my belt working for radio stations. This is what usually happens when someone of Stevie's stature is interviewed:

Management may (or may not) state certains issues/subjects that the person being interviewed doesn't want to address. Their "people" don't usually provide the questions!

Usually callers with questions are pre-screened -- meaning their call is received by someone who "fields" the question. If the question is deemed legitimate/appropriate, that person is put in a cue with other questioners-- on hold until the interviewer gets around to patching them in on air.

I never thought for a second that this was it... she's too much on a roll right now to call it quits... All her solo shows are selling out (or close to), the crowds love her.. she's in great shape and great spirit and she sounds awesome.. why would she retire?? no reason to...

No, she never said that, you really should't quote something that was never said. It was about a year & a half ago, during the SYW tour. She said something like to the effect of Lindsey was so in love, and that he has his family & loves his kids so much & she loves the way he is with his kids & she said "I look at him now and just go 'oh, Stevie, you made a mistake!'"

Some may interpret that as her saying she made a mistake by not staying with Lindsey - I don't. I think it's more of a regret about not having a family of her own. JMO. She has never said that leaving him was a mistake.

I don't think they're battling either. But I'm sure that after more than 2 years of doing the album & touring took its toll & they were on eachother's last nerve. Who wouldn't be?

Stevie did this interview to help promote this summer tour....she is not the type to suddenly "announce" she is quitting touring in a promotional interview for a TOUR. Who knows what she is doing but saying she isn't ready to give up touring, that she isnt going to become "just" a Vegas act, WHILE she is touring makes sense to me. Maybe she meant FM...she never said she wasn't touring next summer with FM and she always says she and Lindsey fight like cats and dogs...what is new about that? Maybe she will tour solo next summer...who knows? Nothing she said on KLOS today is proof of anything. (remember how she said she was starting a studio album after getting off the road with SYW?? Her saying she is not ready to give up "touring" lends even more creedence to the argument that her priorities could be changing somewhat...she said nothing about recording again)

BTW....I cannot hardly believe that Mark and Brian have free reign with what they can discuss with Stevie. I bet they don't.

People are only quoting half of what Stevie said.

How could anyone who remotely knows Stevie think she would retire from touring? I don't understand that. The woman is a ROAD WARRIOR. I can't forsee her stopping until either she drops dead or she can't get anyone to fund it. Even then she might do it for free. Plus, I think if she knew she wouldn't be touring again she'd tell us and be much more emotional than she has been so far this tour. I'm new and I don't want to ruffle any feathers but I was really perplexed that there even was a conversation about it.

well I doubt she'll wait til she drops dead. I dont think she'll be touring at 75 or even 65, I think its just too hard. I really hope we have at least a good 5-7 years of her actively touring. Maybe from 65-70 will be teh "Vegas" only years. And after that it'll be the "Rock a Little in that chair" tour!
