View Full Version : Question About Pittsburgh

We're thinking of skipping our trip to Ellis Island and driving to PA for the Pittsburgh show, but the seating chart makes no sense. How many rows are in the pit section? I'm asking because brokers are asking more for seats in sections 1,2 & 3 than they are for the pit.
I know my usual last minute ticket getting techniques won't work because of ILAA, but I thought I'd check out some brokers (even though I hate doing that).

The pit has 5 rows.
The next section back starts with Row D.
www.post-gazettepavilion.com under Seating Chart has great info.
Hope this helps, and I hope to see ya there! :wavey:

What is ILAA, and why won't you be able to get good last minute tix?

I love all access (the fan package program) and because they tend to be giving away some pretty good seats that normally would be those opening the day of the show.

Thanks for the info....it just seems odd that according to the venue webbsite there are 200 seats or so in the pit.
Pit
Pit A - 20 seats
Pit B - 40 seats
Pit BB - 46 seats
Pit C - 52 seats
Pit CC - 52 seats
With the Eagles and Henley, we stopped being able to get 1st or 2nd row seats the day of the show when they started doing ILAA. It used to be great fun just waiting and then getting up front. We went to 14 shows one summer and never sat further back than 3rd row. Those days are gone.
Again...thanks for the info.

Yeah, some definitely have, but not as many as usual it seems. Plus we're competing with those darn henley fans. :xoxo:

Below is a link to the cheapest online ticket broker I have found for this show. Prices not too bad, selection okay, but way better then what has been on Ticketmaster lately.
1800 BestSeats.com Stevie and Don Pittsburgh (http://www.1-800-bestseats.com/ResultsTicket.aspx?evtid=226873)

THanks everyone.
I'm wondering about 2 sets of tickets so if anyone has been to this venue, I'd be really glad for input.
Section 2 row D seems to be the first section out of the pit. How far back is it? 6th row? Is the pit actually a pit where you walk down into it?
I could also get row CC which I think is 5th row, but the price is leading me to believe that they would be way off to the side.
Argh....the box office was no help.
Thanks for any insight you have!

the pit isn't very big so any ticket would be good enough, even if not in the center. it's all folding chairs in the front section, you can usually get people to band together to just move them aside once the show starts and everyone crowds the front. the pit is also usually gated off, so anyone counting on moving up probably won't.

I don't think I'll be attending the show. I'd love to, but I'm not pulling up any good seats, plus I'm scheduled to close at work so I'd have to bargain with the assistant to switch with me, which he's not gonna do since he closes Friday. Besides, with the way things are going, I think I should just lock myself in my house. So, you guys have fun...hopefully next year I'll be able to go.
