Oh god this is my favorite show! I am getting sad thinking about it's impending finale, but I'm thrilled that it's back. It's one of the only shows I watch religiously. Don't spoil it please, I haven't seen it. It's only 8 here.

I loved the Brenda/Lisa scene! I hated lisa, but this scene was so powerful. It was obviously Brenda's subconscience and it was so powerful. What about Billy and Claire? Do you think he is going to lose it with the marriage?

That was a very powerful scene. Still can't stand Lisa. As for Billy and Claire, Claire and her Mom especially, we'll have to get into that once everyone's had a chance to see it, don't want to spoil it for anyone.

Ok, and poor Brenda :distress: I just love her. That is all I will say.

Ok, some favorite parts:

- Brenda and Lisa scene was amazing! The two of them both in wedding dresses - very powerful.
- Ruth slapping Claire! Oh **** I was so mad - I shreaked.
- Ruth's flashbacks. What a great way to fill us in. I love this show.
- David and Keith. I don't know. Seems like something bad will come out of the surrogate thing.

I get creepy vibes from the whole Billy and Claire thing. So far I adore Brenda. Nate was surprisingly low-key in this episode. Excellent one though.

Yes. And I just cancelled our HBO!! We never watched it except for SFU, Sex and the City (now gone), and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Guess I'll have to catch this last season of SFU and the new seasons of Curb on DVD :(.

I loved all the nutty flashbacks and daydreamed scenes, especially Claire's! One of my favorite lines was when David said, "I don't want to rent out some woman's womb like it's a storage locker!"

Keith is hot.

I thought Claire was acting so weird at the wedding - why was she making those bug eyes when she was talking to Billy? I thought she be trippin' on somethin' at first! :D

Ruth is very compelling - she has issues....she cracks me up.

She is beautiful with her hair down. "You ride up my thigh"  I have to find out the rest of the lyrics. The girl can definately sing.

Hands down, the best episode of this final season. I love it when Kathy Bates makes a cameo... :wavey:

I am SOOO knocked out by Claire. I caught that Mizrahi show as well and would love to see her in a smoky club. What a voice!

And can I just say that it's nice to have this show back on Sunday nights? :]

*spoiler*

Did Nate just die???? They put up the white screen like they do at the beginning of the show when someone dies. ?? I heard a major character was supposed to die this season...not my Nate! :distress: Did he have a brain aneurysm or stroke? How's ferret face gonna explain that? At least he had his clothes back on...I noticed no scenes for next week's episode...and the fact that Ruth just took off without telling anyone she went camping - I can see them all freaking out over Nate and wondering where the hell Ruth is...

btw-Claire and the guy in the supply closet? Hot!

I am wondering if he has really been dead since Season 3 because there are episodes titled 2001-2005 part one and two. Some kind of major twist is coming. He looked like he was dead.

Interesting. You mean he's been dead and just visiting everyone, like the dad? Like a Sixth Sense thing? I don't know about that though, the wedding to Brenda, her 2 pregnancies, I think he's been alive all this time, but dead now. But if you're right, what a way to mind f*ck the audience! LOL

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I thought he died last week, tonight's show was just really difficult to watch. I bawled my eyes out!

On a lighter note: Took me a minute to realize that was David in the van. LOL!! Ruth's shooting gallery was hilarious! :D I enjoyed the brief return of creepy Harold and Maude guy: "Let's rub heads." That same actor was on Entourage tonight as well...

I sobbed after tonight's episode. I was furious and disturbed by Nate when he died, but I still didn't want him to die. I was so crushed, like a family member passed away. I've watched this show for 5 years and I feel like I know Nate or something.
I'm very happy for every other character, especially Rico and Vanessa and Keith and David. But, poor poor Brenda. I really think it's amusing how she's matured and she and Nate switched roles in a way, he's acting like the old Brenda would have. Or he was acting before he DIED. :(
Next week's episode looks so very sad. I will cry through the whole thing I know it.
Oh, and I ****ing hate Maggie. When they were in the waiting room I kept screaming "WHY IS SHE STILL THERE?!?!"

This week's favorite quote is a tie between Arthur and Brenda:
"I care for you, let's rub heads" or
"What did you talk about? His daughter and his pregnant wife?"

I despise Maggie.

I hate the way the Nate/Brenda story line developed this season. They were such a cool couple when it first started. I hate what his last words to her were.

I know. I kept thinking about that and how Brenda has been thru so much and to end it like that is sad. And poor Maya...first mom now dad. :(

Does Nate have a thing for women with overbites or what? I could never get past how Brenda looks like a character from the Simpsons...and Maggie...ugh!

We never found out if Nate was really Maya's father or not, did we? Her daddy may still be Lisa's bro-in-law, who blew his brains out. Regardless of who Maya's father was, they're both dead now. :distress:

F*ck Maggie. Anyway, I think she was crying more out of guilt than grief - Brenda let her have it w/ the Quaker "screw him until he dies" comment...she had no business attending the burial - Ruth invited George, not Maggie.

I loved Claire's flashback. That actor that plays David deserves an Emmy for last night's episode.

I can't believe there's only 2 more episodes left. :(

Brenda's dream about Billy? Eeww! I was literally saying out loud, "Oh NO, they are NOT going there...."

it did seem a little weak. I keep going back and forth over Brenda...do I like her or don't I? I can't decide. And I wish to god David would get a grip, I mean I understand, but geez, the storyline seems so old, a stretch and not very realistic...or maybe I just can't make the connection.

I thought the show was excellent last night. But I've always totally loved Brenda and believe her incestuous fantasy came about because of her realization that Billy will always be there for her and on her side...and of course she knows he loves her in that way. YUCK. And I want her to take Maya and run eventhough I'm sure Ruth wants her so much. But I agree with you completely on David. This morning I came to the realization that he is the character I like the least. Total drama queen. I know he survived that terrible attack by Jake but he's a father now - he can't be a frail little girl.

So far the saddest thing this season for me was seeing Claire's avocado green hearse totalled and then taking a kick to the window. And I am including Nate's death in my opinion.

I was trying to figure that out too. In the end, I just assumed she was going home, but why couldn't she get a ride with the tow truck or why didn't someone pick her up? Hmmm...

It looked like she was on a Greyhound bus - and I didn't think Nate's gravesite was THAT far away from LA. I'm assuming that old geezer paid her $950 in cash for the car - so she does have the means to disappear for awhile.
