I’m posting this on another board, too, so sorry if you see it twice. I couldn’t post last night, too tired, so now that I’ve thought about it, here it is, a little long.

Let me just start by saying how dreary the day was weather wise; it rained all day. Maybe that’s why Stevie opened with Outside the Rain.

We came up from lower Delaware & wound up in the middle of a police pursuit on I-95 while still in Delaware! We knew something was up when some troopers were on outside an exit ramp like they were waiting for someone. This big, white car came up on us very fast, then zipped by us on the left with about six state troopers in pursuit. Other troopers started coming. Then traffic suddenly stopped. It seems that the big, white car wrecked! Looks like he tried to cross over the grassy median & didn't quite make it. I do believe the men in the car were injured. A trooper in a K-9 unit was recording the whole thing on camera. Traffic was funneled into one lane as the police cars blocked the far left lane. Car parts were all over the road. Eventually we got through that only to get into more traffic after crossing into PA, & one other time after that. We didn’t get to the parking lot until 6:30 p.m. because hubby missed the first entrance in & had to drive around another way.

I brought in my digital camera which I used at a concert for the first time. I found out the zoom isn’t that great. My view of the stage was better than the camera took pictures of; they look way smaller. I even took a few pics of the big screen. So I was a little disappointed there.

The recording going into the Wachovia Center said something about that they changed their security measures, & that you will be wanded & may be subject to a pat down! I was like, OMG, I had my camera in an inside jacket pocket, but when we got in there, they just took your ticket, no searches. What a relief!

I was in the first level, Section 124 which mostly sat. The floor people stood. I didn’t want to get people mad at me, so I stay seated. I was kind of tired anyway, so I just rocked in my seat.

I don’t know if other things were there, but there were about four t-shirts ranging from $35 - $50. Too pricey for me; a Stevie Dream T, GDW T. Of course the $50 one was the prettiest one.

Don opened up the show & I knew this because none of Stevie’s tie thingys were on her mic, so I knew he’d be first.

1. Some song I don’t know the name of; never heard of it
2. Witchy Woman
3. I Put a Spell on You
4. Hotel California (w/Stevie) - Crowd goes crazy when she come out!)
5. New York Minute (w/Stevie)
6. Not sure what was next here, & Don was just an opener, he told the crowd. And of course he was b/c they were there to see Stevie, that’s for sure.
7. Boys of Summer
8. Heart of the Matter
9. Dirty Laundry
10. Life in the Fast Lane
11. All She Wants to Do is Dance
12. End of the Innocence (encore)
13. Desperado (encore)
Intermission (bathroom break, whatever break)
Intro - Bootylicious
Dreams Remix
1. Outside the Rain
2. Dreams
3. Rhiannon
4. Enchanted
5. Gold Dust Woman (w/Don)
6. The Circle Dance (w/Don, a Bonnie Raitt song they said)
-Stevie Band intros
7. Stand Back
8. Beauty and the Beast & I loved it!
9. Edge of 17; Sharon sang with Stevie at Steve’s mic for this I believe.
10. Stop Draggin My Heart Around (w/Don) (Encore)
11. Leather and Lace (w/Don) (Encore)
12. So You Wanna Be a Rock n Roll Star (w/Don) (Encore)

Don was dressed in a black suit. When Stevie first came out, she had on pants, looked like they laced up the sides. Couldn’t tell what shoes she had on too good. Had on the black dress during her set, hair down most of the time (could use a trim), up for B & T B, gold shawl for GDW something for different for Edge.

In general, though I like the Eagles, have a few of their Cds, like their songs, but I wasn’t too crazy over Don Henley. He didn’t introduce his band; I have no idea who they were & his one guitar player was really good & did interact with fans unlike Don. Don didn’t smile much & just didn’t look as into it as Stevie. Stevie rocked. She twirled, she smiled, she was very animated & she interacted with the fans. (especially during Eof17) During Edge, I did notice her stop & pose for pictures. She seems to appreciate her fans more & more nowadays. She hugged & kissed Don & flirted with him. (Watch out Mick & Lindsey-LOL.) I don’t know if Don enjoyed it or not. I’m thinking not. Maybe the people closer could tell, but Stevie did put her hand up to him during one of his songs & he licked a finger! He didn’t have a wedding ring on, so I don’t know if he’s still married or not. During L & L, Stevie playfully held up her lacey shawl & dangled it to Don & sang “Take from me my lace“. She said that she wanted to sing with him for some time & didn’t know if they ever would, but was glad she finally did. When she hugged him, she said that she gets to do this in front of 15,000 fans. (It was not a sellout; a lot of empty seats, but the crowd that was there was into it, me included.) Stevie came to life for Stand Back & Edge. It was a weird; a high for Stand Back, then a low for B & T B. You know, you're up, then down. The crowd was into these three songs. “Sing it Stevie”, for B & T B. I was so glad she sang this again as she did in Vegas b/c I wasn’t at any Vegas shows. Was surprised she sang Stop Draggin with Don. Just seemed weird. If I can think of anything else, I’ll post later. Maybe I’ll try putting my crappy pics up somewhere. At least you can see some of the crowd (LOL).

I would have rather have seen Stevie solo, but I’m glad I went b/c I really like her. I was really there to see her & support her. For you people who are on the fence about seeing her with Don, please go. You’ll have a good time regardless, I did. I’m glad I went.

Sorry about your rough ride in but you made it safely! Your review was great and I am glad that you had a good time. Too bad about your camera. :(
You made some interesting observations, too. I wonder if Don is still married?

IMO they have no business doing covers when they could perform The Highwayman, but I'm glad you had a good time. Thanks for the review.

I can't believe he sang Stop Draggin' My Heart Around with her. I guess hell really did freeze over.
