I need to get tickets for the FL shows- they go on sale tomorrow. Should I go to the mall and order them at the ticketmaster box office or should I just try my luck online? What has worked best for you?
Also, I heard that if you order them at the box office you can pick your exact seat (as opposed to just getting what pops up on the computer), is this true? And, I really want to get some great seats within the first few rows, any tips? I got third row for Vegas and it was pretty much perfect. I got the seat by ordering it the second it went on sale on ticketmaster. I'm hoping history will repeat itself so I don't have to play the waiting game and hold out until the last second for seats.

I have had no luck with Ticketmaster, period. You're asking, Is it better to get screwed online or in person? But I wish you luck anyway.

Neither... wait until the last week, then check online...

Yes, that is true... that's exactly what i did for my 5th row seat in Vegas :woohoo:

For Atlantic City, NJ, the best I got online was in the 18th row. After the "presale ended", best I got was on the first level.
I called and went through the automated process at the same time that I was checking online. With the phone call, I ended up in the 7th row. :-)
Good luck with your tix! :)

It's all a game with TICKETBASTARD. You just never know. Waiting a few days before the show has worked out better for me lately then the tickets I pulled up on the first day of the sale. However, for Stevie's Blossom show in Cleveland I preordered my tickets through a House Of Blue's presale and I got FRONT ROW.

Well this is discouraging! I long for the simple days of the Fleetwood Mac fanclub! LOL
In case anyone is interested, front row is poping up for the New Jersey show! Why can't I pull up front row for a show I was actually going to? Ahhhhhh!!!!

Is it evah!
I have never once gotten pit tickets on TM the day they go on sale (and I'm always RIGHT there at 10am sharp). But the past few shows I've gone to, I've gotten within the first 10 rows from TM. Mind you, for Detroit in a couple of weeks, I threw back crappy tickets 3 or 4 times before I got my 5th row centre. I've never had the guts to wait til the very last day.

Wait until a week or so before the show. That's when you'll find the best seats. They ususally have a release on the same day of the show too.

That would give me a fatal stomach ache and chronic nail bitting! Seriously, I'd be so nervous waiting that long, down to the wire...

I have gotten front and second row a few times waiting until the day of or the day before a show. I used to always snatch up something from TM when the tickets went onsale but it just doesnt pay. I was always upgrading and losing money. I have learned to be patient and I have NEVER gone without a seat. I can either find something on ebay or TM releases seats. Take the Philly and Holmdel shows. At the presale and the day they went on sale..nothing better than maybe eighth row showed up. The week of Vegas, front, second and fourth rows popped up for Philly..so I bought them then. Last night, front row for Holmdel popped up. You have to realize that TM holds back blocks of seats and brokers throw seats back into the pool that dont sell. Plus..anything that is not sold through the ILOVEALLACCESS thing would be given back to TM to sell. It usually always pays to have some patience. It is difficult but I have been to dozens of shows and always had close seats.

Yes...it worked. (you know I could have sweettalked you in to going...wink)
However, the thought of an hour long Stevie set and half the concert being Don Henley was quite enough motivation to not buy them. I kept saying to myself..."Stevie solo in Atlantic City vs Don Henley and Stevie in Holmdel"......AC won by a landslide.
In twelve hours we will be rocking out to some Stevie! Sweet.

Kelly-
That was good advice you just gave. I mean, I know that good seats always pop up, but I DIDN'T know that brokers and presale groups give their unsold tickets BACK to TM. That's good to know. It always makes me nervous waiting, because I always think the west coast shows are harder to get seats (good ones) for. You've helped me relax a little. Thanks!

I can't believe front row popped up for PNC and I didn't see it! I threw back 17th row on Tuesday because I felt that better seats would come...and now all I keep pulling up are lawn seats. Of course, I don't have a babysitter, but I'm sure I could bribe someone at the last minute, right???
Wish me luck getting seats, now I'm nervous....

Atlantic City with no Don or Holmdel with Don? Tough decision, Kelly. No Holmdel for me! I've got to be at work early on Sunday. My ass would be DRAGGING :distress:

This really sucks. I pulled up horrible seats to both Florida concerts. For the Miami show I didn't even pull up floor seats- they were all nosebleed section! And for the Tampa show I could only pull up 12th row towards the side of the stage. Now, I guess I will have to wait it out and check ticketmaster.com religously....
If I wasn't so spoiled with second and third row seats the last few times then I would have taken the 12th row seat, but that seems kind of far away now that I have had the "front row center" experience.

The better thing about TM online is you can keep searching, and keep searching, and the people might get mad in person if you tell them to keep searching for 3 hrs.lol

I have better luck online. For PNC tomorrow night, I just got 6th row (side, but hey, I'll take it!) after pulling up lawn seats all morning. For about 15 minutes, decent seats in the 100 sections were popping up. Now there is only lawn again, but I wouldn't be surprised to see better seats even tomorrow morning.

I pulled up front row for this show (but since I am not going I didn't buy it)....
I HAVE AN IDEA!!!!
There needs to be some kind of a system where if anyone on the Stevie board pulls up a front row seat for a show we just buy it and assume someone on the ledge will want to buy it from us. It is actually not a bad idea because as luck would have it you always pull up front row for shows you are not going to and never pull up front row for shows you are actually going to.

Well if you are patient with Ticketmasterbater  you can get lucky with some good seats...
Like for my Grand Rapids tickets, it took me an hour and a half to get 5th row seats after the website went down for "temporary maintenance" and I did order it on the day the presale started.
As for the fleetwood mac concert that came here last year...not as good of luck as we wanted down in the front...we ended up doing 2nd balcony seats not too far, but not too close to the stage... I ended up liking that though because you could see everything perfectly
So it just depends on the situation/day/whatever with them...
I heard going to the box office like 2-3 days before the show you can get pretty lucky...

I was just looking at some ticket brokers and they have first row available, for 800 dollars a seat!!!
I think that should be illegal. They steal all the best tickets and make an insane profit for doing nothing whatsoever. It's just very upseting!

Also Ticketmaster and often the promoter have a lot to do with the scalpers getting their tix...
I have done very well on Ebay in the past. For 5/23/04 Mac show I bought 3rd row tix on ebay for $360, for two tickets...not bad at all..and I actually ended up being front row at the stage
I also bought tickets in the 8th row for the Mac 2003 Memphis show, for only $260 for 2 tix, altho that event was cancelled eventually--but the broker on Ebay gave me a full refund...
trying ebay is always an option

How does ticketmaster benefit from giving tickets to the brokers? I think that whole thing should be illegal. All they do is resell tickets for 10 times as much as they are actually worth.
This whole thing stresses me out because I want great seats but it is sort of scary waiting until the last minute for tickets.

It's commonly known that Ticketmaster gives their employees first dibs on the tickets, for face value. Then the employees often sell them to brokers. Brokers will pay $200 for a $100 ticket from you, since they will be selling it for $500+ if it's really good..

I am keeping my fingers crossed for Mansfield! I want the first 5 rows. Yes, I am very picky! I put back 8th row the other day. I am looking for Sec 2 only. I had a front row ticket for The Mac when they came here last year and as luck would have it I pulled up 3rd row the day of the show. I hope that I have good ticket karma and can do that or better again!

Hey Pattie-
Remember last night you said you had front row for Vegas, but it sucked. What did you mean? Was it because everyone around you was sitting down for the whole show? I had third row towards the side of the stage and everyone stood the whole time. I thought, I would hate front row center because everyone sat the whole time. It was so obvious most of those seats were comped and the side sections were all the big Stevie fans/the Ledgies (because they stood and rocked out the whole time).

My seat was way off to the side and I could not see Stevie very well. The monitor blocked Stevie from the boobs down. You can sort of tell from the photos that I posted from the 5/10/2005 show. I got OK ones when some guy a few seats down from me went to get a drink. I HAD to stand because otherwise I would have not been able to see Stevie at all! Other then that guy I had some very cool people next to me at both the 5/10 and 5/11 shows! :D I agree with the front row poops and it was very apparent on the Tuesday night.

Were you on Waddy's side? I was on the side with Lori, Jana, and Sharon and I could see Stevie fine. I was second row and had an aisle seat though (which was perfect for Edge stage rushing!)

I had a ticket in sec 2 on Saturday and there was no monitor in the way over on that side. I kind of got ripped off on that Tuesday night show but getting to be right up front for Edge was worth it.
