I'm watching, more like just listening, to it now. Seems like a dumb move, though, broadcasting on network TV the same show about to be released on DVD? Wait a sec, didn't FM do the same thing w/ Live in Boston? D'OH!

I don't know. Might depend on how much NBC paid for the rights. I would hardly call NBC & PBS equal exposure though, especially considering that many of the PBS affiliates did not show any thing even remotely resembling a full show.

Whats with the Farewell 1?? What is there going to be a Farewell 2?

This is probably a chopped up version of the dvd...
I don't know... It's kind of mellow  Sounds good and looks good though.

I don't know...have to go look again...is that Scott Crago on percussion? And is that guitar player on the right the same guy who has been touring w/ Tom Petty?

I don't know the keyboardist. Maybe L&M will say. The guitarist next to Joe is Steuart Smith, an great talent. He's not Felder's "replacement" but he definitely holds his own on stage.
Joe is amazing on the slide. He totally makes Hotel California, along with Don Henley's vocals. But Joe is definitely the clown of the band and gets everyone on their feet. He has practically a cult following.
Funny to see Don looking scruffy!

I bet there will be some of their solo songs on that. For me, I don't know that it's better than Hell Freezes Over, because that was just totally a miracle. I think I'll buy this though- they all sounds great. I was thinking, Stevie could sing Desperato with Don as a close to her 10 shows with him. Their harmonies would be the best!

I read they were replaying it on some cable station. Maybe it was Bravo? Check your local listings or tvguide.com

I saw about an hour of it yesterday and was totally impressed with how great they sounded. Especially Don Henley. Of course, now that I know that OVERDUBBING is a bands ancient chinese secret to making them sound better, who know's if they're really that good.
On another note, they reminded me of Fleetwood Mac during the interview segments where they were talking about being at their personal best regarding their performances and musianship. They were almost saying the same exact things Lindsey, Stevie and Mick did in all their little interview segments.

No (see below). Scott Thurston is the "new" guy with the Heartbreakers...he used to be in The Motels. (he took Tim McGovern's place in the Motels when Tim left to form "Burning Sensations"...anyone remember "Belly Of The Whale"?)
I don't know the keyboardist. Maybe L&M will say. The guitarist next to Joe is Steuart Smith, an great talent. He's not Felder's "replacement" but he definitely holds his own on stage.
Not too shabby...but then he learned Felder's licks note-for-note off the albums. Pretty much anyone who's played guitar for three years can do that.
Joe is amazing on the slide. He totally makes Hotel California, along with Don Henley's vocals. But Joe is definitely the clown of the band and gets everyone on their feet. He has practically a cult following.
Considering he was already an established artist with multiple albums of his own under his belt (as well a couple of "hits" with his previous band The James Gang) BEFORE he joined the Eagles, yeah, I guess "cult following" would be an understatement.

is that Scott Crago on percussion?I didn't watch the show but Scotty Crago has been drumming for the Eagles for several years.
Does he sound better with them than he did with Stevie?

I wasnt real familar with the Eagles other then hearing their songs, and can say now that Joe Walsh rocks and Life's Been Good was by far the show's highlight. The rest of the Eagles really dont impress me much, but other real highlights were Take It Easy, Heartache Tonight, Already Gone and Hotel California. Don Felder is the better singer of him and DH. The only thing I can say for certain is John McVie is by far the better Base player!

I think you mean Glenn Frey, not Don Felder. Felder is no longer with the band.
