So shrub was in Rochester today to talk about Social Security...

Pretty standard crap speech - but one moment had me ROLLING!!!!!

Here it is...

On the panel of people talking about social security there was a 70 year old woman who receives benefits.

Well she said she's planning on getting her check for years to come and shrub says,

"That's good - you need to....80 is just around the corner....but you look great, you look about a hundred to me" She looked quite confused - and I'm pretty sure he meant that she looks good and will MAKE to 100 -but that's not what he said  I laughed for a good 15 minutes...."you look about a hundre to me" Gee - thanks a lot  idiot.

I just got some serious deja vu reading this...did he say something like this in the past to someone else? He says so many stupid things, it's hard to differentiate!

Holy sh*t, I would have peed myself! I got into an argument with my roommate while we were out on Saturday. She's no right winger but she is a Bush supporter. But she's not very articulate so she gets confused and makes emotional comments like "Don't you like living here?" when I criticize the government.

"You look about 100 to me." CLASSIC!!!

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."

Here's a relatively new one "But Iraq has — have got people there that are willing to kill, and they're hard-nosed killers. And we will work with the Iraqis to secure their future." —George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., April 28, 2005

Can Republicans really be happy that he's the chosen represenative? I mean surely that wouldn't feel so silly with a more articulate leader atleast. It's got to be a matter of pride but they honestly realise he's an idiot, right? Although one might argue that the inability to see the corrupt nature of the administration would go hand in hand with the inability to realise that Bush is an idiot.

I don't think most of them are, it's just the extremists that love him. Moderate republicans also seem dissatisfied, hence Bushie's 49% and dropping approval rating.

Fech, his job approval numbers were lower than that when he "won" the election in November.

I don't know that many Republicans  But one guy is a talk-show host here - and he was a speech writer for the senior Bush - he's now an author among many other things..

Anyway - he HATES HATES HATES Bush...HATES the Extreme right - and hates what the neocons are doing to the government :p

Well, though clearly not a liberal, at least Bush I was milder than the idiot we have now. Again, he is so irrelevant to these creeps that they did not even BOTHER to call him when they essentially evacuated DC a few weeks ago - it would have interrupted his bicyclying trip in the middle of a work day

My two favorite, Bushisms are :

(1) "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

I'm from TN, and I don't know what the hell he is talking about here. I know the old saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

(2) "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." —Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

God, isn't that the truth!

Also, I love David Letterman's "George W. Bush's Joke That Isn't a Joke." He has a whole segment along those lines almost every night. They are hilarious!

I have to say, depsite her marriage to an idiot, which is a hard hurdle to junp, I think Laura is okay and I even somewhat like her. I also think that she opposes her husband on many issues but chooses not to say so publicly, as most spouses do  Note - my liking her does not in any way validate W or his insane policies

Pickles? No thanks. She always looks like she just swallowed a laxative and is trying to prolong its effects. She dresses worse than Bea Arthur gone blind and every time she opens her mouth, something Stepford-ish and inane comes out. I truly wonder if she has an opinion on anything other than her husband being "attacked" by the media.

Darwin Was Wrong
Chimpanzees do not select the least intelligent and most hapless of the group to be their leader. They do not passively tolerate his ruining their standard of living and their environment. They do not mindlessly follow him off on a bloody crusade just because he spins fanciful yarns about bananas of mass destruction. Chimps are too smart to fall for such transparent nonsense.

When a gorilla goes around ignorantly grabbing the breasts of the lady gorillas, he does not subsequently win a special election to become Top Regional Ape, especially when none of the rest can understand what the hell he is trying to say. A gorilla who treats females with contempt incurs the wrath of the community and gets bitten and hit prior to being launched headfirst into a pile of hippo poop, which is exactly as it should be.

And the article continues at http://www.makethemaccountable.com/podvin/more/050517_DarwinWasWrong.htm

Well, I have heard her pretty much directly contradict him in a very nice way. As for dressing bad, etc., that is a litle unfair and a somewhat childish reason to hate someone  But, I think that you, like many, could never like any part of her because to do so would be somehow validate W. I judge her on her own and think she is funny and clever even though she is married to a boob

Laura Bush is definately medicated. She has the affect of a 1960's suburban valium housewife. In her defense if I was married to the creature that is her husband I'd be tempted to ingest all the Klonopin taken by Ms. Nicks during her 8 year bender in one night.

Squeeeeee, I didn't see her. I remember when I saw it at the movies and my jaw just dropped when she came onscreen singing Sparkling Diamonds. She looked stunning and I never knew she could sing. That? Was an entrance. And there are no words in the venacular to describe how much joy I get out of the Spectacular Spectacular "emergency rehearsal." And Like A Virgin, when Jim Broadbent is being chased by the Duke.
