Oh, and I got her ribbons (yes, the ones that travelled the world with her on the SYW tour!) from her mic stand that night (last night of the tour).

i had a moment with homegirl in vegas...

i also got the rose from her mic at the borgata show last fall. it lived happily in my fridge until !horrors! i left for a week and someone thought they were doing me a favor by cleaning my apartment and tossed it. i have since come to terms with it, i couldn't keep it forever. nonetheless, i will never speak to my father again.

I was close to her during a concert and that's it. That's all I want too, no urges to meet her. I find that whole experience, for me, is disenchanting, esp someone like Stevie. She is like a beautiful crystal that needs to be admired but never touched....but that's just me.

i have shook hands w/ stevie at every show i have seen since 1986, in '86 she held my face in her hand & said "i love you"~ the other times she said thank you or winked at me~ i was 1 of those faces like many of u who have seen multiple shows on multiple tours, so i think after awhile they start 2 recognize us somewhat~ anyways, any interaction w/ stevie is awesome!!!~

I've never "met" her, but I've had stage encounters with her and she knows *who* I am because of the comic book I made for her. :nod:
My encounters:
1.) She sang lyrics to me of ROF and WLT at House of Blues in LA in 1999. :woohoo:
2.) She took my hand during Edge in 2001 and motioned a kiss to me.
3.) She sang to myself and my girlfriend Kim during Sorcerer at Jingle Ball in 2001. SHe got a kick out of it cause we were in the 3rd row center, the only ones standing, and singing along the words with her. She seemed to be watching to see if we knew all the lyrics. She cracked up at various times because of this. :laugh: Best of all, we have it on TAPE! ;)
4.) I got hand squeezes during Edge in Vegas on friday and saturday night. ...sigh...that was only a week ago...I'm still high.

I HAVE to meet her! I REALLY tried in Vegas too. I went over to the left side of the stage on saturday night after the show cause I saw people gathering over there. Once I found out they were going back, I frantically was trying to think of something legit to say to the security people. They were checking names off a list. I dropped a name of a marketing person that I spoke with at Caesar's (didn't work - I simply wasn't on the list so I wasn't going back) and then I even tried asking Al Ortiz who was standing there (who I had run into 3 times before that). He told me that it was beyond his control and it was hard enough to get his girlfriend's dad back there because of it being a "casino thing". That's what sucks about Vegas gigs- the "casino thing"! :mad: After giving up, I stood there for a second and got to hear them say "ok, we're taking the casino people back first!" and I watched as about 20 lucky people that looked like they could really care less be led backstage. Man did that burn my ass. I saw 2 other groups that looked like they were going back too after that. Funny, cause if they were real fans wouldn't at least ONE of them have posted SOMEWHERE that they got backstage by now? Either here or any other FM/Stevie website thread for that matter?? :cool:

I've met them before and Destiny Galleria is near me (I haven't made it over there yet). I did see them on Tuesday night and yes, they're big fans. I've seen Kathy all over creation at the concerts i've been to.
