Wait it out. Good seats start showing up the closer to the show.

I've been awake since 0400 this morning, not being able to sleep, just to jump on it at 10:00. I'm having withdrawls.....

I think I'm gonna wait until a few days before the show. I've never done that before, but I pray to God some good seats come out. They have Row F (12th row actually) on Ebay for those wanting to pay 150 bucks a pop. Whatevah dude.

Um...why not wait? NO ONE gets good seats through the presale. I looked for Phillys and also when they went onsale and the best I pulled up was like ninth row. That is no good for me. I tossed them back. A month later, last week actually, first and second and fourth row came up on Ticketmaster so I bought them. WAIT until the roll out the second batch of seats and keep checking. I checked every day. One day I was getting row 20 and the next day first row came up. I have never gotten tickets through the presale or the first TM release that I ended up using.

..not only because I have Kelly's other second row ticket but from past experiences of my own with Fleetwood Mac. I even scored front row the day of the Camden show. You guys will all be fine. The method to TM's madness is they want to fill up the place. They sell **** seats and the good seats in batches. I've no doubt something will pop up for you guys.

I didn't think Ticketmaster did that.

Also, what if you inadvertently wait it out until the show's sold out and you don't have any tickets at all?

That's a good point. I learned my lesson! Although, said lesson does not, I repeat NOT apply to Tom Petty tix...

A show is rarely sold out even if it's been advertised as such. Also keep in mind tickets that band members are alloted (which are normally great seats) are sent back into the ticket pull the day of.

I wish I'd known y'all to talk to when I was getting tickets for shows in the past! Maybe Reba McEntire wouldn't have been the size of her picture on her CD covers!

Sweetheart..stevies shows do not sell out these days. If you buy when they first go onsale..you are stuck with them and will have to sell them. I went to 13 or 14 SYW shows so I am giving you the best advice I can. WAIT. Do not buy when they first go onsale unless you pull up a row you want.
Do you know that first rows came up for Vegas the day before the shows? It always happens. You have to have patience. It is hard and at first I always used to grab the first thing. That was such a mistake. I ended up losing money, selling for less than face. There is alway ebay too.

You think? I hope. The Greek is pretty small, and I think there's also hella (stop saying hella!) Black Crowes fans around here. But, yeah, I didn't even think of going there, der. And, for once, I actually can! It's right by my house!
Good plan, GSG...

Always, always wait for Tom, trust me, but try to be the first folks hanging out at the box office the day of the show.

Okay so about the tickets... If you wait the day of the show do you buy them online or do you just go anyway and buy them at the box office? I'm so confused... :distress:

I've had luck with presales before...you just have to be like the first person to get them lol

My first stevie concert I got 10th row, which really isnt all that bad, it's a good view. Except when you have some idiot dancing in front of you through the first four songs spilling his beer.

Believe it or not I pulled front row for Milwaukee Summerfest. If section 2 AA is front row then I did it by luck of the draw. I took a chance and it was the first I pulled so I took it.
You just never know what will happen and I agree there are usually tickets and good seats the night of the venue. I had 25th row for Vegas and asked about an upgrade once there but it wasn't worth the hassle. About a week before Vegas I tried Ticketmaster and pulled 7th row but there policy is they will not trade or upgrade.

Good Luck!

Try both. Ticketmaster can send a printable ticket via email. If you're close enough to the box office try there. I'd start checking about a week before the venue.

Tracey -

Sec. 2 Row AA will be 25th row, center. Great seats, but not front row. The best I pulled for this presale was Row T.

For the Riverbend show I actually pulled Sec. 300 row A (6 rows back from the stage)... should've bought them, but decided to try my luck with Milwaukee. *sigh*

I've gotten 2nd, 3rd row for several shows a few/the day before a show. It's really, really hard to wait that long to get Stevie tickets, though... panic sets in the closer the show gets and I don't have tickets in hand!

Good luck to everyone with ticket purchases! I can't believe she's touring this summer. Wonder if she'll swing through Indy?

As I just posted in another thread, most of the seats on the Grand Rapids presale were pretty junky, most of them towards the back...

There was one for the center section row 22 but it seemed to me that there had to have been something more closer...

After about 45 min of dinkin around on ticketmaster, they went down for "maintenance" which I immediately thought they were opening more seats...

And sure enough I was able to snatch 5th row floor left section, I'm excited

Presale Requirements: Fast-Typing/Mouse Clicking Capabilities, and loooots of patience.

Good luck to everyone on the presales!

210 bucks well spent, mom and I are goin woohoo! (the tickets were 97.50 + fees)
