Geez - everyone is being diagnosed with breast cancer these days!!

Our Albany capitol reporter just got diagnosed :distress: so sad...stupid cancer. :mad:

It's been all over the news in the UK all day..

She's a tough, healthy little lady and she will no doubt have access to the best professional care and assistance.

I wish her a speedy recovery and I'm sure we will see those hotpants on stage once more.. :thumbsup:


p.s. Met her sister Dannii once a few years back ( :p )

I know for a fact she'll get the best treatment and will be just fine. All the same, I wish her all the best and to be healthy very soon. :)

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo immediate treatment, her management team said.

Her tour of Australia was postponed following the announcement.

A statement from Minogue's management said the 36-year-old's diagnosis was confirmed this week during a visit to the southern Australian city of Melbourne.

"Whilst at home in Melbourne with her family this week prior to her Australian Showgirl Tour, Kylie was diagnosed with early breast cancer," the statement said.

In the statement, Minogue said: "I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans. Nevertheless, hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon."

The Showgirl Tour was to have included performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth over the next month

i heard this on the radio earlier, i wonder if she's going to push the issue (in a good way). her apology seemed a little odd to me. you're apologizing for having to postpone a tour so you can receive treatment for cancer? no apologies needed. i love kylie, she's such a sexy creature...

She's wonderful and we are all in shock. It is funny that she apologised to the fans though for postponing, but that's Kylie...always the showgirl.

I think she will push the issue, and she would be a very useful figurehead for a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

i think she will 2, they said she is already an advocate 4 cancer, cuz it is prevelant in her family, her dad was recently diagnosed w/ a form of cancer i heard also~ they caught it early, so i am hoping 4 a 100% recovery~

I read on MSN this morning that she's undergoing surgery "later this week". It said things look good, and that the cancer hasn't spread. It also talked about how great her boyfriend is for postponing a trip to L.A. so he could stay with her...
