I am curious to see what shows my fellow Ledgies are going to. I am not seeing the Stevie/Don concert this year due to the inflated ticket price but I am going to see Def Leppard in June and tickets go on sale shortly for Journey so those are my two shows so far for this year.

Definite: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the Sleep Train Ampitheater. Just waiting for the tix to go on sale. Have been a fan since I was eight years old but have only been to one of his concerts. :(

Possible: Mellencamp and Fogerty. I love John Fogerty but I don't think I could bring myself to buy a ticket with Mellencamp's name on it. I can't stand him. :sorry:

I already saw Garbage, and I'm going to see Tom Petty and Juliette and the Licks. That's about it, unless Blondie tours this summer and Franz Ferdinand tours to support their new album in late summer/fall. I'm not a Henley fan at all, he bugs the **** out of me, so I won't be seeing him with Stevie.

After spending an obscene amount on four Stevie shows, I'm not sure if I'll see her with Henley. He's an ass. Period.

I might go to Tom Petty since he always puts on a great show, and Judas Priest w/ Queensryche.

I also got Pat Benetar tickets, but those were free.

Tom Petty for sure. Stevie and Don if I can come up with enough money to get to and stay in Chicago. I'd like to see the Rolling Stones, but there ticket prices are too high.

Forgot- also Oasis at UIC Pavilion next month.

I just checked the tompetty.com site yesterday and no date was listed for the sale. The shows at the greek are already on sale, but I don't want to go to Berkley, I'd rather go to Marysville. Hmm... guess I'll check ticketmaster.com

Revision - I'm not going to see Petty. The only seats left are either really ****ty or way overpriced (some as high as $516!!! WTF happened to his respect for his fans?). Unless by some miracle I can get good seats at a not too outrageous price on Ebay. This is bull****.

<i>If you reach back in your memory

If you stretch your imagination
I'll tell you all a tale

I don't see any good shows coming to my area so I am not going to see anyone. I doubt that I will go to see Stevie with Don unless I pull up front row but even then I don't know.

I'm considering seeing Sarah McLachlan this Sunday - but I'm not sure...I'm a real cheapskate these days..

I'd love to see Stevie but again - the cheap factor comes into play...

If I'm to splurge on one show this summer it's going to be MACCA!!!!!

Well so far for 2005..

Saw Velvet Revolver back in January in Manchester, UK. They were pretty good indeed..

Off to see Mark Knopfler for 2 nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London in a couple of weeks and then I'm going to see our local boys Oasis play at the City Of Manchester Stadium in June which should be (in the UK at least) THE concert of the year.. :]

:wavey:

yeah they are still together and from what I heard of the new songs today they are more together than they have been since about 1995..

Plus the addition of Zak Starkey on drums has kicked things up a notch..

All the UK shows sold out in about 2 hours on the day of ticket release and they are planning to hit America and do it right this time around..

So far I'm seeing:

Willie Nelson (am waiting for tickets)
Lyle Lovett (general seating)
George Jones (front row)

Strange how it seems to be a country run these next few concerts. But more will pop up I'm sure. I go to a lot of shows.

i was just offered a free ticket for Faithless' concert next month, but i can't go, they are one of my all time favorites, and i only saw them live once, and even that was 6 years ago. :( but then again, it's not like someone's forcing me to spend the summer in the Hymalaias and miss out on all the summer concerts.

We are fortunate in the UK that we have a lot of big artists and most top U.S. artists tour here too.. Plus the small size of the country means it's great for getting to gigs..

In July we have Queen with Paul Rodgers and REM playing Hyde Park in London on consecutive nights which will be cool..

Don's only doing the first 10 shows - I believe what keeps happening is that the tentative Henley/Nicks shows that were on the books after June 19 (the last Henley show) are now either being cancelled or rescheduled as Stevie solo dates - either exactly, or close to, the original dates since concert treks usually follow the same path (begin north/northeast, then south, southwest, west, northwest).

The Beach Boys-6/10 at the Mountain Winery?

Kind of a misnomer...Mike Love is the only actual "Beach Boy" in the Beach Boys these days; ok, Bruce Johnston, too. I've heard from Beach Boy fans that there are some "tribute" bands that are actually BETTER than the unit that is touring AS the Beach Boys these days. In fact, their suggestion is to keep an eye out for Al Jardine's Family & Friends Band, and see them; they're supposedly far superior to "Mike Love's traveling travesty" (their words, not mine)

Just thought I'd pass that along, if you didn't already know that stuff.
