For any gearheads on here that's actually a Turner Model 2, take a good look because they are a rare breed.

I don't think Rick has built more than 15 or 20 in the last 26 years..

From what I recall Lindsey didn't really get a feel for it like the Model 1 although its technically very similar except for a second pickup and minor electronic differences.. I think this one was built during 1980..

Good catch, Justin!

Also note the jack is next to the bridge on the top (like a Gibson ES-335) instead of on the side (like a Gibson Les Paul). That's how you can tell if a Turner M1 or M2 was made in the first go arounds in the late 70's/early 80's...Rick made the change when he started making them again in the mid-90's

Yup, and Lindsey had all his early Model 1's, three I believe (quote from Rick I got in an email from him back in December 2003 : " LB has 5 of them, two as described and three
older ones...one with a walnut peghead and no logo, and two with the lion
and block letter "Turner"). changed by having Rick plug the hole in the top, move the jack plug socket to the side of the guitar and at the same time he moved the passive tone control up and back and filled the hole for that too... If you have a good eye you can spot the fillings on "The Dance" DVD when you get some close ups..

Sorry for the anal post but somebody somewhere just might be interested!

I'm no guitar head, but that's very interesting stuff. I need to go watch the Dance again...and look for those fills. Perhaps Lindsey should give them that busted up Model 1 from London to display somewhere.

Since the Hard Rock in NYC on 57th does not have one shred of Mac in their halls, I hope when the Time Square locale opens that we see something Fleetwood Mac preferably LB there.

We saw one of Lindsey's guitars at the Hard Rock in Vegas, I will scan and post a picture tomorrow since it's getting late.

It is along the hallway entering the hotel from the parking garage's elevator and just outside of the casino, accross from the HR store.

What does the plaque say? Just blah, blah, this is Lindsey Buckingham's guitar, who is the lead singer/guitarist for Fleetwood Mac who joined the band in 1974 along with then-girlfriend, Stevie Nicks who's own song, Rhiannon, opened the door for her a decades-long look of wearing black and chiffon.

Yawn. LOL OMG, I bored myself.

Sesly, do you know what the plaque says?

Looks like a guitar from the mid 1990's given the look of it, (Rick changed the shape and other boring details I won't go into! )..

I'd say at a guess it was one used during the Dance Tour..

Okay, the plaque said: Turner "Model 1 Lindsey Buckingham"

This guitar was built for Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac by Rick Turner. Lindsey used it for 7 years before retiring it for a lightweight model of the exact same guitar. The Model 1 is among the most innovative guitars of the modern era and its understated beauty can't be denied. It's no wonder that Lindsey uses it exclusively. Turner has built instruments for the Grateful Dead, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, John McVie, and others too numerous to list here.

Sadly, I did not get to visit the HRC in Vegas. It was just too far! I would have loved to see anything LB related, too! Thanks for posting that pic! The HRC in Tampa, FL has some LB things. Alex posted them a few months ago! Now to get something of his in Boston and Foxwoods!

My roommate Anita had her car so she drove us over there, so spoiled. Yeah, Boston needs some of his stuff. I haven't been there in so long. Would you believe there were no Stevie things anywhere? There was one FM drum head signed by everyone but it was all faded.

Well that's horse**** on the plaque......

Ed Roman, proprietor of World Class Guitars, now based in Las Vegas has been quoted here.. His purpose is to sell guitars, and he's very good at it too.. LB using it for 7 years might be the case, Roman did have an "LB owned" guitar on his site as well that he was trying to sell for $17,000, possibly it's this one... Although I have it on very good information this was the "picture" guitar used in photoshoots because it was the least beat up and wasn't one he really used or liked to play... Same guitar? Wonder if HRC own it now? I'll dig out some pics and look at the grain pattern on the top to see if they match..

I do know for a FACT because Rick Turner told me, that Lindsey still uses the heavier, full mahogany Model 1's. Rick does a chambered, lighter weight version but Lindsey doesn't use it. Rick also does a Model 1 Lightweight, which is an awesome guitar but so far LB has not used one in public. I think Ed wants to push the lightweight model because Rick has said so, any coincidence here??? ;)

There is a blue Stevie dress right near the 'Rest Room" signs  and a Rick Vito guitar at the one in Boston. No Lindsey stuff however. :distress:
