"For the real died-in-the-wool fans, there will be stuff pulled out of the archives that they're just going to love," Nicks promised, mentioning "Stand Back" and "Beauty and the Beast" as two examples. "I'm trying to find some really special things. 'Talk to Me' is my favorite video, and I haven't had that song in my set in a long time. I might open with that. And 'Dreams' ... it's the one song that has been in every set I've ever done since it was written. It never comes out."

Wish I hadn't read that since I wanna go in blind, but I am definitely a happy boy right now! :D <--- like that guy!

Wow, I'll bet Stevie was sneezing for days, dusting off all those rare items from the archives! :D :D

Hopefully, she didn't give up before stumbling upon "Landslide!"

Seriously, sounds like she's really looking forward to these shows and wants to make something nice for her fans, which earns her a double thumbs up and a blue blob.

  :blob2:

Last September, Nicks, 56, came off the road after playing 135 dates with Fleetwood Mac's "Say You Will" tour, and planned to take the year off. But the chance to perform at Caesars was a dream come true, so to speak.

"I get to put all my energy into the actual show—not into packing and getting onto airplanes," she said. "This makes it easier to continue to be an entertainer until I'm a little old lady."
------------

Somebody needs to tell Stevie that she's playing dates with Don Henley the entire month of June. I'm really wondering if she even knows based on the above.

Maybe she means video-wise? I remember her not being the biggest fan of the Civil War version of the video but perhaps she'll pull that out? I'm totally stoked about Talk To Me :D

I'm not so upset I'm not going if the big suprises includes crap like Talk to Me. Beauty and the Beast is slightly more exciting, but still not blowing me away. How Still My Love, Kind of Woman, Nothing Ever Changes, Sable on Blonde, Long Way to Go, Gold and Braid, or Blue Lamp will all make me go WOW. But the stuff thats been leaked, Eh Not So Much

Yeah, well, if she's gonna do the "video songs", then let's hope that she doesn't forget that she did videos for "I Can't Wait", "Blue Denim", and "Sometimes It's A Bitch".. :p

I doubt it. She had that video thrown in the trash can because she thought she looked too fat.

Not to sound like a "casual fan", but I'm excited to hear 'Talk To Me'. Last time I saw it performed was the Street Angel tour, which was my first live Stevie experience ever, so I couldn't really appreciate it.

I'm also hoping for 'Rooms On Fire', just cuz I'd love to see the video on the big screen...

You and me both, Neil... I don't remember too much of that Street Angel show, but hearing the boots that came out afterwards, she sounded VERY strong on "talk to me".. i just hope she can come close to that kind of vocal if she does perform it this time around...
"Rooms On Fire" would be incredible, cuz i've never seen her perform it live either (having missed the Vegas shows in 1999).
I also wouldn't rule out "Whole Lotta Trouble", considering it was also a video song and it has that big time "vegas-feel" to it.. ;)

I've heard about other songs on the set list for Vegas, but I will keep my mouth shut so others will be surprised. :oI think you'd be ok to post what you heard, Curtis -- the thread title does say "Possible Spoilers." So anyone who's avoiding spoilers, would know going into this thread what it contains.

Beyond that, you can always use the spoiler tag to hide the info for extra added protection... and then it can only be seen when it's purposefully highlighted.

So... spill it!!!
Please.
Thank you.

I think he's refering to The private show the legacy reported on, where she performed a warm up, 1 hour 55 minute show. The only songs this guy remembered not being a big fan at all were:.

I Need To Know
If Anyone Falls
Beauty & the Beast
Stop Draggin My Heart Around
Stand Back
Rhiannon
Gold Dust Woman
Landslide

Again so far nothing has come close to wowing me. If "If Anyone Falls" is a big suprise, I'll pass on big suprises and just take Rhiannon

I'm happy to hear she's doing "If Anyone Falls" and "Beauty And The Beast" again.

I guess because I don't go to shows or really collect many of the bootleg concerts, I don't get as sick of the setlists as others do. I usually only seek out one or two from any given tour, and usually only if they're radio broadcast or soundboard quality.
So I don't really get sick of "Dreams" or "Rhiannon."

Not that I don't absolutely love it when they pull out something extremely rare, like "Beautiful Child," though.

And I'm sure everyone going to Vegas will have an awesome time, regardless of whether the setlist has many surprises or not.

POSSIBLE*SPOILERS*

You've been warned

Alright. I was just listening to the radio here in Vegas, and they were playing an interview with Stevie. She mentioned playing "In the Still of the Night" (her words not mine) and Beauty and the Beast w/ video from the movie. She also talked about the tour with Henley, which is the first time I've heard her mention it.

She has always referred to that song with that title...never the album title. It's a little confusing...especially since 'In The Still Of The Night" was a huge hit in the 1950's.

I bought that 1946 version of Beauty and The Beast after reading Stevie had gotten inspiration from it. It's a great movie, and I was hoping that she was going to use footage from it for Vegas. If you guys haven't seen it, you should. I'm definitely gonna watch it again before I leave on thursday! :D

Thanks for posting the info CreepingDeath!!

Jimmy Iovine, the Powers That Be at Modern... to change it.
Perhaps they thought it could be a potential single, and didn't want to cause confusion.

No matter what the reason, I don't believe I've ever heard Stevie refer to it as "How Still My Love."

I have a VERY strange feeling she will sing "Crying in the Night" from BN. TO support my theory, I note the nicksfix has it today listed as the "name that song" and she has always wanted to do a BN song. Plus, how cool would it be in the retrospect to show a video from the BN era. So, we shall see, but remember, you heard it here first

She didn't give too many details about the tour, except that she and Henley will be doing songs together in eachothers set and then something at the end. She seemed really excited about it though.

She also mentioned that HAEWAFY will be in the Henley set, but NOT in Vegas.

Weird that's one of my all time favorites, and a Stevie show NOT ending with that song would be totally odd to me

Yes!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this would be a great closer!!! After a loud rockin' finale, she could come out, with the lights on, with a simple stipped down band, very intimate, and sing " It's late, we got to get on home....hope this won't be our last date." An inspired, perfect ending "If I do say so myself."

I hope that neither song makes it to Vegas. Those are two tired old warhorses that need to be permanently retired.

If she wants to rock the house howzabout-

"Violet and Blue"
"Nothing Ever Changes"
"Long Way to Go"
"Blue Denim"
or
"Love Is Like A River"

Something new and refreshing, please.

I know she's going to do "Stand Back", though  yawn.... Maybe she'll get Rod Stewart to sing a verse or two....

I like your song ideas. "Violet and Blue" and "Nothing Ever Changes" are two songs I dream of hearing live someday.
