View Full Version : The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Can't wait till it comes out here... I've been re-reading the books since I heard the movie would be coming out. Lots of personal faves on the cast: Sam Rockwell, Stephen Fry, Bill Bailey..
meanwhile,http://www.thefilmfactory.co.uk/hitchhikers/global/ is one of the funniest sites for movies I've seen so far :D
no, I'm not being paid for all this advertising

I SO want to see this movie - I was going to go with a friend last weekend - but he backed out and opted to rent something instead
I found out that night that he's got some weird obsession with Roger Ebert (who gave it a less than stellar review) so he didn't want to see it.....

I saw it this weekend. I have never read any of the books or anything, so I was pretty confused. I LOVE Martin Freeman, so I'm so excited for him to be in such a big movie.
Sam Rockwell, as always, kicks ass. He's completely awesome in the movie.

He depends on Roger Ebert when it comes to movies? Weirdo. Ebert wouldn't know how to write a review if his life depended on it.

I KNOW!!! I never depend on any critics as to what I'm seeing in the theater - I like to formulate my opinions...but hey to each their own...
Still I was so annoyed when he told me this was the reason he crapped out of the movie....I should have known something was up when at the rental place I recomended "Spanglish" and he was like..."Oooh Roger Ebert gave it two thumbs up - we should get that movie" lol....

I loved Spanglish! Chloris Leachman alone was worth seeing it.
But Roger Ebert sucks.

Roger Ebert has two thumbs up his own ass. Anything with Adam Sandler is bound to be a dog. Besides, this is the man that gave Van Helsing three bloody stars.
