For those of us who are not going on opening night to Vegas, are you going to sneak a peak of the setlist or wait and be suprised? I am going to the Friday and Saturday shows, so I don't know if I will be able to resist temptation for three days. I really want to though for the element of suprise (but then I am thinking... what if I am really disapointed in the setlist? LOL) Just want to get people's thoughts on this and see what other people are planning on doing.

"I don't wanna know... the reasons why I love you!" Do you think the official setlist will be posted on nickfix? I'm really hoping they don't post anything because I don't want to spoil the surprise. I knew the whole set list for the Say You Will tour and wish I went in blind.

Hey Christopher-
I too, am going to the friday and saturday shows and I DO want to know the set list! One reason being, I want to know if she's doing Edge of 17, and if security lets a few rows up for the traditional hand shakes. Plus, knowing the set list lets me get geeked up for exactly which songs she's gonna be doing! ;) So, those of you going to the tues and wed shows, please post!! :D

she will absolutely do "Edge"... now whether security will let peeps run up to the stage, that's another issue... but they better!

Yup, of course she will do Edge. Jana even mentioned being excited to do this song in Vegas so it is pretty much confirmed. Plus, what is a Stevie Nicks concert without her most popular/recognizable solo song of all time?

If she does I will cry!!! Another good reason not to look at the setlist. That way I don't get my hopes up... knowing my luck she will cut my favorite song from the show. I hope you are wrong though. However, it sounds like she may be doing a few rare songs and knowing Stevie these last about one day and then she decides to stick to what's tried and true.

I'm not sure about cutting songs for these shows, mainly because there is probably gonna be a lot of elaborate production put into each one, with the huge video screens and all. I can't wait to see if she is actually going to walk around with the mic, like she said she'd "have to" due to the size of the stage during the Jim Ladd interview! Stevie WALKING around with a mic?! Now THAT'S gonna be WEIRD!!

It'll be exciting having her walk around with the mic. I feel thrilled to be able to go to these shows and see something that will no doubt be really special! I feel like I have missed out on so much (Stevie-wise) and am just so excited to be a part of something that she has never done before. I can't wait, I can't wait!!!

I'm going to the Friday show, but not leaving until Thursday so will be around for the first round of reviews... And I want to know... NO you don't  ... Yes I do want to know... NOOOOO... YOU DON'T!!!!

See... I'm sort of mixed on knowing what she's playing... But I have a feeling I won't be able to resist the temptation of looking.

Even if she dropped some songs, unless it's something I REALLY wanted to hear live... I probably wouldn't even know it until after when I've had a chance to really absorb what I just saw!

I'm not even going , and I'm like so excited to see reviews, see pics and hear audio! I feel like Stevies coming out with a new CD or something..totally corny I know..but its just been so damn long since she's sang like EDGE OF 17 , etc

It's so cool to see a young fan like you so excited about seeing Stevie in Vegas! I am sure it will be fab!
The first time I saw Stevie, it was a Fleetwood Mac concert at the Los Angeles Forum in December of 1979 when I was just 16 years old! I will never forget the sound of that voice, cause, as you know they are so LOUD.
Have a great time!!

Yeah, that is what I want to see. Stevie walking around with the mic! I heard from a fellow Ledgie that the stage is just massive had that Stevie is going to have to do something very different then she normally does. This is really going to be interesting to see. I am sure that this Ledgie will post someplace about their Las Vegas experience. It might give us a few heads up about the venue.
Anyway that is why I had to go opening night. I just hate to wait! If I was not going then yes I would want to know what the set list is. I hate a surprise. I like to know what is going on.

I'm sure someone is gonna do that though.. there are too many people on here that are going...

I don't have a laptop and I wonder if I will have a WebTV type thing in my room. I am going to be in trouble if I can't get online. I am going to see if any of the hotels has a place where I can at least go online for a bit. I think that someone might bring a laptop to report ir maybe someone from the Vegas area can report back to The Ledge.

I saw plenty of internet cafe's when I was in Las Vegas in 2001. Be careful about going on the internet in hotel rooms. Some places charge a fortune! I remember Scott Plunkett telling me he had been stung with a huge bill for net use!

Maybe she'll have one of those headphone mics. And I wonder if for the "big production" numbers she'll have a huge treadmill so she can reenact the Stand Back video? :)

Congrats! Where are you registered?

Sesly - I doubt there will be any changes unless something gets screwed up real bad & doesn't go over well or she hates the way it sounds.

I'll be there T&W, but if were going F&S, I decided I would want to be surprised. I didn't know the setlist before my Dance show. The LA rehearsal in 2003 either (although the rumour was out that they were going to do BC.) I LOVED not knowing until they started playing, what a RUSH!

And Pattie - most hotels do have internet kiosks, but it's very pricey (by the minute, or 5 minutes or something.)

I am reading some of these threads and wondering if people think Stevie has had a complete personality transformation. Changing sets? I think she lacks the confidence. All of the new songs predicted in the other thread...perhaps a few but I would bet my right arm at LEAST one will be dropped or replaced by the second night. Elaborate stage show? I predict some nice costumes, hats, boas...perhaps she will take the mic off once or twice. As far as the video screens..I think it will be very similar to what the Mac did...for some songs they might show photos or music video clips or drawings or something like that. For most of the songs...it will be a close up of her singing. I do not think the fact that there are screens will impact what songs she choses to drop though. They can always replace a clip with her close up of her singing. I think she will be on fire and look beautiful. I predict nice gorgeous colorful new dresses with boots and hats. I predict some awesome old photos and video clips. I predict some interesting variations to old songs, similar to Leather and Lace from Belladonna HBO. However...this is still Stevie we are talking about and I cannot see her doing something completely unexpected like Sisters from Mirage or Gold n Braid from Belladonna HBO..unfortunately. Whatever she does..I will LOVE it and give her mad props for anything new she tries.

I agree with you, Kelly. She may shock us (ala Enchanted Tour) but I think it will be one or two "different" songs, at most. I don't really think she'll be walking around with the mike, either. I understand the stage is big & all, but the woman hasn't done that in 30 years of performing - will she really start now? Won't it be too weird for her?

Not that I care one tiny bit. ;) She can sit in a rocking chair & sing Stand Back, Edge, Dreams & HAEWAFY & I'd probably go see her.

Hopefully, someone in their right mind will film the shows and we can have a new live DVD soon.
Chances of Ms Nicks doing anything other than the occasional twirl or little kick and be more like the rocker she once was are, in my opinion, highly unlikely.
And, please, please, please, get rid of those ugly orthopedic boots! She doesn't have to wear platforms, but good grief, there are better looking, comfy black shoes out there!

I am going Friday and Saturday, and for once I am not going to peek.
I don't want to be bitter over the songs dropped. But, I do suspect that I will hear people talking about what songs were in the set list earlier in the week. We'll see how in the dark I will be able to keep myself.

ehhh, but you know she's gonna do the usual "dreams", "rhiannon", "gdw" crap... ok, well, they're not "crap", but we're all soooo tired of those songs at this point... actually, 10 years ago, we were tired of them.. doesn't she know this?

"I have to give the fans what they want." Yeah, and you do that enough times, you end up a caricature of yourself and then find the only gigs you get are on oldies reunion tours and Vegas shows...

I wish she and FM would take their ques from performers like Nanci Griffith and Mary Chapin Carpenter who will do just about any song at any time during their tours. They are always pulling songs out of their catalogs that you don't expect along with doing mostly the new stuff they just released. "Oh, if we do too much new stuff, then the fans would loose interest." Lookit, if you are counting on your dinosaur fans who won't buy your new stuff because all they want to hear is Rhiannon because that was on the radio while they were making out in the back seat of their parents car, then maybe they should get left behind... Buh bye... :wavey:

I've never heard Standback on the radio and I hear Edge every single time I turn the radio on! I guess it just depends on what your local radio stations like... And I know this sounds silly but everyone and their mother saw that "School of Rock" movie (at least people my age) and it turned a lot of people that I know on to that song.

The first time I saw Fleetwood Mac I was 14 (this Vegas trip is my 17th birthday present from my parents... it took a lot of begging though!) and I remember I was beaming- I could not stop smiling and my mouth was hurting because I couldn't wipe that grin off my face! Even though the seats were horrible I didn't care, it was the best night of my life! I remember Standback being the most energetic insane thing I had ever witnessed live. Stevie was twirling and doing her kicks and it was amazing.
