So a bunch of Ledgies are departing tomorrow right?

We'll miss y'all around here.....but will be waiting for a full Vegas report...don't pull and of that "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" crap :laugh:

Hey, I wouldn't mind leaving now...fine by me :D I just keep reminding myself...I have to make it from tomorrow to Saturday and i'm home free (I have off today). Ahhh...Vegas...you are a much needed trip.

We'll check in at Caesar's, then scope the place for Stevie. :nod: I'm so glad I am going to these shows because it looks like Stevie's not going to be hitting the west coast with Don. :distress: Thanks for the well-wishes! :)

I leave this Sunday May 8th which is my birthday! :blob2: I still have a few things to do too. I just changed my hotels around a bit yesterday.

Since I could not find anyone to go with my mom had to give our tickets away. My mom could not go due to work, my sister, and some grand jury thing. All my other family members were either busy or just couldnt go.

I have a list in Word on my PC and you just reminded me that I need to get some sunblock like 50 SPF. :lol: I am waiting for a box of contact lenses and a 512MB Secure Digital card to come too. I can't leave before I get those!

What does "secure digital card" mean? I know I'm going to wish that I had more than one card when I am out there but I just cannot afford another. I do have 512 but I also have video capability on my camera. Maybe I can get my old laptop set up for this, although it might even be too old to have a USB :eek:

I got a tip from my boss today, well a couple. She said the buffets at the Bellagio and Paris are good. Also, the monorail stop at the MGM has shops and a Fat Tuesdays which makes fantastic frozen drinks. :thumbsup: Also, Travelocity offers a free Vegas survival kit that I can pick up at the airport. I have no idea what will be in that!

A secure digital card is just the type of media that my camera uses to store the photos and video clips. There are a few different kinds, like Compact Flash, Smart Media, etc. It just depends on what type your camera uses. I got one that writes and reads the data at a fast rate, too. I can't deal with slow cards and if I am even going to attempt to take any Stevie photos I am going to need a fast card. I also am taking another 256MB fast card and a few 128MB slow :laugh: cards.
One of my co-workers told me that Bertolini's is a good place for Italian food and not too much money.

I paid about $59.00 with the delivery charge at B & H. I got a 512MB SanDisk Ultra II SD card which is a fast read/write speed card. A must have. I ordered it Friday night and I got it today. :thumbsup: Bring an extra battery/batteries, too.

I was told by a few people at work to make sure that I got lots of pictures and to get some of the new Wynn casino, too. I told them don't worry I am on it!

I heard that they do have metal detectors but I wonder if they will just hand check our bags. I can fit the whole case in a zippered compartment inside my bag. I will just put some lipliners inside the case on top if the camera and put some pads :shocked: over the case inside.

Sue, do you remember hepling me hide my old camera at the Worcester show? :lol:

Oh yeah! :laugh: I have only ever brought disposable cameras in so I've never really worried too much. Last time I brought a deep pocketbook and put it on the bottom covered with fabric, a sort of "false bottom". That worked! :thumbsup: Generally rumors about security tend to be stricter than actual security in my experience, although I've never been to the Colloseum.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if I will be able to get one in Vegas? I could get one here in RI but I don't want to have it go through the airport Xray machine. Then again I am bringing some 800 speed film with me. Hopefully I can get them to hand check my camera bag. :rolleyes: They are so going to love me.

I got one at CVS in the mall yesterday. It just has the slide button and it makes it the view a bit closer. There really is not much of a difference but it can't hurt to try it. The slide button is similar to the ones that those old 110 cameras (remember those??) used to have,
