its a flavored powder you add sugar and water to, to make a sweet drink with.

I don't think the essence of the Kool Aid Man can truly be defined.

When I was a kid, we had this awesome plastic Kool Aid Man shaped pitcher, and some little cups. I want one now. *off to eBay*

We had those cups too! We also had cups that were the Campbell soup kid's heads. I think mom still has those....

I don't think the essence of the Kool Aid Man can truly be defined.

GRAPE!!!!

I can't drink the stuff now - but as a kid!?! Man oh man....the more sugary the better for me...I used to basically drink Kool Aid and Tang goo because I wanted it SO damn sweet - I'm amazed that A) I still have teeth and B) that I don't weight 500 pounds...

Yep, Deanna, i can't believe he left off Grape!!! GRAPE!!! :] although, of course, I wasn't allowed to have Kool Aid as a kid. Had quite the little addiction going my first semester of college, though. "Hey, I'm on my own now, what better way to live it up then to drink sugar water?" :laugh:

Uh, he left off grape because the Kool-Aid Man is clearly red? And grape is dark purple?

I always hated grape. I was a cherry or lemonade fan.

I was more of a Tang kid when I was little....my aunt and unlce ALWAYS had Tang at their house lol...so I used to drink a lot of it---then when my mom would buy me my own Tang mix? Well I'd eat spoon fulls of the sugar powder lol....

I seriously can't believe I still have teeth :laugh:

Kool Aid is the best stuff ever. I drink it all the time, and use it as a haircolour. It's awesome. :thumbsup:

:laugh: :lol: me neither. I was more of a "water" kid, or a "milk" kid. Occasionally an "orange juice" or "apple juice" one. :rolleyes:

lol - water!?! What kind of weird ass kid likes water!?! :laugh: I'm kidding...

My mom was pretty lax..I LOVED soda and anything that wasn't water or milk - unless, of course, the milk had lots of chocolate powder in it - or the water had lots of colored sugar in it :laugh:

I ate cocoa mix out of the package. :shocked: Still have never had a cavity! :blob2:

Okay - I know...I used to HATE when my mom did that....I'd say, "I'm thirsty" knowing there was soda or something bad nearby and she'd say, "drink some water..." grrr.....lol...I'm so glad I'm no longer a kid :D

Of course now I can't drink any of that stuff - except for Chocolate milk, which I still enjoy from time to time....

Now I'm all about the Crystal Light lol and diet soda lol...

Christ, this is weird. You had a Kool Aid Man pitcher like me and you drank Ghostbusters Ecto Cooler, too. That **** was divine. I had Ghostbusters Ecto Plasm slime, too. :laugh: My grandmother put tons of Ecto Plasm canisters in my stocking one Christmas; I had all the colors.

when I was a kid (back in the dark time) WE used to eat jello out of the box. we'd pour it in our hands and eat it dry :] it was good!

btw: koolaid as hair color, that really surprised me but when I saw the neat teals and turquoises and pretty fuschias I was a convert! :nod:

I also ate Nestles Quick out of the can/box. In fact, I used to eat the cake mix before I added the eggs and liquid, I'd shake the bowl and make all the big lumps rise to the top and eat those puppies! One time, I ate so much that I had to add Nestles to the cake mix to make up for all I had eaten! Im surprised my mom let me in the kitchen :laugh: One thing I wasnt crazy about tho was that DANG OVALTINE! That stuff was NASTY! In my house, it was a law of nature, if I liked something it was gone in a flash, if I didnt, it sat around until it got moldy. I saved my mom the humiliation of leftover leftovers MANY a time...I was the guinea (sp?) pig on her "experiments" too :laugh:
