Can I just profess my love for Marianne Faithful please? LOVE this woman. Before the Poison is an amazing album. The songs she did with P.J. Harvey are stellar and not to be missed imo.

One of my favourites for bitchin' attitude - Whole Lotta Trouble.

You're not my friend
You're not my love
And this is something that we really don't discuss
"Where are you?"
Sometimes I hear you crying...
And I wake up and I get through it

LOVE that line.

Right now a particular favourite is "Face Up" by New Order:

Ever since I've seen your face
This life of mine has gone to waste
I was young and you were old
And I always knew you were cold
At the start you had a heart
But in the end you lost your friend
Can you see your own dark face?
It's dying in a lonely place
Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you
I said, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you.

I also love it when she's yelling "You're not living in the real world!!!"

Also:

He says, "When will I see you?"
She says, "I don't think tomorrow, baby"

And:

When I want something
I get it

Just a great overall bitchin', attitude-givin', take-me-on kind of song. Great to listen to when you're in that very mood.

"Revenge" by Patti Smith

"I gave you a wristwatch, baby.
You wouldn't even give me the time of day.
You want to know what makes me tick.
Now it's me that's got precious little to say.
For the ghosts of our love have dried have died.
There's no use faking it.
Ah, the spirits gonna close in on you tonight.
High time I was taking my revenge.
Sweet revenge.
Revenge. Revenge."

"Love is Like a River" by Miz Stevie

"You must have many things to remember-
Ooo, because nothing else in your life has really changed..."

"For the Roses" by Joni Mitchell (a song written about James Taylor)

"Remember the days when you used to sit
And make up your tunes for love
And pour your simple sorrow
To the soundhole and your knee
And now you're seen
On giant screens
And at parties for the press
And for people who have slices of you
From the company
They toss around your latest golden egg
Speculation-well, who's to know
If the next one in the nest
Will glitter for them so"

There are a pile more out there, but these are the ones that came to mind first.

Gawd, Hallo Spaceboy is one of my favorites. Easily his best live song. When he screams "This chaos is killing meeeeeee" and waves the mic in front of his mouth? I lose it. Kicks ass. I'm Afraid of Americans is great, too, but it has to be the album version or else they edit out the "p*ssy and cars" line.

Reality is another good, bitchy one. "Tragic youth was going down on me."

Rip Her To Shreds and Shakedown by Blondie are definitely bitchy and catty. Bike Boy from Debbie solo isn't really bitchy, but it's got lots of attitude.

American Boy by Juliette and the Licks is one helluva bitchy song.

Pretty much anything from My Ruin, particularly "Bravenet" and "Ten Minutes To Hollywood."
Pretty much anything from Kittie, particularly "Pink Lemonade," "Choke," and "Burning Bridges."
Poe - Angry Johnny, Trigger-Happy Jack, Control
Blondie - Rip Her To Shreds
Patti Smith - Radio Baghdad
Pretenders - Private Life, I Hurt You
Siouxsie & the Banshees - Carcass, Skin
Emilie Autumn - Chambermaid
The Distillers - Sick Of It All
Casey Stratton - Blood
The Creatures - Exterminating Angel

Most definitely. Especially live when Debbie rolls her eyes and yawns as she sings it.

That one line CRACKS ME UP.

"Do you know the weight I'm under, when everything revolves around you!"

And although it's not a particularly bitchy song Jig of Life by Kate Bush has a really great bitchy line that I'm obsessed with: "Where on your palm is my little line when you're written in mine as an old memory!" ZINGER!!!!!

Hmmm well when I'm in a "bitchy" mood Joan Jett usually ends up in the CD player.

But honestly I think it would've been highly amusing to have seen Grace Slick, Crissy Hynde and Joan Jett on VH1's old Celebrity death match...those three probably would qualify as rocks "bitchist"
