Hey guys, I'm ecstatic. After two trying years, and one ridiculously nerve-wracking oral exam yesterday eve, I have finally received my master's degree!!

Oh yeah, there's gonna be some drinkin' and partyin' going on tonight.

Such an accomplishment!!!- So much hard work-So much of your time spent studying, thinking and writing....So hard to explain to your friends/family that you have no time for them-such dedication required

Germanic studies with an emphasis in Scandinavian studies. My two areas couldn't have been more dissimilar: modern Swedish literature (20th century) and Old Norse! Yeah, finding a job in my field in Texas will be something of a disaster :laugh: Looks like I'm off to Minnesota! :laugh: Kidding of course. I'm still mulling over a doctorate in folklore with a Scandinavian emphasis, but we shall see.

Thanks for all your kind words fellow Ledgies! My celebration was, uh, shall we say, hard core? Had a lot of fun celebrating on Friday night and Saturday I was nursing a pretty bad hangover but hey, I had no studying to do over the weekend so it was fine! Thanks again!
