I would imagine it's worldwide to prevent a loss of revenue due to bootlegging. It's being shown at Cannes this year, I believe, they just rolled out the films that are going to be shown. It's not in competition, though.

I don't know if I'm going to see it. It sounds intriguing but I don't like Star Wars at all. But that Hayden is a hottie and I love love love Natalie Portman, so I might see it.

I have been burned by George Lucas five times in a row with this Star Wars ****. I ain't going in for number six.

By "burned" I mean

1) I saw Star Wars in 1977 in the movie theaters when I was eight years old. I wasn't old enough to realize what a piece of **** it was then.

2) I saw Empire Strikes Back in the movie theaters in 1980 when I was eleven years old and I was old enough to recognize what a piece of **** it was then.

3) I reluctantly saw Return of the Jedi in the movie theaters in 1983 when I was fourteen and I would have walked out, but I was with friends and had to wait for my ride back from the movie theater anyway.

4) I refused to see The Phantom Menace. However, I was in Palm Springs on vacation and it was hotter than hell, so my partner and I decided to give it a chance. OY!!! Whatta stinkah!!! It had been released for some time at that point and we knew the reviews but, at the time, Palm Springs only had one or two movie theaters so.....

5) I absolutely knew better with Attack of the Clones. However, one drowsy weekend it was on some cable channel so I TiVo'd it. Alls I can say is thank gawd for TiVo's fast forward button! Horribly bad.... horrible, horrible, horrible.

So, now there is no chance in hell I will waste my time on this drivel. All I can say is I'm glad it's finally all over and that this is the last of it.

I LOVED the first one and thought the next two were okay - the prequels have all been wtretched, the last one unwatchable to me. So, I will prob. wait to see the final one on cable. But, I may go one rainy Sunday - ya never know.

Ep. I and II were really campy and a bit lame, but I think Ep.II might just be the best zero-substance eye candy I've ever seen in my life.

And Hayden and Natalie are still hot. Hayden a little more, because he's like, dark and brooding and all, and Padme (Natalie) can be a bitch sometimes.

You got that right

I am so there. I have been watiting for this installment for years. Can't wait to see Anakin kick Obi Wan's ass. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick of Ewan MacGregor as a bearded Obi Wan. Ugh. Couldn't they have found someone better and less annoying?

I'm also really intrigued by the plot of this last one...and I'm curious as to how Anakin is going to finish his transformation from a troubled young Jedi into Darth Vader. It's the ultimate pitting of good against evil and Anakin's inner turmoil is going to produce some yummy brooding looks from Hayden ~swoon~. I also can't wait for another Yoda fight scene. Loves me some Yode. I wish there was a Yoda emoticon to really punctuate that.

I cannot stand Ewan MacGregor. I think the only movies I've actually liked that he was in are Shallow Grave and Moulin Rouge (what a perfect movie!). Oh, and Little Voice, I love that one, too. I get annoyed by him being bare ass and showing his wang off in practically every movie. It ain't that special. I still remember suffering through The Pillow Book and sitting in absolute misery as I watched Velvet Goldmine. He needs to go far away. -_-

Yeah, Velvet Goldmine. LOVE that movie...for all the obvious reasons of course and I'm sure you know what they are ;)
What I didn't like about that movie was Christian Bale  and Ewan M. Now as you may or may not know, I ADORE Christian Bale but his character in Velvet Goldmine seriously made me want to vomit. I've seen it!! He is a total dreamboat--but not in that movie. Blech. He's an amazingly talented actor so of course he pulled that role off with no problem and it's also nice to see that he doesn't mind suffering for his art, but please Christian do not lose that much weight again. yeah. Actually, the only time I care, is when I want to say something, but then I realize it's just all the gay boys talking to each other, about gay things, and maybe flirting, and they don't really care to hear what I say, cause they are busy with themselves, and I am not a gay boy, and they won't answer me, cause they want to only talk to each other, cause they are all gay? Which reminds me, I would've liked Guy Pearce better.... (sorry, i have a super crush on guy pearce).
Guy Pearce, Christian Bale and Seann William Scott all have permission to appear in my fantasy three-way movie where all these "questionable" down and out actors end up being roommates with only one California King bed to share between the three of them....

Sorry to contribute to the perversion of this thread (not) but my pea brain completely forgot about Guy and Christian.

Batman Returns. <3 I thought that was the BEST one. It was pitch black and I loved it.

Absolutment, my dear.... it was pitch black.... obsidian.

I worked in the movie industry (marketing) when Batmans Returns was released. I ended up doing a lot of extra work and got to see the movie, like, fifty times.

Michelle Pfeiffer is all that in that flick. My favorite scene is when she transforms into Catwoman and trashes her apartment- smashing the "Hello There" neon-pukifying sign, later to have it illuminate from a distance stating "Hell here".... ****ing awesome.

Back then, I actually had the body to pull off wearing the Pfeiffer Catwoman suit (I had to add the "Pfeiffer" to avoid referencing the abysmal and ridiculous Halle Berry costume- AWFUL), but, I wanted to do it "right" and I never got around to getting together with costumers to pull it off.

I could try to do it now, but I would be frosting-eating-Goldie-Hawn-from-Death-Becomes-Her trying to stuff the toothpaste back into the tube....

 Tim Burton used to be the ****. The opening certainly set the tone, when they tried to drown their mutated child. Christ, it's fabulous. Everything about that movie was perfection, especially Pfeiffer, who has to be one of the most beautiful women in the world. Thank the stars Sean Young didn't get the part, what a freak. Poor James Woods, it must have been a bitch ungluing his dick from his thigh.

I'm very afraid of Wonka, though. It's going to be a turkey of monumental proportions.

What a visual. ;)

I couldn't even begin to describe the laughing fit I had upon reading this.

American Psycho was a great movie; he's a fantastic actor. And he starred in, like, the only Spielberg movie that I liked.

That's the movie I remember not liking his face from. (American Psycho). I didn't see the movie, just clips and stuff. He looks different now, to me. You know, hotter, and wetter?

That pic is from American Psycho. His bod was killer in that movie. It was practically a crime. I love that scene where he goes through his morning ritual of facial masks and ****, it reminded me of myself.

I tried reading the book, but it was too repulsive for my taste. Brett Easton Ellis is quite a hack writer, imo. I read The Rules of Attraction just for ****s and giggles, and I was greatly rewarded with lots of giggles.

Ah! It appears I've been sadly misinformed by my own eyes. Hey, is Christian Bale black?

Even I, the sixiest of Kinsey sixes in the world thinks that Pfeiffer is the hottest thang on wheels- it's all in her 'tude.

Probably one of my top three favorite movies of all time. It's so chock full that there simply isn't enough space in Ledgiespace to blab about it. Everytime it's on cable, I watch it. Umph. Perfection.

Almost nothing compares to her in that sleek red dress and on top of that grand piano singing Makin Whoopee'. Good gawd.

I have a workprint copy of it somewhere and it has an entire subplot revolving around Willis having an affair with Tracey Ullman and running off with her. The ending is completely different, though, they don't crumble into pieces. That's another fabulous movie.

And he shows even more skin in the unrated version. Scrumptious, I tell you. I'm definitely ready to watch him fly around in the Batsuit for a couple of hours.

Check out Glamorama. You'll wish you had never learned to read.
