Guess I'm just a little too excited, but is it too soon to ask about pre-show gatherings? I know people are going on various nights and coming and going at different times.

My daughter and I are going the first night but we're arriving early the day before and leaving late on the 11th. Just curious... I'm already planning our activities and it's more than a month away! :blob1: :] :blob2:
I would love to meet some Ledgies and I'm sure she'd get a kick out of it too. She's a big internet-head... jes like her mom.

Where are you staying? I know there are a bunch of us staying at the Flamingo. My group is arriving the ninth but late in the evening. We probably won't even get to the hotel until 11.00pm or so. I will probably be tired from the travel and time change but amped at the thought of seeing Stevie and meeting everyone. I cannot believe it is now a month away. I am soooo glad I was talked into going. I would hate to miss something like this...especially the first show.

Count us in at the Flamingo. Theresa & I arrive on Tues 5/10 around 3:30, we should be at the hotel between 4 & 4:30pm. We leave late afternoon Thursday 5/12. I'm up to meet out whenever, wherever.

We're staying at the Luxor. I'll prolly leave the house around 4am Monday, our flight is 8:30am and we have a two and a half drive to the airport. Our first night might be an early one too.

In the event anyone who's in town Monday night and too amped to sleep, here's a karaoke place and a list of all the places in town that have karaoke.

Barbary Coast Casino 3595 S. Las Vegas Blvd. 737-7111 Darrel/Joe “The Hat” M T L+D 8-1:30

Otherwise, we should plan to all meet for an early dinner Tuesday before the show at the Hard Rock. How does that sound?!

It's off the Strip. Anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes in a cab depending on how quickly they drive/traffic/etc. I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to being on time, so I'd rather go somewhere closer if we meet before the show.

And we are so going out after the shows no matter what!

Just a suggestion, doesn't matter what day/time/etc. But Chinois is a really good Asian restaurant right in Caesar's (in the Forum Shops.) It's a Wolfgang Puck place - very good food & not too pricey. Extraordinary sushi, as well as other Japanese food. They also have Chinese food for the less adventurous. :p

Oh, definitely. No need to worry at all. There is no shortage of food in Vegas - any type, any place, any time. Even the smallest hotels have several nice restaurants & casual food courts. :xoxo:

The cheap buffets can be scary though. You have to be careful.

I know that it is not that exciting but I think that there might be a Denny's near my hotel and the Flamingo. I know that Vegas is open 24 hours but sometimes it is still hard to find a place open for food. I will not be happy at all if I don't get to eat after the show. WARNING!

I will also want to eat after the show. I used to have a really good listing of restaurants in Vegas including prices, hours, cuisine, etc. I will try to locate it.

One place that I wanted to go to last time but didn't fit it in was the buffet at Mirage - it's supposed to be different than the usual (I think you order the food from an enormous selection & they make it right away for you so it's fresh as opposed to sitting out for hours.)

I will start my food research......................................................NOW! :p

The Spice Market Buffet at the Aladdin, and the Bellagio's lunch buffet are awesome. Spice Market is supposedly rated really high in terms of food/price for Vegas eateries. The Paris Hotel has good French food (I know where to find Marissa...) too, but I think they're a little more expensive.

You think they're a little more expensive? I won't be able to go near Paris on my budget. It is beautiful though.

Actually, it really is hard to judge just by hotel. Delmonico's (Emeril's place) at The Venetian is about $30 per person for dinner, which is not terrible considering it's a nice steak joint with incredible food at a 5 star hotel.

BTW Tiff, there's a cute little Japanese restaurant at Monte Carlo. Didn't eat there, but it looked nice.

Are you serious David? That sounds like something I would have done when I was younger. If you're serious, we're there. :woohoo:

Folks, I haven't been to Vegas since 1976. You might as well say I've never been because I remember very little about that trip. The Travel Channel aired a piece about The Palms (3 hour wait to get into the Ghostbar) last night and I got a quick glimpse of The Strip. It is a lot bigger and longer than I had imagined/remembered it. So I know what everyone's talking about getting around to the different places in a fair amount of time. Good grief. I'd better put a little more thought into what we're going to do while we're there or we're likely to end up spending a lot of time transporting or "Standing in a line."

I am up for whatever everyone decides about after the show on Tuesday. I'll keep checking back here to see what is decided. I'm not particular about what kind of food or how much it costs. The place at Caesar's sounds nice and convenient. Any chance it might be really crowded after the show or does it matter to anyone? Anyplace convenient to the venue would be best.

YAY! heehee

Lol, sorry... the one time I was there it was someone else's treat and he made us order without looking at prices, so I don't know what the avg. meal costs. French food though, so I can imagine. Japanese, eh? I think I can safely say that is one type of food I have never tried. Maybe we should check it out!

 I may not eat there but I certainly would love to go see it. I have to make a list of stuff i've been told to go and check out.

I was told to save up for food and drink for Vegas--my friend said saying you can eat in Vegas inexpensively? is a lie. If you go for the convience of the strip, you're going to pay more. She told me every morning at The Flamingo they paid 20 some dollars for the breakfast. From their hotel room, there was a sign that said "Five Dollar all you can eat breakfast" with pancakes on the sign. They tried to find it more than once but never could

I plan on doing a little research but I am a huge $40 A Day/Rachael Ray nerd and she did a show in Vegas.

Yeah... a lot of stuff is ridiculously expensive just because it can be. They know you don't want to venture too far offstrip and will shell out the extra cash to avoid doing so. There are some good deals to be found, though. You can definitely find breakfast for under $20. The Flamingo is whack, apparently :p. I'll be going out for breakfast, if that's the case.

There's actually quite a bit in walking distance. There are also cabs on every corner and it's pretty cheap to get around that way if you ride with a couple friends. Plus, if y'all ever want to go out to eat together or something, we'll have a car ;).

Oh, they're totally going to sell it to you because they know the average tourist is going to want convenience over savings. They've made the trip to Vegas to gamble and spend money--mind as well spend it on food, too. If there's anything i've learned from watching Food TV, it's to check for discounts with the hotel and to get local suggestions from the people working there. Plus, I do believe we have a few locals of our own from The Ledge that i'm sure can suggest something decent  I'm down for whatever. (*waits for Kelly to interject with a "YOU NEVER EAT" *) I'm sure even though I can be slightly picky (as Pattie apparently also is), it's looking like Vegas can please everyones taste buds (including us pains in the ass). It looks like if not dinner, I can get some breakfast at Le Village Buffet in Paris (croissant's with a little bit of butter and strawberry jam are my friend Tiff!). Apparently it's $10. That's the price you'd pay here for a decent breakfast.

Girl..I am so there for breakfast with ya. (um, even though you will probably just 'look' at that croissant) Breakfast is one of my most favorite meals. Personally, I hate eating late at night, it stays on my ass forever, but I can nibble and have a drink or whatever after the show. Plus, I want to jam in as much sight seeing as we can into our three days, I have never been west either. I am really glad we have Paula and Tiff to give us pointers. At least we will be able to figure out what is the best for us to see and how to go about getting there. I would feel like a babe in the woods without some friends who are familiar with Vegas. Kandace lived there too!

It is possible to eat cheap in Vegas, but you have to look. Those $1.99 buffets are:

1) Hard to find - they're more in downtown Vegas or smaller gambling towns like Laughlin (which is a very funny/scary/tacky/weird place.)

2) Scary when you do find them.

Buffets can run anywhere from $9.95 up to $24.95, depending on where you go & what they have. MGM's breakfast buffet is very good, I think it's close to $20 though. Patty's right, there is a Denny's right near Caesars but it's a normal sized Denny's, so it's packed all the time. There's also a busy McD's around there, if someone wants a dollar menu quick fix.

As far as going off Strip - it's not a bad thing, but we should definitely go after the show rather than before. God forbid we run late, or there's an accident or something. I would be so pissed.

There was a brew pub on the Strip that served burgers & stuff, I can't think of the name right now. It was farther down, near the Riviera/Circus Circus. I'll try to find out if it's still there. As time goes on, we'll figure out a place & time. We may have to start another thread to post when & where everyone can meet - Diss will kill us! :p

EDIT: I also am a huge fan of breakfast! :blob1:

I just took a quick look & that's a really good site. I narrowed the search down a bit & that made it slightly easier to retain all the info, lol. Sounds like the Spice Market Buffet @ Aladdin Tiff mentioned got very good marks.

Oh, and Riss? Rachel Ray kick ass! LOVE her! I have a couple of her books, the great thing is that you really can make those meals in 30 mintues.

I love Paula Dean too, mainly for watching purposes. I don't think I could bring myself to toss in a whole stick of butter into something like she does. But damn, it looks good.

EDIT: Here's the review for the Flamingo. I'm glad we picked it.

I will so eat a croissant (or ten). Usually I skip breakfast and head straight for lunch later on but oddly enough, when i'm away and on vacation, I end up eating breakfast. Two Jersey girls in Vegas...heaven help everyone ;)

David, we'll let you make a decision or two :p

The Cannery is WAY too far from the strip. I would suggest the Peppermill Restaurant for breakfast, it is down the stip near Circus-Circus and Riviera.

Most of the buffets are edible for a few days. Atleast they will fill you up.

For those wanting to splurge one night for dinner, I suggest The Steakhouse at Circus-Circus. I have eaten at just about all of the steak houses in town, at one time or another and I find (Atleast of the strip) That one is best. Will run you about $30 or so which is as much as some of the buffets. They have large protions there. It is kinda out of place for a great place in there, but it IS good. Of course it will be higher if you add those pricey wines.

Otherwise there are lots and lots of restaurants on the strip. Just about any price from resemble to "What the F are they thinking?". For those that have never been there....The strip is LONG AND HUGE. You aren't going to walk the thing in one day unless you are nuts. After 3 of these megacasinos, most people go glassy eyed. Lots to see (much of it free). Also, if you want to see particular stuff, us locals get tickets discounts......so just ask. Also the big shows sell out weeks ahead of time, (AND CAN BE PRICEY) so if you want to see Mystere Or "O" or one on those, get reservations now.

Umm.....any questions just ask...... :)

I may forget a few things, and I won't list the various shows, those are kinda expensive, but here are some things to do. Some might be boring to some, but atleast the options are there. Most are free, or less expensive than the mega shows

Things to do in Vegas besides gambling (For teens and others) in no particular order:

At the Tropicana: Las Vegas Museum (old chips and things)
Titanic relics (good show saw it at the Rio a few years back)

New York, New York : Has rollercoaster - real fast and high

Manadlay Bay: Shark Reef - Big indoor Aquarium with walkthrough shark exhibits and critters

Luxor: Eygyptian exhibit, 3D motion rides, Arcades, Talking Camel Statues

Excaliber - Jousting show, various acts throughout the day, arcade

MGM - Lion habitat,

Alladin - Dessert Passages - big shopping area with "rain storm" inside kinda cool

Mirage- Dolphin and tiger areas - volcano out front

Treasure Island - Sinking boat show out front - more adult orientated now, not the pirates anymore

Circus-circus - Adventuredome (largest indoor amusement park, arcade, circus acts

Venetian - large shopping area with gondalas, various acts, and water course (on second floor). Gugenheim museum is showing Egyptian artifacts from Cairo museum. This place is worth a trip to see how much detail they did when they built it.

Ceasars palace - Large shopping area with Staute show, 3d rides, etc.

Hilton - Must see Star Trek Area for your Treakies/Trekkers (whatever) out there. Quarks Bar, and shows and shopping.

Imperial Palace - Huge Antique Car exhibit

Paris - go to top of eiffel Tower, various wandering acts in shopping
area

Stratosphere - very scarey (to some of us) rides at the top. Rollarcoasters

World Of coke - If your a coka-holic this is Mecca.

World of M&M's - Everything M&M you ever wanted and more. Colors and flavors found no where else.

Fashion Square Mall - Big Mall on the strip

Sahara - Rollarcoaster and Nascar stuff

Bellagio - Fountain show, Arboritum (inside), and various artwork scattered throughout (Degas, piccaso, renoir...etc)

I know there is a ton I have forgotten, but that is off the top of my head. There are more arcades, shopping, shows, etc......But the above are all on the strip.

Close to strip:

Hard Rock - mostly for its memmoribilla displays.

Rio - Has great free show that is Carnival/Mardi gras theme with floats and beads etc....big things fly around from the casino ceiling with dancers on them...etc.

Tons of clubs, nightlife, bars,...etc.

One tip: BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES - a lot of walking even after you enter these megaplaces. These are HUGE. First timers just don't understand how big these places are. (For instance..if you walked the complete ring of shopping at the Alladin Palace it is almost 2 miles I think they said).

Also the strip is great to people watch....Just when you think you have seen it all......And you can walk through each casino and check out each theme. They put alot of detail into them, so much to see. All have some sort of shopping, some better than others, and restaurants up the wazzoo.

Hope this helps. :)

The have a jellyfish tank that is just great at the aquarium! They seem to "glow". And the shark walk through area (they are all around you) is cool.
(For you Monty Python fans: Fishy...fishy....fish)

The Titanic show (If it is the same one from the Rio - same people) - was just Wonderful, although I was kinda put off by them "looting" a sea grave and all. But they did a good job of telling the story, and brought up ALOT of stuff from there. They recreated the Staircase and rooms and things - Just fantastic. Worth a see.

The Titanic exhibit was at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia for several months over the past year and just left in January. I had the opportunity to see it and I must say, it's worth it. I don't want to give too much away but upon entering, you're given a ticket to the ship with a name on it and a detailed description of the person that you are (where they're from, class, etc). At the end of the tour, you find out whether or not your person survived or perrished on the Titanic (at least that's how it was here but that might be because there were several local ties?). Lots of great artifcats and information for history and Titanic buffs.

Honey, the only thing you can't do is go onto the actual casino floors. The options are limitless! Seeker's guide is an awesome start.

Like she said - if you've never been, you can't even begin to comprehend what it's like. DO NOT try to wear cute shoes/outfits when you're walking all over the Strip - you may die. Sneakers all the way, baby! Bring your camera, a Strip map & same cash in case you just can't take it anymore & need to catch a cab (just remember, cab's can't pick you up on the street, you have to go to the hotel cab areas.)

I think if anyone wants to meet for drinks before the show, it may be a good idea to either meet up close to the venue: maybe at Caesars or if many of us are at the Flamingo, then there. Another option is NYNY (which is about a 15-20 minute walk, but a cab would be very cheap esp. if a bunch of us got one or two together.) There's a nice Irish pub style place in NYNY, as well as a coffee shop.

As far as afterwards, wherever's open, affordable & good will suffice. :p We can all figure that out later.

One recommendation I do have is the Stratosphere. You must go to the top to the observation deck (I think it's $12?) and I personally think it's better at night. A bunch of us (who aren't scared of heights  ) should go after one of the shows & take some group picks up there.

Yah, I originally wanted to stay at Treasure Island because it's a little more centrally located. But I let my daughter pick the hotel and she wanted the Luxor which is all the way at the END of the strip. I was like ooohhhhh nooo. I checked out their website and I know why she wants to stay there. It's just gonna make it hard for getting around. We'll have to literally abandon our hotel for the day. I had hopes of staying some place where we could stop in and rest up for an hour and then go back at it.

Well... so much for the bellyaching! I'm sure we'll make the best of it and it's gonna be a lot of fun!! :woohoo:

I also did a little more research and found the following...

www.bell-trans.com offers a shuttle to and from the airport roundtrip for $9.50 per person. Their number is (702) 739-7990. When you arrive at the airport, you go through baggage claim and look through door #12. They will have shuttles at that location.

Apparently, Las Vegas also has a trolley that will take you up and down the strip. It's $1.65 exact change to ride. The trolley begins at the Stratosphere at the northern end and goes to Mandalay Bay casino (the southern end).

Laura, The Luxor has an IMAX theater inside which would be awesome to do as well.

I'll post more when I find more information.

On a Tuesday or Wed? During the day? Seriously?

The only time we had major traffic issues was on weekends & sometimes in the evenings. It's a busy street with lots of signals, but it's not like there's a ton of traffic jams.

Here's a little update:

The best buffets are apparently Bellagio & Paris, but both are "gourmet" and are about $25 for dinner (one idea given was do lunch at Bellagio for $15 - they claim it's very much worth it.) Slightly cheaper but still rated very good ($15-$20) are at The Aladdin (Spice Market Buffet,) Cravings at Mirage or the buffets at Mandalay Bay or MGM. However, NONE of the buffets are open past 10pm, so going to one after the show is out of the question. I know the buffet at Boardwalk is open all night, but I also know the buffet at Boardwalk sucks ass. :o

As far as 24 hour joints to eat after the show, there's America @ NYNY (coffee shop/restaurant), Sidewalk Cafe @ Bally's (coffee shop/restaurant), Fix @ Bellagio (burger joint - the reviews sounded really good!) I'm sure there's more places, but I've just started searching.

More casual places in general are Brew Pub at Monte Carlo, Blue Iguana at Circus Circus (I've been here, pretty good Mexican food& great margartias!) or Nine Fine Irishmen at NYNY (bar that serves sandwiches, burgers, etc. I believe Irishmen is open until 2am, not sure about the rest.

Also - here is a basic map of the Strip for those who haven't found one. Remember - something that is "next door" to something else is still a good 10-20 minute walk at least. :D

More to come as I continue my scientific research...

I think we've found our post-show destination for a night. Which night should we do it? I'm in for Tues or Wed.

EDIT: I'm still looking into times of operation for places & the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery is open until 3am. Nine Fine Irishmen at NYNY is open until 2am.

I can't find the Stratosphere tower times anywhere. I want to say you can go to the observation deck until 11pm or midnight, but I'm not positive. I do know they charge you $10 or $12.
Like I said, I'd love for a bunch of us to go Tues or Wed & take some pics at night over the Strip, I just hope we can get there in time after the show.

BTW, people staying at Flamingo - our pool is supposed to be one of the best in Vegas. I'll just have to squeeze it into my busy schedule.

Oh, Riss I am going to hang with you poolside Tuesday morning. I cannot wait girl. The smartest thing you did was talk me into flying in Monday night. I would have been a wreck and a half arriving into Vegas at 3:30 on Tuesday...one small plane delay... and that would suck. Plus how long does it take to get to the hotel from the airport at dinner time? I would want to shower, freshen up and check out the surroundings before the show and I would have been so rushed. Sooo, yes, cabana Tuesday morning. NO CAMERAS allowed.
Laura, it is a shame you are staying so far up the strip from alot of us. I know about 12 people so far whe are staying at the Flamingo so we can hang in the lounge or something if we want and gab. Less than a month away now! Hooorah.

She told me I HAVE to check out Fremont Street. She had three full days there and said that simply wasn't enough. There's so much to see and do but she said we're all going to have a blast. I can't believe it's only 20 some days away...

I figure since our sleep schedules will be totally botched while there, we'd probably wake up early in the morning and could catch some early rays poolside

I'm glad you ended up changing your flight. It just would have been too much trying to get there and get to the show right off the plane. One little delay somewhere and you would have been screwed. I know, da*g it!! Well... my daughter and I decided this trip is going to be a destination vacation getaway where money is less of an object, so I let her pick the hotel. Otherwise we'd be at the Best Western Mardi Gras. My hope is that we will at least be able to get together with you folks at Margaritaville after the show. Glad you're flying in a day early. I didn't know you were coming in on Tuesday. My only reason was that I just didn't want to get there and feel like I was being totally rushed (mainly because I'm a girly girl AND a huge slowpoke...a deadly combination). If you happen to be flying Southwest, every experience I've had with them, i've arrived 15-25 minutes early. Assuming the weather is decent, I don't think you guys will have any problems. What time is your flight expected to land? Are you direct flight or do you have a layover? (it looks like you guys are direct which is a good thing).

Will be thinking positive thoughts for sure

um, I think longer, like an hour and a half? My flight leaves at 11:30 ish and gets there around 12 something...yeah, 1:30 is good. I didn't want to get there at 3 something either, it didn't seem like enough time. Although, if I can't get into my room, I suppose I just may be able to accomplish eating and maybe pool lounging (if they let me) by the time I get into the room. But it will be nice to rest and gather myself, I guess. Maybe I can say "hi" to some people who will already be at the Flamingo.

Yes! :D Besides, what I'm thinking, is that in my regular life, I hardly get chances to dress up (you may have more, but) so, if anything even remotely resembles an opportunity to dress up, I will. So you should definitely rock it. Plus, aren't you going two nights? That gives you another opportunity to wear what you want. I was thinking of trying to rock that green dress I got, but it's not quite as flattering as I would want it to be. I'm still having much shoe trouble. Also, I'm hoping I won't need a jacket for evening, but I'm pretty sure I will. That's kind of bumming me out. I haven't had many chances to dress up in quite a while and I am such a girly girl. And, I love heeled thongs! Go for it. Also, if you want to try the green dress, you can get a Nancy Ganz shaper from Filenes or Macys. They are not like girdles and do the trick. Although if it's hot, they're not too comfortable. They're better than pantyhose though, those are evil, blech. And yep, I'm going to 2 shows, so now I have to decide which night to wear what!

I'm not getting a shaper, no way, but thanks for the suggestion. The dress is so tight, it seems a shaper would show. 'Sides, the main problem is thighs, the shaper won't help that, will it??? I'll be pretty casual during the day (shorts or capris, T's or tanks, sneakers or very comfy sandals for walking.)

At night for the shows, I do plan to dress nicer. I'm thinking I'll leave my Stevie garb (platforms, black hankerchief skirt, black bell-sleeved blouse, scarves) at home, I haven't decided yet. I will be wearing the sheer tank with beading on the neckline I just bought (see shopping thread) & I'll almost definitely wear that with jeans & sandals. I've also decided on a black beaded blouse I wore for NYE last year, either with jeans or black pants.

I am terrible with heels, so we'll see how that goes. Wedges are back in, supposedly. Maybe I can teeter along on those... :o

Of course, this all depends on cash flow - I may end up with my black boots (cuz I heard somewhere that I can wear them all summer long if I want to.)

Same here, dah-ling... I'll be sittin on the bench with my shoes off, rubbing my stinky feet.

Night of the show I'll dress up a bit; black pants and a pretty scoop neck top with black strappy sandals that have about a one inch heel. I'm traveling light and casual; khaki capris, black tank and black Zeeta sandals. Levi jacket if it gets cold. I'll pack a couple of other nice tops just to change it up a bit. I found a cute bathing suit coverup that could double as a shift if it gets really hot. I thought about my long black lace dress and flat black suede ankle boots, but my daughter is going and she wouldn't feel comfortable with me dressed like that... so I'll spare her the agony. I don't get to dress up much either, but I've managed to put on 20 extra pounds over the last year so it's okay.

Every once in a while my feet will bother me. My family is certain i'll have some serious issues when i'm older due to the shoes I wear everyday for work. I love my shoes but I don't doubt i'll pay for it later :distress: Oh man...packing...thank God Kelly will be the only one to see me with my bag. She and I pack like we're going for months...you should have seen all of the crap we bought with us to Atlanta last year. The suitcase I use? Came with me for 12 days in France. I'm sure it'll be packed

I think I am scaling back a tiny bit and only bringing ONE bag this time around. Plus a carry on.
I am doing the casual thing during the day and dressing nice for the show. I just bought a nice pair of white capris with a pretty scarfy belt type thing. Maybe I will bring those. I need some new shoes!

Oh man, I forgot you bought a few last time  I'm still doing the handbag and just the suitcase. I was debating carry on but i think I can fit everything in my bag. The less I have to worry about, the better

No me too. I can fit it all in the suitcase. I am just bringing a backpack or something to carry on to shove the magazines and cds in. Longer plane ride than Atlanta.
I do not want to have to worry about carrying a boatload of luggage for three days.
I am worried my clothes are gonna be all wrinkled though.....I hope the Flamingo has a darn iron.

Hey, is everyone dressing casual? I'm actually dressing up because it's Vegas, baby, Vegas. I guess I may just stick out like a sore thumb!

I'm dressing up. I wanna look upscale so I get the better treatment, lol.

Man, that's the same way I feel and hoping I don't regret not having brought enough. My carry on always looks like a pregnant guppy. Darn shoes take up an INCREDIBLE amount of space. They should be collapsable, like a pocket knife. Not sure how much my daughter will take, it's not my business, but secretly hoping she only brings carry on. I hate standing in baggage check lines and standing at the carousel for pick up. Yawn.

Marissa and I will definately be doing the luggage belt because her suitcase would not fit into TWO overhead compartments! Neither will mine as it will be overstuffed.

I have a question - are backpacks considered too big to be carryon? Thanks! :wavey:

no - for most airlines it is 22 -24 inches. If you go to the airline's website they should a dimension guide.

Very cool. What are you wearing? For opening night I may wear a black spaghetti strap long black dress with gold metallic thread down the back in this awesome pattern. Or, I have one that is short with a diagonal stripe of silver thread down the front, it is VERY vegas. I don't want to buy another dress! I'm going to wear my new one on Wed.

Ooooooooh, you guys are doing dressy-dressy, huh? I do have this really gorgeous long black slinky dress with a turquoise llining & embellishments on it. Maybe I'll go for that if I won't look overdressed.

I think once we get the number of folks who will be there, we can then make reservations at Margaritaville for that number. Reservation for 50 please..... :D Ledgies could take the place over! Starting new thread to see what people think.
