Anyone here, (besides Lux ;) ), pulled an April Fool's joke, or are you going to?
My folks work second shift. When I got off work today, my little one wanted to know what April Fool's Day was all about. So, being that my folks were'nt home, I decided to teach my daughter what it was all about.
We went to my parents house, and I took a rubber band and put it around the sprayer on the kitchen sink. Whoever turns the water on is going to get it! Now, I know my father gets home first. He'll be the one to get it. He will ultimately blame it on mom, because she leaves for work in the afternoon after he does. Once they figure out it was me, they will try to retaliate. I'm almost sure they will try to do something in my house. So, in the morning when I leave for work, I'm going to set the alarm system. They don't know the code, and if it works out like this, they will have the cops over here asking pleanty of questions.
I can't wait!!! :D

I have nothing more to give, a harmless joke. Some of it can get quite nasty and it turns into a day of celebrating the misfortune of others. I remember when I was young, about 7 or so and a freak already, some girls came up and asked if I wanted to sit with them. An invitation into normal society, do you reject them harshly? I think I stuttered an "ok" and got a "haha, April Fools!!" back. ::sniff::
Brats........... I'm sure somewhere along the way, they got what they deserved. I despise nasty little children like that.

My Dad has pulled the rubber band on the sprayer thing on my Mom every year for the passt several years. And every year, she falls for it. He does it late at night, and in the morning when she stumbles in to make coffee...she gets it.

That? Is retarded. Twice in my school career pairs of girls made up elaborate plots to trick me in some way, and it was not April fools. Coincidentally, my previous best friend was behind both of them. She was not my best friend when either occurred. One was to try to make me not be mad at this girl in our group anymore (3rd grade) and one was about this new boy who liked me and I liked (highschool). Needless to say, the second one was much more cruel and complex. Not having a sneaky bone in my body, I fell for it both times. And, I was astounded at the complexity and planning that went into both. Who has that kind of time? Are people really that cunning? Why aren't I? etc. In the second case, of course, they were just jealous cause cute new boy liked me. :D Oh, wait, that same thing happened also when cute new boy liked me in 6th grade...hmmm....bitches, bitches, bitches...
In conclusion, I don't like pranks or practical jokes, and never really think of them, anyway. I prefer cruel sarcastic remarks to peoples faces...with a nice look of utter disdain or roll of the eyes

I did this one year, but i wouldnt reccomend doing it. My great Grandma who has suffered a stroke, got pranked by me a year ago..after she ahd the stroke. She was watching her Price is Right and I snuck in the kitchen and got a knife and put ketchup on my finger and on the knife and ran in scremaing, saying "I cut my finger" and she was all "Oh baby are you alright..honey call 911." then i started laughing and then she looked at me, as though she was going to kill me. All in all, dont do that

I have some real nice tricks up my sleeve. I'm not gonna say now, but once the pranks are pulled, details will come. I already got my mom with "U2 CANCELLED THEIR TOUR!(*#&" And after she freaked out, I offered up a nice "SYKE." Hee.

I've never participted in the April Fools thing. My mom was very anti-April Fools here's why:
My great grandmother (Grandpa's mom) was quite the evil shrew. She hated my grandmother and didn't seem to be too fond of her grandkids either...
So one April Fools day she told my mom, "I have an idea for a great April Fool's Day Joke on your mom"
So my mom - being the young kid she was, was excited to hear her grandma's idea.
Lela (the gg) told my mom to go to my grandma and tell her that her little sister had been hit by a car and was dead.....
So my mom did it.
My grandmother FREAKED out - then my mom got into major trouble (it was ok to hit your kids in those days) - and my mom has NEVER participated in April Fools since - nor did she ever let me lol....

Deanna, that April Fools story is pure evil, oh my! Your poor Mom.
I've never liked to trick people, probably for similar reasons to Lux. It makes my stomach fall to my ankles to feel someone's depression/embarassment at such a gag. I was certainly not an accepted/cool/popular child.
[Actually, this reminds me that I saw this really cool show about Ann Wilson this morning on the Discovery Health channel. It was called Ann Wilson with Heart and it chronicled her life through her issues with weight/accpetance and her operation and subsequent weight loss, it was very good.]
Last year April 1 was an exhausting, awful day. I finally got home and my roommate told me that our landlord sold the building and we had 60 days to move. I was in a vulnerable state and totally fell for it and she let me fret for a couple of minutes until I finally realized the date and then I called her out on it. I did laugh but it really wasn't funny.

I was thinking of doing something harmless yesterday but I never did. My Dad got breakfast at Mc Donald's yesterday and I was going to tell him that they gave him salt packets instead of sugar or that the cream containers were empty.
Of course he would have fell for it anyway because those things are likely to happen at Mc Donald's. I was half asleep yesterday morning so I did not bother.
My friend tried to get me last night at the eatery but her acting was so poor I did not fall for it for one second.

I just remembered my favorite APril Fools prank ever...
My grandpa was a dry-cleaner much of his life...he was working at a cleaner's before owning his own busines...anyway - he snuck into the women's bathroom and under the toilet seats he put some of those firecrakers that you like throw on the ground and they pop loudly...
Well - then at break time - as predicted a few women went to the bathroom at the same time lol....they got quite a shock
