Great. More inflated ticket prices. Borgata for Fleetwood Mac was $150. This should be just as high. I wonder if unlike Fleetwood Mac, this will be indoors at one of the other venues. I'll let you know if I hear anything around these parts.

So for those who have seen co headline tours, isnt it always understood that the "bigger" artist plays last? Or what?
I wonder how they would do this...I'm sure they would do seperate shows, because it would be a lot to work out to do a combined set

stevies show seems more fitting to go last she has some good rock songs that work better with lights, and end a show better like edge, stand back, etc

.
agreed. Stevie HAS to be last. I wouldn't mind Dona t all first, because its just like a warm up and heh I wouldn't even be in a hurry to be on time, and then after I hear Hotel California (the one Don song I really like) bam the main event comes. But there's no way I'd be able to go from Stevie to Don.

I bet they rotate back and forth. One night she starts, one night he starts, etc. They'll do lots together, and then they'll rotate who ends the show night by night.

Oh, and I'm THRILLED to see these dates trickling out!! I don't care where they are playing - I'd pay $150 to see her anywhere.

She had to date him. Like how the captain of the cheerleading squad goes out with the quarterback? The hot chick in the popular band has to date the lead guy in the popular band. I didn't make it up, them's the rules.

Jeez, no kidding. I've been kind of surprised by the lack of maturity with regard to the co-headlining-with-Don concept. Stevie would be touring with him because she obviously respects him, as she's worked with him throughout her career. And whatever anyone thinks about Don's music, you have to admire his ability to stick around for 30 years and still make music that's making some people happy, and if it means Stevie will tour in 2005 I don't see what everyone is bitching so hard about.

I don't think it's lack of maturity so much as people not liking Don, and not wanting to see Stevie and Don. More a matter of taste then maturity, I would say. ;) And actually, people don't have to admire anything. (Although I personally like Don ok, I don't want to see him). :wavey: And yes, it's cool if Stevie does some shows.

I don't really think it's our maturity (or the lack there of) that should be in question. I think the question should be (and is from all of us that aren't too stoked about it) is why is she touring with him when neither one have anything to promote and he'll just be getting off the road with The Eagles. Solo Stevie would be cheaper to see as opposed to the would be nostalgia trip that a Nicks/Henley bill creates. I don't necessarily mind his music (i've seen he and Stevie at A Day In The Garden in 98') but at the same time, I like to keep my artists seperate. If I want to see Henley, i'll go see Henley with The Eagles or on his own. I don't like splitting time between two artists which will ultimately shorten Stevie's setlist. If he was her opening act, I wouldn't care but if it's a double bill, we loose out IMO. Just my thoughts.

I am in the "hissy fit" category. I don't admire the dude. I do not want to pay to see him. I really do not feel the reason behind this double bill is Stevie's "respect for Don". :p In fact, that is probably pretty low down on the list as to "why" this tour is happening. :D
His music is ok, I prefer his music with the Eagles but if I wanted to see him, I would. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and if people don't want to compete with Henley fans for seats, pay out the nose for tickets to see HALF a Stevie set so be it. I will go because I love Stevie but I will not go to the ten plus shows I usually would.
So, more seats for you "Don/Stevie" lovers! :blob2:

I agree with everything that Amber, Marissa, and Kelly posted. :)

I really do not want to have to compete with Eagles/Henley fans for tickets either. Not to mention that the price will most likely be higher. Why pay for something extra when you don't really want it?

I like Don's music with the Eagles and some of his solo stuff. I would rather see the Eagles together, however.

I am sure that Eagles fans do not want to see Stevie either and some of them can be mean, too. I really don't think that Don and Stevie have the same type of fans myself but I guess that the promoters think that they do.

I really would much rather see a Fleetwood Mac show and this double bill at this point does not really appeal to me. That is my preference. I wish that Lindsey would get a move on it and tour already!

I don't think in Vegas (unless you're a comedian), that you have an opening act--especially with a show such as this. I'd have to look it up but I don't think Celine and Elton have anyone on before them. It's strictly them for an hour and a half and then it's over.

As far as Don is concerned, as this tour seems to be more and more likely each day, it's looking as though he might show up in Vegas. Perhaps it'll be a bit of a trial for them in front of a live audience together. I guess we shall see either way.

I think that the Ceasars shows will just be Stevie and no Don. I think that Don's name would have been on the bill on Ticketmaster and on the tickets. That does not mean that he might not show up as a guest, however.

I am also looking at the venues that Don played solo last year and wonder if those are the same ones he and Stevie will be playing at this year.

He did not tour 'the sheds' but seemed to do a few casino shows and we all know how those are.

I certainly don't think it'll be a Stevie/Don thing in Vegas but I think the chances of him showing up and performing Leather and Lace or Highwayman are fairly great.

Don AND Stevie have both hit the same venues touring with their bands over and over and over. There is such a thing as oversaturation in the market and I fear that's what will happen with this tour.

Casino shows...blech. Expensive and generally not the greatest venues.

I agree. Don just did a tour last summer. The Eagles are on tour right now. At least Stevie as a solo artist has not been around for a few years but she has no new album to promote. The Mac have been on tour for the past 2 summers.

If you are not a die-hard fan of either artist who is really going to want to see them? If you are a major fan of either one chances are that your money is already gone from their previous tours.
