What kind of car/truck/etc. do you drive?
What do you want to get for your next car?
What car would you never, ever buy/drive?
What is your dream car?
I drive a bright red 97 Chevy Monte Carlo. It still runs great, body's good & the best part is that it's paid for.
I've never owned anything besides Montes (I had a 77 & 84 before this one. My dad had a kickin' 72 a few years back. Gorgeous. Some guy smashed into it. ) but I'm thinking of going for a small SUV within the next year or two, mainly cuz the 2 door thing is becoming more & more of a pain and I need more room (for dog, camping, shopping, whatev.) Jeep Liberty, Saturn VUE & Hyundai Tuscon are on the list of possibilities.
I would never get one of those Honda Element square cars. I think they're hideous :sorry:
I don't really have one anymore. I used to love Corvettes, but now - eh. BMW/Mercedes/etc. do nothing for me.

Right now I'm drivng a 1999 Mazda Protege...that I bought all by myself - I was SO proud lol...it's almost paid for. It's dark green, 4 door...and on the back window I have: A Beatle logo sticker, an NPR logo sticker and a WXXI logo sticker for the station I work for...
For my next car I'm thinking about either a Volkwagon - like a Jetta, or a Subaru...or another Mazda.
I'd NEVER drive a Ford :p or a Dodge...or a Grand Am...I hate them....

I drive a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. It's ocean blue. 4-door. It's a sweet ride.
I don't have any idea what my next car will be. I'd like to get this one paid for. And then I'd like no car. I hate cars. I hate driving. I hate car payments. I hate car insurance.
I hate Honda Elements, too. I also hate the Toyota Matrix, and the Pontiac Vibe and the Aztek. And PT Cruisers. And those new Scions. I hate a lot of things.
I don't really have a dream car. One that's paid for. Although I do think that new Ford Mustang is HOT. And I hate sports cars.

I drive a 2001, four door, dark green Mazda Protege.
I'm thinking my next car should be a hybrid. That came to mind yesterday when I paid $2.44/gallon for gas.
My dad tells me to never get a chevy. He's had back luck with them.
My dream car would be a 70s mustang, fuchsia colored, with black velvet interior. No. Seriously.
To me a car is a car and if it gets me from point A to point B it's good enough for me.

2004 Nissan Maxima, 2005 Ford Explorer
Yeah, I drive two cars. I love the Maxima, but its 18" wheels are not the best in the winter. An amazing autombile for the money.
I would love to drive a woodsided 1988 Dodge Caravan.
Seriously a 1968 Vette with a 4 speed and a 428 under the hood.

I don't have a car.
I want a convertible, a tiny one, red, black, or silver, my car has to be stick shift - like a miata, or a toyota spider, or one of those things. Of course, if I ever have the money, I have to get a hybrid. Luckily, by the time I do, they will probably make a tiny convertible one... :D

i currently drive a '97 mercury mystique. i didn't pick it out and i don't like it. when i left NYC i needed a car and i handed cash to a friend and that's what they brough me. at least it's in good shape. there's a RedSoxNation sticker on the back and a New Yorkers for Kerry sticker on the front. my plate reads FMACFAN and my anti-FM roomie just laughs at me every time she sees it.
i was rear-ended a few weeks ago and was going to spend the insurance $$$ on a new car, but instead decided to blow it on new furniture, jewelry, and a trip back to NYC.
i am looking at a pontiac vibe, i know *hayley* doesn't like them, but i think they are so hot. a few weeks ago on CarTalk, one of the guys stated that 'a honda element would benefit greatly from a roll-over.' so true!

I think you may be right about the Chevy. I have a used car and got mine first, then my friend bought a Cavalier brand new some time after, her Cavalier has already croaked, and I'm still driving my Toyota . So I would advise against a Cavalier from her experience. :distress:

What kind of car/truck/ect. do you drive?
Currently I have a '01 black Corvette. I'm kinda sick of it though, and want to get something new.
What do you want to get for your next car?
Something way out of my budget I'm sure.
What car would you never, ever drive/buy?
A Hummer, Element, Grand Am, or a van. Boo!
What is your dream car?
A Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Mercedes. The list goes on and on.............

I drive one of those plastic SUVs......2002 Yukon Denali....White....its shorter than the xls. I love it.....when your hauling kids around and carpooling it does the job nicely!
What do you want to get for your next car?
Don't know, need to get this one paid for first.

Any compact car.
What is your dream car?
69 Chevy Camero......

What kind of car/truck/etc. do you drive?
95 red Blazer. I was planning on getting a new one this year, but the vet bills are looking like I'll be driving it another year.(I don't NEED a new vehicle! :xoxo: ) I also have 2 U-hauls.
What do you want to get for your next car?
From above, I was PLANNING on a new Blazer, BUT, with the way gas is going, I'm thinking about keeping the one I have for bad weather, and buying a Civic or something.
What car would you never, ever buy/drive?
Ford.
What is your dream car?
Some antique car, like a Model A(yeah, I know, that's a Ford- before they sucked!)

I drive a 2003 Saturn Vue. DON'T get one... whoever said they were considering it. I've had nothing but trouble with this one. But it's paid for, so I won't be getting a new one anytime soon. I can say one thing, Saturn's are damn safe. My late hubby rolled my first one 4 times and he and my lil' one came out without a scratch on them.
Dunno about the next one. I'm enjoying having one paid for!
I would never drive a hummer, or a littlel bitty car. Or a Ford. Unless it's a Mustang... then I might consider it.
My dream car? A '69 Camero. I almost bought one last year, but he wouldn't come down on the price. He wanted over $17,000, and I refused to pay that much for a 35 year old car. Sure was pretty, though......

I have a maroon, 96 Toyota Camary. (with a Stevie Nicks Rocks sticker on the back :D ) It's nothing fancy, but it will last forever. Or, I should say, it HAS lasted forever! I also have an 83 Fiat Spider (little red 2 door convertable sports car kinda thing). I kind of inherited it from my loser ex boyfriend. I want to sell the damn thing..I don't even know how to drive a stick!
If I could get any kind of car, it would probably be a black Lexus sudan of some sort.
Cars I would never own....most american made cars :sorry: I haven't had much luck with them. Especially my ford escort  What a piece!

I don't think it has a working radio. When I say the inside is tore up, I mean it's BAD. It's just a mess. You don't want a Fiat...they are no good. What kind of car/truck/etc. do you drive?
96 Ford F 150 pickup truck. The last year with the square nose, stick shift, dual gas tank ! I love it.
What do you want to get for your next car?
Don't know. Some other truck, but they are all ugly. Next one has to have an extra cab and again, the dual tanks. But no more stick. I drive too much. The clutch is giving me foot ache. If there were a hybrid truck, I'd buy it.
What car would you never, ever buy/drive?
Any little car - I feel like I would be squashed. I feel better up high. The Hummer is also a ridiculous vehicle.

My dad collected corvettes before I was born. He still doesn't hesitate to tell me that when I came along, off went the corvettes. "If that's not love, I don't know what is." Mom owned a blue thunderbird when I was a kid. Probably wasn't the safest of vehicles but it was cool.

Have you drove one ? I am undecided. I just can't get past that grey/black plastic ornamentation on them. It reminds me of all the plastic accents on the Honda Element. Again, I like the design of that car, but the plastic things make it look kind of like a basketball shoe. Maybe I'll test drive a Titan.

I have been a Ford pickup truck guy since...1990. They can't make an AC system to save their lives. Mine never last. But that is the only major problem. Still running well at 175k miles. I did love my first truck, a 77 Toyota. It was like a sewing machine, that thing. So simple. I replaced the alternator, the brakes, and all kinds of stuff. It was so easy to work on.

Ain't that the truth. Those suckers are barfugly.
I drive a blue Beetle, I want a Honda hybrid next. I would never drive anything much bigger than a Beetle, I would never drive a disgusting SUV, and I would never drive anything green. Or a pickup truck. *shudder*
Oh, and my dream car is a tiny, tiny car. The smaller, the better.
Oh, come take a ride with me in my big, green pickup truck, Mister.
We could put your little blue ride in the bed of the truck and play Franz very loud.
No gun rack.

Haven't driven it, but it was comfy to sit in. I actually like the accents on it, plus it has a little cubby on the side of the body right behind the driver's side rear wheel to put stuff in. :p I'm a sucker for glove compartments, cupholders, cubbies, etc. on cars/trucks.
The 1999 Dodge Dakota we have has had 3 catalytic converters, a steering problem, problems with both ball joints, issues with brakes, electrical recall, it stalls when you put it in park, I could go on & on. Thank God most of it happened under warranty.

Here is a pic of an Eldorado similar to mine, which is black on black.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/strandinthewind/eldo64a.jpg
It currently is in about 3,000 pieces being rebuilt. It is not really my hobby, but I am friends with an enthusiast and I like the cars. I also had another 64 Eldorado which was turquoise on turquoise (can you say FABULOUS  ) and I had a 62 Ford Thunderbird factory built roadster. Older cars are WAY cool, but are a hassle.
My dream car would be an Isotta Frachini ( http://www.prewarcar.com/searchresults.asp?make=Isotta%20Fraschini )so I could be like Norma Desmond on the way to see Me DeMille saying We have a car!! An Issotta- Fraschini. Have you ever HEARD of an Isotta- Fraschini? All hand-made... Not made of chromium and SPIT like these new contraptions...., cost me Twenty- eight THOUSAND Dollaaaarrrs!"

LOVE classic cars! That's a beauty, Strand! Like I mentioned earlier, we had a 72 Monte - amazing car, it really had some balls too. I loved driving it!
My parents had a 64 Ford Galaxie convertible (white with red interior) which was mom's dream car. Someone broke into their garage last year and vandalized it. :( It wasn't worth repairing (not that they could have afforded to do so...)

My dad has a '64 buick special, 3 speed on the floor, that I have wanted for years. Unfortunately, he took off the baby half moon rims that I loved, and it is currently an ugly brown color, but I still want it. It works divinely, and hauls ass. That's in the "best of driving a boat" series... :p

Speaking of rims, did you know that P Diddy came out with his own line of tire rims? He wants to rim America, so he must be quite queer after all.

Well, men in on the downlow would never call themselves bisexual or gay, so who knows what we should call him.
It's just a guess. I just get that vibe.

He can't even decide on a friggin NAME. Can't imagine he could decide which side of the bed he wants to sleep on. Blech. And he is one of the nastiest, rudest people in the music business.

I'd be disgusted if anyone is f*cking J Ho. No, I don't think he is.

I've heard that. I'm actually sensing some "other" category with him, besides either boys or girls. If you know what I mean.

Currently, my dad has a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda sittin' in the garage being restored. He's doing all the restoration himself. This is one bad ass car. It's that Chrysler orange, with black interior. I can't wait until he has it done. What a kick ass car.

I just spent hours looking for a used car. I got about , well no money and it's hard to find something good.
I may have settled on a 98 Saturn with only 40k on it! It's the coolest blue color.
My dream car? A sage green Pasaat.

Okay. I have been staring at this Titan that I always see driving to work (and the dude that drives it ain't bad either). I am going to go test drive one this weekend just for fun. I wanna check out that snappy little cubby hole.
You know, I always thought the Dodge trucks looked like they would break down. Especially the Ram truck. They have a clunky look to them. Sorry your Dakota sucks rocks.
