It's nice to get news about what she's going to do in Vegas or what she's going to sing, but at last count (thank you, Greg), there were 33 some-odd threads about it all. I'm not a big believer in "less is more" but I am in this case. There are, what, three or four threads alone about we want her to be in the setlist. Why not just merge them? And maybe just glance down the page for twelve seconds before posting duplicate #91 and making this place confusing? That's all. :shrug:

Well I think the problem is it is entirely different info. The thread would have be entitled: "Where are you sitting, staying, hoping stevie plays and are you on the fence about going; have you heard any new interviews with Stevie, etc...."

That said, I do believe it would be possible to have only about 5 threads about it from all the duplicates out there.

I think those of us that are going are just really excited and haven't been worrying about the threads snowballing. Seriously, this is the only Stevie news/event in a long time so it is only natural that 90% of the threads have to do with Vegas.

In the Say You Will era most of the threads had to do with the SYW tour on the Fleetwood Mac board. There were concert reveiws, digital pictures, setlist speculations, etc permeating the board... Same thing, sort of.

I think it's a bit different when you delete dupe threads that have no responses, but it's your call and your board. At this point, it's just as hard to navigate the Stevie Nicks board as it would be to navigate the open ocean if I were blind and unable to swim. Maybe Diss has a point, Johnny. Is it possible to create a "folder" of sorts in the Stevie forum with all the Vegas threads in one spot. It would make it easier for those that have no interest in Vegas (like Dissention) to skip over it and people (like me) who want all the Vegas info they can get to find it faster. So all the threads would stay in tact and remain active just in a seperate folder, is that a possibility?

I was talking about the deletion of the work of the poster (one example of many) who begins his little redundant thread, all excited about it, and then comes back only to find it gone. Oh, his weeping fills the air as he curses the Nazi moderator who found him unworthy! Especially since his thread probably wasn't exactly the same. Why, it very well may have been "Are you staying at Caesar's" which of course is very different from "Where are you staying." :rolleyes:

OK, yeah, the redundant threads are annoying. But it's harder than it looks to moderate these kind of things. Nothing you do is gonna make everybody happy, and it's up to Johnny Stew to try to negotiate it. He has to take all points of view into consideration. I'm rather new, but I already do waste a lot of time sifting through the posts. What with long "signatures", and the referencing of earlier posts, the threads can be 5 pages in an hour. If they were in folders, or no new redundant ones were started, that would help. It would be time consuming to constantly monitor this board.

...would it be possible for the Vegas threads to be merged? I'm excited for y'all, I really am, but if I see one more Vegas thread that is the exact same as 47 other ones, I'm going to pull my hair out and stomp on the ground until the Earth cracks and I drop into the bowels of Hell.
