The registered sex offender, John Couey, just admitted to authorities that he abducted and killed the 9 year old Florida girl, Jessica Lundsford.

That's so terrible...Nancy Grace (who I love to watch) interviewed Jessica's dad on CNN last night about the news that this guy had been caught and that last night he was only a "person of interest." Weird to know the guy lived basically next door to them..the Dad seemed upset last night almost as if he knew it wasn't going to be a good outcome

i LUV nancy also, i wrk from home & watch court tv all the time becuz of her & her own tragic story, but this ending 2 jessica is horrible~ & the step-sister or some1 like that of this inhuman beast said he had left town becuz he was innocent & didn't want 2 b "a suspect"~ whata pig~ this makes me ill~

Yeah - this guy is in for it. In prison, these types of guys always get attacked by the other immates.

When I hear stories like this, it makes me think of how I would feel if it were my child that was murdered. Because I don't have kids yet, the closest thing is my nieces. God, I would want to kill the bastard.

I know what you mean. I was consumed with that thought after Sammantha Runion was killed in CA. I still don't think her killer has gone to trial... :distress:

I discovered the "Knockin' on Doors" demo about then, and I still can't listen to it without thinking of her.

Nancy's fiancee was stabbed to death one week before they were to be married. It was a random act of violence. They did prosecute the person and my understanding is that he is in prison for life.

And, yes, like Amber said earlier, doesn't this kind of behavior always escalate? Why, why, why does something like this have to happen in order for a sick f****r like him to be put away forever??? No...he wasn't in prison for his past offenses, instead he was working in a friggin school??

Sorry to rant, but last Saturday night I was so freaked by the whole thing I actually got out of my bed and slept in my daughter's bed with her. Oddly enough, as soon as I got up, my hubbie knew where I was going and why. Neither one of us could sleep.
