So how come Mick never toured with Stevie as her drummer? He has shown up at enough of her concerts over the years to indicate plenty of interest in her solo career. (He even played conga drums on her California 1986 shows.)
He's not busy with Fleetwood Mac when Stevie is solo touring.
He has certainly played drums for plenty of other projects onstage, & he obviously likes it.
He's good enough to play her solo sets.
He'd dig the income from a Stevie Nicks tour.

Did Stevie never ask him? did she ask him & he said no? She's been on tour eight or nine times or more, & not one tour was with her best friend Mick on drums? Makes no sense.

Maybe the ladies in Mick's life discouraged it...? :p

Interesting question though.

I've often wondered that myself.
She made a comment during one of the boots of the Enchanted tour about convincing "Mick Fleetwood he wasn't going on this tour with me."
I often wondered what that meant.

And he played on Red Rocks too.

The comment I have regarding Mick, I think its from A Day in the Garden. Stevie is intro'ing her band and says "when Mick finally accepted I wasn't bringing him along on this tour, he said.. 'Well get a good drummer'...so I did, Mark Schulman""

I got the feeling that she was saying Mick really wanted to and for whatever reason, Stevie did not want him to. I wonder if it has anything to do with the other members. Maybe it would hurt their feelings or Stevie thinks it would? Dunno.

She didn't want him peddling Egyptian jewelry, drum loops, and homemade wine to her fans.
