Stevie Nicks will begin a four-night stand at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas on May 10, under the moniker "Dreams." "I am looking forward to it because it's a chance to play and do something where you don't really have to travel," the artist said backstage last night (March 14) at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York.

"So, for me, as an almost 57-year-old woman, this looks very good, because it means you can put all of your energy into the show as opposed to traveling all over the United States," she added. "It would be a nice thing for me to be able to do until I'm a very old, little old lady."

Nicks says the show will consist of "favorite songs, which you don't always get to do. This is a chance for me to go back through all those many, many years and pick out a few songs I haven't always done. It's always exciting to do some new music."

The artist would not comment on reports that she will tour this summer with Don Henley, saying only, "I can't talk about that because I'm not sure. I really don't know."

As for Fleetwood Mac, which played nearly 140 shows in support of the 2003 comeback album "Say You Will," Nicks says, "We're just resting right now, because we feel that as all wonderful things go, you come out and you make a big show of it, and then you go away for a little bit and rest, so when you come back, it's all wonderful again."

Added drummer Mick Fleetwood, who held Nicks' hand tightly while answering questions, "I think there's always a Fleetwood Mac story somewhere." Asked if longtime member Christine McVie would ever return to the fold, he replied, "I think [the chances are] very, very slim [or] next to nothing, so I will say no. But we miss her."

Well, after the overwhelming response, night after night, to Beautiful Child, just from her introducing the song, she'd be a fool not to pull some more gems out of the top hat! :p

Theres a good chance I will be Flying from Massachusetts to vegas for these shows. If She does anything from OSOTM ill be thrilled. All I have to do is get someone to go with me and I can go. I think ill be going for Friday and Saturday nights show. I swear if she does Alice at one of these shows my Stevie Nicks goal will be completed.

I was happy to see " I will put all of my energy into these shows".

After reading this and seeing pics I NEED TO GO!

I'm sooooo glad I decided to follow my gut and buy tickets! I'm really hoping she follows through on this and plays some good stuff.

I'm feeling a "Crystal" and "Blue Lamp" vibe could possibly happen. Maybe "The Highwayman", too, since she talked about trying to do it at a past AHI show. It's too much to hope for "Storms", as I have a feeling she'll be concentrating on solo material.

I wish that I coulda done Tuesday opening night to get blown away by the surprise, but here's hoping to my willpower will be able to hold up for a coupla days and I'll stay away from this joint and be surprised on Friday.

I'm getting exciiiiiiiiiited!

Those tee-shirts are soooo pathetic.... Isn't that "mytimelesstreasures" EBayer infamous for something??? Is that the chick with the sunflower trailer trash garden???

Jason, are you going to the Vegas shows??? I find it hard to believe that you are gonna miss this opportunity now that we know she's most likely gonna be pulling out some gem material.

I think it was Sat.'s performance. Other sites have a few front rows as well -- a google of "Stevie Nicks Las Vegas" revealed them.

Well, I paid 400 bucks for front row in London. So, I am a moron...but $1000, no freakin' way. I'd love to see Stevie, but I'm hoping and praying to follow Lindsey around the country when he tours. *Prays hard* LOL

I don't regret paying that much, because I will have those memories until I die. :) It's only money, and if I can afford something I REALLY want, I get it.

yeah, I paid $350 for mine, and it was totally worth it. But - the whole band was there, I'd never seen all of them before, only Stevie, from way far away. But I definitely agree with you.

i agree with you on all parts. i paid over $300 for my borgata tix and didn't blink an eye as i wrote out the check. try to explain to a non-fan why it was worth it...

and as for following lindsey, i'll be right there with you...

and as for the $1000 tix, well, depending on just how crazy i get, i'll fight for them...

Knowing Miss Mcluin, she drafted those designs the minute word broke on The Ledge about a possible Vegas stint. She's always prepared for this type of stuff, her main source of income has been from peddling Stevie for years and years.

She's evil, stay far away.

Sounds like she's pitching herself as a Vegas act... Maybe even in talks with someone?
I kind of recoil at the thought of that -- just because of the cheesy, Celine-ish connotations -- though I can see her point about how it would be nice for her at this age. And hey, if it means she does new stuff, that would make it all worthwhile...

Vegas would be a great place for Stevie to "settle into" professionally. I hope she is not ready to do that just yet! I don't think it is time for that yet for her. But Vegas is only a 45 minute flight from Phoenix so it would be great for her in the future.

It seems like this presale hardly contained any seats in sections ORCH 3, 4, or 5. Lame.

The best I've been able to pull up is GG in section 6 (off to the side) and I can't decide if I should wait 'til Saturday for the public sale. I'm not sure if being off to the side will be worth the most expensive concert ticket I'll have ever bought.

In my experience waiting for the public sales have always been either very rewarding:woohoo: , or completely devastating. :distress: It's a gamble I suppose, but then again this is Vegas!!!

Oh, and does anyone know how many hours Las Vegas is behind Eastern Standard time? The public sale starts at 10AM on Saturday, am I right in thinking that would be 2PM East Coast time??

Well, the venue is small. So if you're off to the side I don't think it is going to be that bad. I saw Fleetwood Mac years ago off to the side which would have been perfect if I were a huge Chris fan because I could have spat on her piano. But Stevie's back was to me all night due to Lindsey's position on stage.:( I vowed never to get such tickets again. But, I like to change my mind as some Ledgies are already aware. I figured I would get one guaranteed seat and then take a risk on a second nite. So for Tues I'm holding out for center if it is in the cards, so to speak.

I spoke to some folks I knew had seen Celine and they said that there really isn't a bad seat in the house, the far sides have just a great a view as either 3 or 5. Along those lines, second row tickets for opening night have been popping up early in the morning (sec. 6 DD is second row).

Jeez. Since these shows were first "rumoured" I've been talking myself into going. But then the day these shows were confirmed Jetsgo, the only discount Canadian airline that flew into Vegas went bankrupt. Then yesterday I checked on Air Canada's website and tickets were "only" $420 CDN, and I thought "well that's not TOO bad", but now today the same tickets are $580! Arg!

I think I'm going to see if I can get AMAZING there's-no-way-I'll-miss-this tickets on Saturday, but if not, no La Nicks for me. :distress:

You could fly out of Buffalo on Southwest - many are direct flights. It's between $299 & $400 US roundtrip, depending on what day & time you need. That's what Theresa's doing. Just a thought.

I just tallied my total for flight, tickets to 2 shows & hotel for 2 nights - $845. I must be crazy.

I'm in Canada too.. and flight alone would be about $700, not including hotel, show ticket etc. So, I figure over a grand in total... for one day! I think I'm going to pass. I don't really have an interest in Vegas other then this show.. .otherwise, I'd make it a few days and a bit of a holiday.

It would be great if this could be a yearly thing for Stevie.... Drop into Vegas, do a week of shows... Even if it was twice a year, this way, eventually, I'm sure everyone that wanted to go, could eventually fit it in.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Macman >> I've been searching around, and I actually found some great deals on expedia.ca and cheaptickets.com! Roundtrip from Toronto to Vegas for under $450CDN! Not too horrible. I'm just waiting for Stevie tickets to go on sale, hopefully the deal will still be there this time tomorrow!

skcin >> I love flying out of Buffalo! I flew to La Guardia from there once for like, fifty bucks. The only problem is that between taking the Greyhound from Toronto, taxi to the airport, and the flight itself I don't think I could make it to Vegas before showtime, at least not without worrying the whole way there.
